An excellent service
An excellent service. As our office is closing we have many confidential waste sacks to be collected and Restore have been flexible and supportive. We requested extra collections and these were actioned quickly.
Restore have been a massive help in our final weeks. Special shout out to Daisy Bond, their Internal Sales Executive for her awesome communication and response times!

5 Star Service
Richard Jones has been extremely helpful in dealing with the recycling of our waste products. Previously we organised a courier to collect the waste and bring it to us and then Datashred would collect from us. With Richards help we can organise a courier to collect the waste and deliver directly to Datashred, which stops a build up of waste in our factory. Since this was put in place it has ran seamlessly and Richard is always on hand to help. Great Service all round.

Failed to collect the bag and only responded after complain posted
UPDATE: Customer services emailed me shortly after this complaint was posted, and agreed to a refund. It is a shame I had to resort to TrustPilot to get a reaction, but in the end Datashred did the right thing.
This company is a joke. They took payment in October 2025 to collect one bag of shredding from an address in central London and as of now (2 March 2026) have failed to collect it or issue a refund.
When I call apparently only one person can deal with the issue and she is never available. Emails only generate a ticket and a reply about once a month with no resolution.
Zero level of accountability or customer service.
I contacted a different company who collected the confidential waste in 48 hours.

I also want to clarify that we wouldn't only have one person responsible for collections, there should always be cover to ensure collections are carried out.

Understanding this will help us address the issue properly and ensure it doesn’t happen again.

Going directly through RESTORE made a significant difference in the level of customer service we received. The communication was clear, responsive, and personalised, which was proving difficult to achieve through our indirect channel.
Fiona demonstrated a highly professional demeanour throughout the entire process. They were proactive, attentive, and committed to ensuring our needs were met. Notably, they even contacted and followed up outside of normal working hours to ensure our service standards were upheld. That level of dedication and accountability truly reflects outstanding customer service.

Will try to tie you into super long contracts with large notice periods that are hard to get out of. Once we finally managed to leave they did not bother to make last collection of our confidential waste but still charged us for it. We complained but were told we would have to pay extra for a new collection.

We're really sorry to hear that you’ve been left feeling this way about your contract and final collection. That would never be the experience we want our customers to have with Restore Datashred, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
Looking into your account, I can see that your service was set up on a fixed‑term agreement with a standard notice period. When you contacted us about cancelling, our team explained the process and confirmed the contract end date, as well as arranging the final collection that was due earlier this year.
Regarding the last visit, our records show that the driver attended site on the 28th Jan but as no one appeared to be on site at the time we were unable to collect the items. This was logged as an attempted collection, which is why the charge still appeared on your account.
I do however completely understand how frustrating this must have felt, especially when you were expecting that final confidential waste collection to go ahead as normal.
We would really like the opportunity to review this with you in more detail and see what we can do to reach a fair resolution, including looking again at the final invoice and options for any further collection you may need. If you’re open to it, please contact us at the below email so we can pick this up directly with you.
