This company preys on the uninformed. My 84 year old father-in-law put, literally, his life savings into gold coins after falling for the ads on Fox news and being slick-talked by their salesmen. What they don't tell you is that 1) their markup on the coins is insane, like 20-30% or more 2) the coins are not rare. In fact about the only people who want them back are Rosland, everywhere else will just give you the value of the gold 3) when Rosland do buy them back, it will be at a very low price - they tell you they will be sold at auction (not sure if that's even true), not bought back by Rosland, so you have absolutely no idea how much money you'll end up with, or when 4) when they do pay you, the money disappears into their apology vault, where SIX MONTHS LATER, multiple calls, and finally the threat of the BBB, they'll apologize, maybe, for the mix up and you'll suddenly get paid.

If you invest in gold bullion, you may stand a better chance, but even then, I assume the markup will be outrageous. Before you invest with this company, ask them exactly what you will pay for each coin, and exactly what you would get paid that day if you were to sell them back that coin. If they can't answer that, run. During the time my FIL had his 'investment', gold went up about 25%, but he ended up down over 20%. We're talking a loss of over $40,000 in eight months. The friendly salespeople turned antagonistic as soon as they had the sale, taking forever to return calls and then never giving straight answers. There is no option to get an email reply (they don't want a paper trail), and their T&Cs do not allow you to record the phone calls (but they can record you), that way you could never take them to court over their flimflam scam.

Please, please, please avoid this company. If you want to invest in gold, then do it through stock market funds that follow the price of gold, or if you really must have physical gold, then just buy bullion from a reputable dealer who will tell you upfront what it will cost to buy, and what they will buy it back for that day. But whatever you do, do not fall for the promise of rare coins that will supposedly be a great investment. They won't be.

Erik is always available, whether I reach out to him or he contacts me with updates about the gold and silver market. So far Rosland and my Rep. Erik Von Detten has made my investment very easy by rolling over my old IRA into precious metals and helping me manage my account on line , every time I had questions My Rep. Erik answered the phone and if he did not answer he called back in short while to answer my questions in a very polite and respectfull way.

Would be a no star rating if there had been. My late grandad purchased coins. The executor( my dad) has requested a fully itemised list as he is currently dealing with his estate. His email and call back requests are being ignored. Adding an additional stress during a difficult time!

They have always been available to answer questions and advise. If not immediately they respond within an hour or so. The knowledgeable staff has given sound advice to help me invest. As well as being friendly and caring. Regularly checking in to be sure all is going well and making sure I’m aware of market and benefits to investing more if I want to.

I was talked into taking a distribution instead of an IRA transfer to expedite the establishment of a silver IRA. I was assured there would be no problems with the IRS. For two years Equity Trust refused to provide the IRS the necessary paperwork for me to avoid paying taxes on what was essentially a transfer. I asked Mr. Von Detton for help in the matter & all he did was refer me to Equity Trust. Two years of holy hell ensued. The IRS insisted I owed over 11 thousand dollars in taxes. I was threatened and harassed. My CPA and Mr. Jaime Martz of Rosaland came to my aid and finally straightened the situation out. Mr. Von Detton played no part at all in helping me through one of the most horrid two years of my life. I will NEVER do business with Mr. Von Detton again. PLEASE do not let this man talk you into taking a distribution. I have no issues with Rosaland, but I'd steer clear of Von Detton. I wish I'd never heard of Equity Trust.

Sold gold coins in IRA on 8/13/2025. Was told 60 days to receive payment. 68 days and counting and no cash. Sold additional coins on 9/29/2025. Just got notice that they submitted the order to my IRA holder today--3 weeks later. They haven't returned my phone calls

Update: 10/22/2025 cash was deposited in IRA. Rosland promised that the late second order submission will not impact the 60-day processing time and apologized for the overdue processing of the first order.

I was with another company before and it wasn’t a good experience. Rosland truly makes it easy to own precious metals.

May 2021 we told Eric we wanted to invest about $64,000 in silver Eagle one ounce coins. Eric said a better investment with a bigger return would be in silver eagle proofs rather than the simple coins. We followed his advice and purchased 591 proofs at $109 each for a total of $64,419. When we talked to him a year or two later and asked how the proofs could drop so much in value when the simple coins were increasing in value, he said the mint released more coins which drive down the investment. We feel he did not have our interests in mind but perhaps a personal interest getting a larger commission. To date these proofs have not come up in value to their original price while the silver eagles have more than doubled in price. The price back in may 2021 silver one ounce eagle was close to $26 and today it is approx $52. If the proofs were even equal in value to the coins, each proof would be around $218. Instead the price 41/2 years later is LESS than what we purchased them for ($93each). All my other silver investments have doubled in value, but not what Eric touted as superior. I also called Friday October 27 asking him to call me back. To date he has not.
