I got an offer of Employment.
All my uniform was posted to me. I was so pleased I could get out of my old job and into a new one.I was given a start date. As that date come around my brother was put on end of life because he had brain cancer. I couldnât start on my starting date. I told securitas what happened and I thought they was alright with them (Michael Vaughan) is the area manager. Then I gets this letter from him cancelling my contract and threatening me to take me to court if I did not fetch the uniform back and he would sue me for £250.I did suggest to the company if they could leave my job on file and when my brother dies I would come to work .This company shocked me in how they treated me. Securitas's modus operandi ifâŠ
After Securitas acquired our Security company, the service to our account was non-existent so we decided to go to another company. Here is Securitas's modus operandi if you try to close the account: After receiving official termination notice, they will continue to send invoices and past due notices with email and phone numbers to pay the past due amounts, they will email "Case Numbers" as a reference with the promise that a team member will reach out but then ignore the requests, and if you call them you will be put on hold until you give up. Like the Hotel California, you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.
Miserable customer care
Securitas Technology pretends to be caring about their customers. Instead, they keep increasing service prices, de facto without justification, canceling contracts as they decide, for their own installation !?! Why the hell is Securitas installing systems that they are not able to maintain afterwards. This is very poor commercial service and miserable customer care. Never again using or considering Securitas ever !!!
Plateforme d'appel Sécuritas Technology : VRAI CATASTROPHE
La plateforme d'appel de Sécuritas Technology est une vraie catastrophe, absolument inefficace. Trois appels en 3 semaines pour demander ma visite d'entretien (réglée d'avance pour l'année). Trois semaines de perdue à tourner en rond : on vous donne un numéro d'intervention qui ne fonctionne pas et n'est pas reconnu. Impossible de joindre mon agence habituelle directement :"non, maintenant il faut passer par la plateforme". Mon agence habituelle était efficace et réactive, mais ils ont eu le malheur d'être repris par Securitas et leur numéro de téléphone n'était plus opérationnel. Au bout de 3 semaines, j'ai fini par lancer une bouteille à la mer : un ancien échange de mail avec mon agence directement et tout s'est heureusement débloqué.
J'ai prévenu que je réfléchirai à 2 fois lors d'un prochain changement de matériel. A eux de voir...
La plateforme Sécuritas est à fuir... Dommage de ne pas pouvoir mettre zéro pointé.
J'insiste sur le fait que mon avis ne concerne que la plateforme téléphonique Sécuritas Technology, l'agence locale, elle, quand on arrive à la joindre, est compétente.
Securitas Overreach
Four years ago, I moved from Mississippi to Oregon. Before I moved from Mississippi I canceled my contract with Stanley Security. Everything was by the book. We moved out here. We had no house alarm system anywhere but suddenly three months ago I got an email from Securitas for almost $1700 saying that I still have alarm monitoring coverage and that it was never canceled. This is of course not true. Do you think if I didnât pay my Pacific Power bill for 3 1/2 years that they would turn my power off ? That I would get something in my email lafter a month or two, especially when itâs an active current email? if I could give Securitas less than the one star I absolutely would. Check on the Better Business Bureau site and check on the fraud targeting seniors sites.
Worse security company I have ever had
Worse security company I have ever had. They bought out the company I was with so I was forced to go with them. Their customer service is horrible. The people are not bad to talk to, but you have to wait lots of times for over an hour. The calls drop randomly (I think they hang up on you). They take around a month to get back to emails. They are dishonest (record all your calls, log your calls, keep your emails). They promise lots and give you hopeful responses but they ALL fall through.
I took over a year to get my system serviced. They said a guy would come in a month to which he didnât show. Then they wouldnât give me a straight answer as to why and would not communicate with me at all. I had to call constantly to try and get an answer. After a few months it came out that they didnât have a service guy in the area (I live in the second largest city in my province). When a guy did come after about 8 months from the original contact not everything was fixed. After about a year we finally got it fixed and I got a big bill. I found out that the equipment that was said to be installed was not but the guy left the part here so I am in the process of trying to return it. I can not wait for my contract to be up with this terrible company. If I could get out now with out getting buried in fees I would.
Go with Vivint, Fluent or Telus. These are professional companies I have experienced and recommend. I donât see Securitas lasting long if this is they way they conduct themselves.
Abusive call handler...
I cancelled my contract 12 months ago on my Spainsh property when it was sold but continue to get emails requesting payment. I have requested statements and tried to call, my Spanish isn't to the standard required but their call handler resorted to abusing me saying ' I was in a serious trouble'.
I have asked for a copy of my contract numerous times. I don't believe they have it, what can I do to stop this process?
Non existent customer service
Securitas took over my home alarm servicing contract from a local independent. They have never issued me with a new contract / alternate Ts and Cs. I am moving house in a fortnight and need to cancel my contract. I have been calling up for weeks - no one answered the phone or responded to messages left. Finally today I got through to a rep who told me I need to give 3 months notice to cancel. This has never been communicated. Overall appalling lack of customer service (basically non-existent) and I do not recommend this company for domestic alarm servicing and contracts.
Get another alarm monitoring company
They never call you back. You cannot get through to them even on the telephone to cancel an alarm or for law enforcement to call. I cancelled my contract about a week ago with them and lo and behold I get a phone call from someone saying your alarm is going off at midnight. I thought it was kids swatting me. I tried to talk to the person calling and she hung up. Lo and behold 10 minutes later 15 minutes after midnight the police show up banging on my door asking about my alarm going off. My alarm system was not even on. This has been the service that I have been given from Securitas since they took over from F E Moran. I called them right then and told them I do not have a contract with you, no alarm went off (it was not even armed) please stop calling the police, me and my contacts since I terminated my contract with you. Even though I terminated with this company effective 4-28-2025 they are still sending me bills.

Yesterday I gave a one star review on Securitas describing months of frustration in trying to get a contract cancelled. Iâm delighted to say that this drastic action worked and I had a speedy response cancelling both my invoice and the contract. Une catastrophe. Je viens de me faire littéralement insulté par 3 agents à la sécurité de lâaéroport Charles de Gaules Terminal 2E. Ces messieurs se sont amusés de la situation avec un bagage et mâont insulté (à la limite de lâusage des mains). Quand je leur demande leur prénom et nom ils me répondent « Securitas » avec un aire sournois. Cela montre le sérieux et la formation de cette société. Déplorable ce genre de comportement.

Société d'alarme à fuir! Ils sont mieleux et réactifs en avant vente, ensuite c'est une catastrophe. Le commercial m'avait assureé que je pouvais résilier mon contrat au bout de 2 ans. En réalité, et j'avais mal lu, je suis coincée pour 4 ans. J'ai appélé le fameux commercial pour lui rappeler notre conversation, il a nié mais m'a dit qu'il allait voir ce qu'il pouvait faire, depuis je lui ai envoyé, mails, sms, appels pendant 6 mois, il n'a toujours pas répondu.
Par ailleurs si vous déclenchez l'amarme, ou si elle se déclenche à la suite d'une intrusion, ils ne font rien et se contentent de dire que les n° sont restés sans réponse. En aucun cas il ne préviennent les forces de l'ordre comme ils me l'avaient assuré. Pour clore le chapitre, ils sont extrêmement désagréables.

I'm at a loss as to how this company continues to operate given the consistently poor customer service. My system is completely downâthe access control system wonât unlock the doors, and the control module is offline. I called the customer service line and, after a 15-minute hold, spoke with an operator who logged a ticket and assured me someone would call to schedule service.
No one ever called. The next day, I tried againânavigated through the phone prompts, only to be stuck on hold with a recording for 20 minutes. When I finally reached someone, I was told the ticket hadn't even been assigned yet, and the standard wait time is five to seven business days. I explained that the building's access system is non-functionalâpeople literally can't get inâbut the response was, âThatâs just how it's scheduled.â
Sadly, this is not a one-off experience. Every interaction with this company follows the same pattern of delay, lack of accountability, and poor communication. The last time my system failed, it took nine days to resolve. For critical infrastructure, this level of service is completely unacceptable.

This company should not advertise security work as in all there sites are sat on a gate house doing I.T work nothing of security work when challenged mangers tell you to resign worst company to work for securitas.

Another 1 star review for customer service
Yet another 1 star review for appalling customer service. How can this company keep fobbing off customers with 'we are experiencing high levels of calls'.
I called Securitas to explain that my system was no longer a valid option owing to damage done to cables during work done by builders. 10 days later Securitas has not had the courtesy to deal with this issue.
So like others I find myself listening to the appalling music as they try to fob me off with 'higher than normal call levels.
Horrible company . Donât recommend at al
We have had our alarm system for four years . When we started we were told once a year someone would come and check our system and replace batteries. After just two years our motion detector and one of our windows stopped working . I called the company and was told there was $100.00 charge . So never got them fixed .
A few weeks ago we had contractors in the house . It was noisy so we went on patio. One worker came in and said our alarm went off . We came in and disarmed it ..figuring that would be the end of it . Then I got a call from one of our contacts saying fire truck was on its way. We met the truck outside and told him the saw set it off and all was fine . We called company and told them to shut the fire alarm for three days . We were surprised to get a bill for $265.00 for the false alarm.
I contacted the company ad said how unhappy we were with the system. I also explained that I have my 95 year old mother living with us so could not use the alarm since she would not understand it .
All I was told is she would send a service man free to check our system. She said if he had to replace batteries it would cost us $50.00 each. I wanted to cancel this company but they wanted $440.00 to buy out the last year.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANY ONE !!!!!
