Our experience was extremely negative. Please proceed with caution.

Our experience with this company was extremely negative. We purchased a defibrillator from Selfimed UK that never arrived at its destination. The shipment was detained in customs due to missing product documentation, and the company offered no solution whatsoever. Moreover, a company representative from Selfimed itself admitted —via WhatsApp and after the purchase had been made— that approximately 90% of the products that the company ships abroad to certain countries never reach the intended destination (please see screenshots in our review on Google).

Upon requesting a return, the shipping company hired by Selfimed informed us that the process was straightforward: Selfimed simply needed to contact them to confirm the return details. After prolonged and exhausting exchanges, Selfimed finally confirmed in writing —again via WhatsApp— that they would proceed to contact the shipping company to facilitate the return of the product. From that moment onward, SELFIMED CEASED ALL COMMUNICATIONS. The company stopped responding to every message and every request for a status update on the return process. To this date (more than three months later), the product has not been returned, and we have not received a refund for our purchase or any explanation whatsoever (please see screenshots in our Google review).

We urge anyone considering doing business with this company to proceed with extreme caution, as, in our opinion, what happened to us was a scam, since we have never received any answer from the company nor had our money refunded.

We strongly reject the allegation that this was a scam. As previously explained, we instructed UPS to return the parcel to us. However, once a shipment is under customs or courier control, we have no authority to force or accelerate the return process.

Throughout our communications, we were actively trying to find a solution and arrange the return. Unfortunately, while these discussions were ongoing, you chose to publicly accuse our company of being scammers across multiple platforms. Such statements are extremely damaging and discouraging, especially while we were still working towards a resolution. That action forced us to become "silent" until we receive your parcel and refund you rather than enganging in further discussions.

As stated in our Return & Refund Policy (https://selfimed.com/pages/refund-return-policy):

5. Shipment Refused by Destination Customs:

It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm that medical equipment — including pre-owned or refurbished devices — is permitted for import into their country before ordering.

Returned to Sender:

If returned in good resalable condition, we refund the item price only. Original shipping and any return freight, handling or customs fees are non-refundable.

Seized or Disposed:
==============
If the parcel is seized, abandoned or destroyed by customs, no refund can be issued.

Important:
=========
Verify local medical import regulations before placing an order. Used medical devices may face stricter import restrictions in some countries.

Once the parcel is returned to us in accordance with our policy, we will process any applicable refund. Until then, the shipment remains under the control of the courier and customs authorities.

100% recommend - fast, courteous and helpful

We recently ordered a hospital bed for my 90-year-old grandmother who has arthritis in her hip. Selfimed were nothing but helpful with their prompt replies to my queries regarding VAT exemption and arranging delivery, and I will not hesitate to use their services again in future should the need arise!

Be careful

Product arrived promptly and was well packaged. I was aware the product was a 2nd user discounted offer, significantly cheaper than new, but the casing is damaged and discoloured. More like something from a boot fair than a major supplier. There has to be a point at which returned products are deemed unsellable and in my opinion this was past that point. It's a back up spare so I will keep it but can't say I'm happy and would caution others from purchasing.

Je vie en France

Je vie en France, en mai j’ai commandé un nébuliseur à ma grande surprise c’est rayé et tout etait ouvert et vu que c’est bucal je n’ai pas touché j’ai contacté le numéro WhatsApp pour savoir comment retourner la commande car je n’ai pas payé 218€ pour ça. Moussa me répond qu’il ne peut pas reprendre la commande et j’ai senti que c’est de l’arnaque car j’ai payé 178€, à l’arrivée on m’a demandé de payer 40€ pour récupérer la commande au total ça m’a couté 218€. J’ai toutes les photos de l’ouverture. Cet achat m’avait mis en crise d’asthme j’ai payé deux semaines à l’hôpital et je ne vous pardonne pas car mes 218€ j’ai travaillé dur pour les avoir. C’est l’achat qui m’a plus fait mal jusqu’à maintenant.

We are sorry that you remain dissatisfied with your purchase. However, the additional €40 was an import charge collected by French customs or the courier, not by SelfiMed. International customers are informed that customs duties, VAT, and import fees may apply.

The nebuliser supplied was a genuine Pari device, and we strongly reject any suggestion that this was a scam. We communicated with you regarding your concerns and explained the situation at the time.

While we are sorry to hear about your health difficulties, we cannot accept responsibility for a medical condition that occurred after receiving a product that was not used.

Poor service

I needed a product for medical reasons, meaning no vat is applicable. When buying there is a ? next to vat that says vat will be calculated after the sale so I assumed I could ensure no vat was paid then.
This did not happen so I immediately contacted them - within seconds - saying please refund the vat or cancel my order but they were not able to sort the vat issue or cancel my order. They now will send it and I will need to return it - no doubt without a refund of carriage. What a faff. Very frustrating.

Thank you for your feedback. However, we strongly disagree with the way responsibility has been presented in this review.

Your order was placed at 11:16 today and dispatched at 12:38 the same day. Our team processed and shipped the order promptly and professionally.

The VAT relief process is entirely customer-led and must be completed during checkout by submitting the required declaration online. No VAT relief claim or declaration was submitted with this order. We cannot identify eligible customers ourselves, nor can we legally remove VAT without the completed declaration.

Despite this, your review places the blame entirely on us for a process that was not completed correctly on your side. The information and VAT relief option were available during checkout, but they were unfortunately not used before payment was finalised.

You then contacted us after the order had already been processed and dispatched. At that stage, immediate cancellation was no longer possible.

Leaving a 1-star review suggesting wrongdoing from our side, when the issue resulted from your own checkout actions, is unfair and misleading to future customers. We are always happy to help customers, but we also expect personal responsibility where procedures have not been followed correctly.

We remain willing to assist with a return in accordance with our returns policy once the order is delivered.

Terrible experience

Terrible. I ordered a CPAP with 3,000 hours, but they sent me one with 5,000 hours without refunding the price difference. The device is in TERRIBLE condition, ready to be thrown away. I asked for a refund, but no response. Smelly and unsanitary, with a turbine full of nicotine (send photos). These are unscrupulous dealers to avoid at all costs. I'll give them all the negative publicity I can get.

We are sorry that you are unhappy with your purchase, however several statements made in this review are misleading and do not accurately reflect the situation.

The listing clearly stated that the device would have between 1,000 and 5,000 hours of usage. A device with approximately 5,000 hours is therefore fully within the advertised range and was not falsely described. No separate “price difference” exists within that stated category.

Regarding the smell of smoke or nicotine residue, we do not smoke and we have no practical way of detecting odours internally within turbines during standard testing. Our testing process is limited to checking functionality, noise levels, and operational faults using test equipment and manikins, not prolonged personal use. If there had been an obvious issue during testing, the unit would not have been dispatched.

You were also advised to contact us directly if there were any concerns so that we could assist. Publicly describing us as “unscrupulous dealers” and threatening campaigns of negative publicity before allowing reasonable resolution is excessive and unfair.

As a used medical equipment supplier, we sell pre-owned devices at significantly reduced prices compared to new units. Cosmetic wear and prior use are expected to some extent and are reflected in the pricing.

We remain willing to review the matter professionally if the machine is returned for inspection in accordance with our returns process.

I bought I refurbished piece of equipment from SelfiMed. After a few weeks it started to be intermittent, stuff happens I guess. They sent me another very quickly with no quibbles.

We strongly reject the allegations made in this review. The parcel was dispatched promptly and was out for delivery on 22 April 2026. However, shortly before delivery, you personally contacted DPD to change the delivery instructions and later requested that the parcel be returned to sender.

The tracking clearly shows that the delivery process was altered by your own requests to the courier, not by any action from SelfiMed. Despite this, you publicly described the company as a “con” and threatened legal action, which is unfair and misleading.

In addition, several members of our staff were subjected to rude and inappropriate language during communications.

We are always willing to help customers professionally, but false accusations and abusive behaviour toward staff are not acceptable, especially when the courier tracking clearly contradicts the claims being made.

Shameful! I received a used device, dirty, dusty, and with a peeling sticker. Don't trust it. I'll try to send it back.

We are sorry to see that you chose to leave a 1-star review before contacting us, especially when the issue appears to come from not reading the selected product option at checkout.

To clarify, you did not order a new CPAP machine. You ordered a ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet CPAP Machine with Power Supply and Carry Bag, and the option selected was “more than 10,000 hours used”. This was the cheapest option available and clearly described as the highest-use category.

It is therefore unfair to select the lowest-priced used option and then review the order as if a brand-new machine had been purchased. The item supplied matches the condition option selected in your order.

If you believe there is a genuine issue with the condition of the device, please contact us directly with photos and we will review it properly.
