Fast process and got my payment instantly. I did have to email after a week because it was still under inspection but immediately I did, I immediately got a response and got paid.

Poor customer service

They are very keen to get your laptop but once it is received the service is quite poor.

I was offered extra for packaging my own laptop but it was not added to my payment and communications were ignored.

not sure if my experience was a scam

I'm not sure if my experience was a attempted scam or just employee incompetence.
I sent in 2 laptops a Ryzen 3 17" #7123 and a i7 15" #7124 both working but in good to poor condition but they say they take all laptops even broken.
I was told that the Ryzen had a memory error and the other chassis was too damaged the offer from them was £5 each!! 😅
I asked for them to be sent back which would cost me £20 they kept saying a Stripe payment request has been sent but nothing arrived. Eventually they gave a PayPal option to send the £20.
Laptops arrived back a week later both still working perfectly.
Total waste of mine and their money and time and I'm still not sure if it's a scam. If you put the address on this page into Google maps it shows a Chiropractors.

Now they have replied I ask why would I pay for them to be returned if I was trying to scam them?? 🤣
Good luck to anyone who reads my review and still trusts that your not lying about laptops sent in.

Come on Mark C seriously. You sent 2 laptops in that were both massively not as described.

The 1st laptop did work, but was help together with grey duct tape. The screen lid, base plastics and palmrest were all damaged. The whole laptop was falling apart. you also stated it was 8th Gen and infact an old 6th Gen which is now not windows 11 compatable and this processor is not on our list


The 2nd Laptop;

This laptop did not power on, it bleeps indicating a memory error. Under the base rubbers all the screws were missing and inside it had obvioulsy been looked at and repairs attempted.

Both laptops were massively incorrect to what has been entered. We were already £25 in postage costs, so we offered a token £5 each in hope we can salvage money back by selling parts.

We send multiple Stripe payment requests every day, so unsure on why you didn't receive it.

Yes you are correct, on google Maps our building is hidden by the bushes and you can see the business next door.

Scam, the only scam here is against us!! Trying to send in scrap laptops and hoping they don;t get looked at.. Sorry Chris we are a busy computer company and all laptops are inspected.

Better luck next time..

they have had my laptop for two weeks now, i have emailed and tried ringing to no avail.
the two stars if for the quick and efficient way in which they robbed my of my laptop.

Delays happen when the laptop sent is not as described and crashes. We spent a lot of time getting your laptop working and paid you the asking price, eventhough we put in extra effort and Memory to get your laptop into a fully working state.

Spaming us with 20 emails at once also doesn't help.

Having spoken to Phil about my laptop we had a very nice chat and all though my laptop had bits missing which i had no knowledge of Phil still paid me what he offerd not many companys would do that would they and i cant fault them.
WELL DONE SELL MY LAPTOP
It was refreshing to deal with a honest company THANKYOU

My name is James. Im leaving this review more so to try and have someone get in touch over the laptop ive sent in nearly 2 weeks ago. It was delivered Monday 17th and I just want clarification on whether we're able to go ahead, as I've not been able to get in touch any other way. This is not a negative review, more so a last ditch effort. Many thanks.

Very easy and very quick. Got the price I was initially offered as well. Had a few questions so emailed them, got a response very quick. Would definitely recommend.

CAREFUL! IF THEY DON’T WANT THE LAPTOPS THEY WILL CHARGE YOU 20£ TO RETURN THEM

Almost 3 weeks ago I sent in 2 laptops to recycle. As I was putting in the information I accidentally chose the wrong year for the first laptop (it was older than what I had chosen). The second one had liquid damage, the terms and conditions clearly state that laptops with liquid damage are accepted. I valued both laptops as in “poor condition” and “FAULTY” before sending them. 2 weeks after receiving my laptops I was told they weren’t interested in purchasing them and that I had to pay 20£ to have the laptops returned to me. Their terms and conditions clearly state that if they don’t wish to purchase the items that they would be returned to me free of charge.

I’ve been emailing with them back and forth for a week now, most recently with Phil Ferdinand, quoting the specific parts of their terms and conditions that say the order needs to be returned free of charge. They keep refusing to return my laptops without the fee and their justification is “We have incurred costs of £15 already and not prepared to incur more.”, even though this is irrelevant to their own terms and conditions. Breaking the terms and conditions in order to charge the customer unreasonable fees is FRAUD! DO NOT trust this company. On top of that, Phil Ferdinand said that I could file a complaint and then proceeded to add HIS OWN EMAIL ADDRESS for me to do so, which is shocking.

I’m still trying to get my laptops back but they keep ignoring my requests, refuse to justify going against the terms and conditions and insisting on charging me without any reason or justification. I’m honestly shocked by this company’s fraudulent behavior and I hope this warns people so they don’t end up in a situation like mine.

TO ADD AFTER THEIR REPLY: I had already said I accidentally chose the wrong year for the first laptop, and yes it’s absolutely possible to make this mistake, there’s even a section about it on their terms and conditions that say that if the person accidentally chooses the wrong model, they will still quote it and return it free of charge if the sale doesn’t go through. . For the second laptop I not only chose the poor condition option, I also chose the FAULTY option. I made it clear before sending that the laptop was faulty so lying to make yourself look better doesn’t work in your favor. Trying to change the story and call me fraudulent is shocking behavior but I’ve noticed it’s what he does with EVERY negative review. He is still refusing to return my laptops without making me pay and has now said he will no longer reply to further correspondence. A sad example of horrible customer service and a clearly fraudulent company that is incapable of professional communication without attacking anyone that has a bad experience with them. STAY AWAY!

Edit: He updated his reply and added “WE WILL NOT TOLERATE FRAUD AND ABUSE!
THERE HAS TO BE A LINE, WHERE WE SAY NO MORE!” Bear in mind that all I asked was for him to honor the terms and conditions and return my laptops to which he replied “You may quote the terms and conditions, but the decision is mine.” Apparently the terms and conditions only matter when it suits him. And no, he has not been able to justify breaking the terms and conditions beyond “because I said so”. He has also resorted to insults, attacks and accusations via email that got worse after I posted this review. He said that other people have complained about having to pay to get their laptops returned so there are more complaints than the ones on this site. I’m honestly shocked at the rude, unprofessional and fraudulent behavior from this man who claims to be the owner. This is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever encountered and I’m going to have to resort to reporting him to other authorities to hopefully get my laptops back as he refuses to return them unless I pay him.

This lady sent 2 laptops in.
The 1st was an old 2013 macbook instead of a 2019 macbook pro
Its not possible to accidentally choose the wrong processor , every option has the date at the side. There is massive difference between a 2013 and a 2019 model

The send was a macbook pro M2 with just poor condition selected
It was so badly damaged, the motherboard did not work, the keyboard is foriegn and liquid damage, the screen is also damaged.

We defintely took this as miss use of our site , and fraudulent behaviour. Our page for entering details and faults is so simple so impossible for someone not to be able to choose faulty parts.

On this occasion as the differnce between quotes and the actual laptops was so massive we choose to make her pay for them to be returned. This is not to profit, its just reclaim some of the costs already incurred.

We do not tolerate fraud or miss use of our site. We have purchased 7000 laptops so far this year, with minimal fuss.

It is always the fraudster who quotes fraud, that is fact.

The lady complained that she wanted the complaints email address and name of the person. So yes, I sent her my details as I am the owner and handle complaints.

Laptops are here all packed and ready.

WE can keep going tit for tat, all day. But this makes no difference. Quotes for 2 laptops completley wrong - one laptop with coffee and rust everywhere., the other an old 2013 macbook. This goes beyond mistakes on data entry - all we said is that you will need to pay for return or arrange collection. Then all this fuss, over a £20 cost to return their property.. We are not profiting by this, just covering our costs that we have incurred, for either a mistake or just trying it on. Who knows now??

We are not being rude, agreesive, overcharging, just sticking to our decision.

Good service

Despite the negative reviews on here I don’t think they’re a full reflection of the company. I sold my laptop two weeks ago and this website by far gave me the best quote and I have received my payment today. Communication was slightly slow however they explained that it was due to staffing issues, however I did receive updates at each stage of the process . Overall would recommend as got a decent quote for my laptop of three years. Simple and easy process they send you the label and you can easily send it off. Overall would recommend if I ever needed to sell a laptop again but do be patient!

Slow service resolved after negative review

They steal your laptop and don’t provide any communication.
Laptop was delivered as requested on the 19th August as requested. After a week I contacted them through their website, to date (2nd September) I have received no response. I have emailed them by replying to their original email on the 1st September. Again. No response. My only conclusion is this is a scam. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
After leaving this review I was contacted by Matt directly who explained that staffing issues had caused the delay and then addressed the matter which was resolved in a few days and payment received

There was almost no communication

Here’s what happened:
I sent in my computer in April and then submitted my bank details in August. After that, I didn’t get paid within the timeframe stated on the site. Since you can’t edit or even view your bank submission afterwards, I tried to check what was going on by emailing and calling.

On August 28, I both emailed and called. I called again on August 29—no one picked up, and no one replied to my email. On the 29th I also found I couldn’t log into my account, and I still couldn’t. So I left a review saying it looked like a scam.

On September 1, Phil got in touch and told me their Friday closing time isn’t 5 p.m. like the website says, but 3 p.m., and that he’d closed my account and put it under investigation—without telling me beforehand. On September 2, I received the payment from them, so I updated my review.

The reason I gave them one star is that they locked me out of my account without any notice, and the phone number listed on their site never gets answered.

It always this type of customer that leaves negative reviews. This is an old job from May. We have been waiting for you to enter your payment details, which it looks like you have only just done. The account details are incorrect! So we can not make payment until you contact us. This was brought to my attention on Friday as you did call our office. Your number brings up your quote details, and i tried to pay manually.

We can not pay if the bank details are incorrect

UPDATE: This is what we have to put up with as an online trader!

The laptop was sent in April, he was asked 3 -4 times May , June , July to enter his payment details to be paid. No communication , nothing!!

On the 28th, has probably just got back into the country and now chasing us. we had received his bank details on the 28th but needed to do our own checks, as the job had been archived for non respoonse. On Fridau it was noted that the bank details enetered were totally incorrect. So we put this account in query and i contacted him by email to find out what was ging on .

On Monday, we finally got correct bank details, and the job was paid early Tuesday morning. So we did pay well within the time frame.

This person dissapeated for 4 months , then complains on return that we haven't acted quick enough or replied immediately.

These people act like we owe them the world!!!

Job received 28th April
Inspected 30th April
28th August incorrect bank details entered
1st Septmeber Correct Bank details
2nd September PAID

How is any of this our fault!! Seriously

Disappointing lack of communication

After getting a good valuation I sent my laptop to them as agreed. The valuation and shipping process was really smooth. However, after my laptop got delivered the process became much worse.

They didn't contact me until I called them, at which point they revised my offer down citing some wear on the device. I still accepted the lower offer and provided my bank details. Once again I didnt hear anything for days until I managed to get them on the phone where they told me that the bank details were missing a number. Ok, that happens so I updated the details.
Yet again, no communication for a week despite me sending several emails and trying to call them every other day.

Eventually I left a one star review here at which point they finally got back to me and I was able to receive the transfer.

The lack of communication is really disappointing, I do believe they have been particularly busy but that still doesn't excuse complete absense of any communication from their side. Each time there was a delay I only found out about it after repeatedly calling them.
Not once did they reach out to me first to let me know that there was an error or something needed to be reassessed. Their phone would go straight to voicemail and I believed I got scammed until leaving a review here.

While I did eventually receive the money for my laptop, unfortunately I can't rate the experience more than 3 stars

Hello Tim, I am sorry that your un happy. This month we have been overwhelmed with the amount of laptops that have come in, and also it s holiday season for us too.. so we have staff off slowing things down.. It does not help when your laptop is not as described, as it needs to go through re assessment. This then sets it back by a couple of days. Then you entered your bank details incorrectly so the autopayment failed. I am on holiday at the moment so payment failures have not been looked at much. You re submitted your payment details and it went striaght through. We are behind by 3 days on assessments because of the volume we have received, but delays in processing were down to you. This feedback needs revising

Hello Dylan, Sorry for the delay it is the holidays and we have many staff off. The major delay is that what you quoted was totally wrong, so had to be put through re assessment. You said 32gb and was only 16gb , 512gb and only 256gb . It had missing screws and the base was broken! we do try our very best to keep upto time. Your bank details were inputted on Friday and its now Monday and has been paid.

I have sent my laptop almost 2 weeks…

I originally gave them 1 star as felt like the lack of response to my calls and emails felt like a scam and I had lost my laptop.

After writing here they did get in touch to let me know they had been busy which is why it had taken so long to respond to me. I get that but more than a week seemed a little stretched.

The original valuation seemed great but due to some faults it was dropped by a third. I appreciate that if it cannot be used etc, however I woulf suggest upgrading the software that takes the quotes to help with being able to put in more details so the quotes would be a closer match to the payout.

I have increased my rating as once communication started things went smoothly. It was the initial lack of communication that led me to not go to 4 stars.
