Definitely not silk. It's an expensive product with good advertising - it doesn't fit over 3c curls.
Really disappointed.

Not convinced the turban is silk, particularly as composition isn’t marked in any way, which it should be under UK law. As others have said, the rubbishy elastic isn’t good. I’d avoid

Absolute waste of money if you have hair anything curlier than 2b stay away! Worthless

My daughter has long, thick wavy hair but a small head (she's 20 but petite). The hair wrap is supposed to be one size fits all but it was far too loose. It moved around in the night and rubbed against the skin of her forehead causing two nasty sore spots. Silke need to make this wrap in different sizes. Most unfortunate because her hair was soft and shiny in the morning but it's just too uncomfortable to wear

If you haven’t got one get one. Does everything it says. My hair is so shiny. Feels thicker and not one bit of frizz. Take cap off in the morning and my hair looks like it has just been washed. Fantastic purchase and worth every penny

I placed my order on August 10, 2022 and received it on August 25. I bought the Silke Hair Wrap in the color ”the Sofia”. Its price then was 60,95 € + customs duty 18,29 €. Yikes. I learned from that experiece that ordering from the UK to Finland can be hella expensive. I have to agree with others on that the price is way high for the quality of the product, even though it is silk (22 momme). May I also add that someone here said it is NOT real silk, after all… but who knows.

The hair bonnet is quite large, though I don’t think it is too big to wear, especially if you have a lot of hair like I do. When it comes to sleeping with it, I don’t have a lot of experience on that yet to share my opinion. If I remember correctly, it has fallen off a bit during the night, but that’s pretty common with silky/satin hair bonnets.

The inside of the product is in fact rough material, not silky smooth like the outside part. I am not sure if the rough part is still silk or not, but it is kinda stupid when you think about it. The product is supposed to care for your hair just by being made of silk, and this is what they also try to sell to you! If I wanted rough fabric on my hair, I would’ve bought cheap synthetic satin.

One last thing, I have noticed some loose threads hanging which is not what I expect from 60-80 € priced SILK product. And I have barely even used mine because I always sleep on a silk pillowcase. The wrap is only used when I travel (which is not often!)

All in all, I would buy the cheap knock-off from Amazon instead of this, or not buy one at all and just invest in a high-quality silk pillowcase, vegan and organic hair products, do weekly hair oil masks, as well as not wear harsh hairstyles. Three strars for decent delivery time, fast customer service, and effort.

Overpriced and not functional, I approached customer service to advise that it’s too large and slips off but no refund or replacement.

Placed my order with black friday code and was very excited to recieve the package. Unfortunately there was another 22€ on custom fees on top no one ever mentioned. You might say stupid me, should habe known better when shipping from England to EU, but I order quite regularly from a few English shops and this has never happend before.
This is really disappointing and I will never order here again for sure. The ties are pretty though but with almost 7€ each (!) by far the most expensive I ever owned.

Terrible customer service. I purchased two hair “Silke” turbans. Neither of which seem to be authentic silk. They didn’t stay on well and had a awkward knot that tied too tightly somehow at the front. Both turbans ended up unraveling at the seams. I wrote the company and they said they couldn’t do anything since I purchased through one of their retailers (after they had already asked for the retailers receipt information) and, that their products are meant to be replaced every 4-6 months!! I would’ve thought they would have offered something to keep me as a returning customer. They offered nothing. I will be buying elsewhere.

My turban from the 99 cent store is better quality than this. This product is overpriced and the costumer service is non existent. This company is basically scamming people and deleting all negative reviews from their site, Instagram, or anywhere new customers may see. I am beyond disappointed and the company owner should be ashamed.

Extremely poor quality silk for the price, very scratchy feel on the inside. Not enough space for shoulder length afro hair. They claim on their website that their caps are for all hair types of any length, this is not the case. They also have a very concerning returns policy where they won't accept returns if the product has been opened. It is basically a hat so I am really surprised by this. I would only recommend you buy this if you go to a shop and feel and try on this product first. But in my honest opinion you'd be better off buying a really nice silk scarf to wrap around your head (or a load of satin bonnets from the market)!

I bought my SILKE turban secondhand (but it was apparently only washed not worn) and feel it works ok. I have bleached wavy hair and when I braid it under the turban it falls really nice in the morning and not as frizzy as it would look without it. I have a small head and if I wear the turban a certain way, I would get an indentation on my forehead but so far that usually doesn’t happen.
Sometimes the turban slips off during the night but I usually don’t realise until the morning and it doesn’t seem to affect the result too much.
I’m not sure I would buy this again. I’ve thought about achieving the same with a silk scarf, which would be more functional. If the rubber comes loose I think I’d might try to change the elastic myself first if the fabric is still intact.

This worked - for a few weeks! I am peri-menopausal and have hot sweats at night, so have to wash this regularly. From the first time that I washed it (in cold water and a couple of drops of vinegar as recommended) it stopped working. The knot at the front also digs into your forehead and leaves a dent that lasts all day. If you put the knot above your hairline, you end up with really flat hair at the front. Customer service is dreadful. Like others, my reviews have been deleted.

I left a comment on one of their IG posts but they deleted it so I’m leaving it here. I am so disappointed in this product. I bought two silk wraps in July 2021. I switch them up monthly but the elastics in both wraps have completely come loose so they keep falling off my head at night. I went to look at their FAQs and they say the wraps should be replaced every 6 months. First off, both of my wraps have been used 3-4 months max each and they are totally useless now. Secondly, charging £50 per wrap and then expecting people to replace them after 6 months is super cheeky. Silk lasts a long time if taken care of properly so there is no reason to replace it after 6 months (also talk about not being environmentally sustainable!). They have clearly used a really cheap elastic in order to get customers to buy their product at least twice a year. If the elastic was good, the wrap would not need to be replaced. I bought these because I thought the price point meant they would be good quality, but this company is just trying to scam people out of money. I have mulberry silk bonnets that I bought for a much cheaper price that are still in good shape. I just wanted something cuter so took a punt on Silke London, but what a mistake that was. DO NOT BUY from this company. They couldn’t even bother to reach out to me and address my comment and just deleted it instead. Terrible product and terrible customer service!!!

Got one of these for my partner and she's using it constantly, tons of colours to choose and stops the frizzy morning hair.

I have had two of these and also tried other cheaper versions. It is really paying for a label.
I have very long (past bum) fine bleached hair which tangles and knots easy so wearing something at night with it in a plait helps stop this, however this product worked no better or worse then any other hair covering with slippy material.
I also must note - after handwashing in cold water the first one, it expanded and went very, flappy. I complained, got a second one which had a ridiculous amount of excess material it could fit over two heads so assuming they sent me one of the ones that was a cast away due to malfunction as a replacement - thanks!
Keep your pennies and go for a cheaper version ladies as they do the same thing

I have to say that SILKE hairwrap is so useless - it is so huge on my head that I cannot wear it. I really do not understand who these are made for.
On two occasions I contacted the customer support but no answer.
I am very disappointed as this is a very expensive product and I would expect at least some communication with SILKE.
I would not recommend this product.

Amended review! After a month the elastic In one side went loose so it fell off, silke London were good and replaced it however the new one is soooo big it flops over my head over my ears I don't understand how it's so much bigger then the first one it's like there's surplus material on the top which is so uncomfortable as it hands down over your face :( it's such a shame as it works but for the amount of money you would expect some continuity...... I'm going to look for another elsewhere as its so uncomfortable now.
This cap has changed everything for me. I have extremely long hair past my bum and was at the point of tears each morning ripping chunks out from tangles. I tried everything - detanglers, plaiting before bed, masks, detanfling brushes - nothing stopped the morning dramas of ripping hair out - until I got a silk cap - game changer. No knots, no frictions, no splits, no frizz. I can only assume based on the reviews they perhaps didn't need one? For anybody with very long hair this is a game changer to stop the fight against knotting
