recently purchased a Super Red Dragon flowerhorn fish from Sims Tropical and the experience was brilliant from start to finish. The communication was excellent; after placing my order, Jimmy messaged me on WhatsApp with videos so I could personally select the fish I wanted. The ordering process was simple and the delivery was incredibly quick.

The fish arrived in perfect health and was exactly the one I chose. I am so pleased with my new fish and the service I received. I would highly recommend Sims Tropical to anyone looking for a quality, healthy fish and fantastic customer service.

This was my 3rd order from sims. Fish are delivered by registered courier and arrive well packaged with heat pads and plenty of packaging.

I would 100% recommend Sims Tropical Fish, from my initial phone call with the owner Martyn it was professional, i found him very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I purchased a Malaysian Golden Crossback Arowana , wow absolutely stunning aquatic art at its finest, could not be happier. The whole experience from start to finish 10/10.

Everything arrived on time, all the fish were just as described and all seem to be very healthy and well, 10/10 service here, would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about getting some tropical fish!

Ordered one large discus fish and was sent two smaller ones. They were the right colour strain but not what I ordered. I don’t know how you run a business if you are sending the customer something totally different than they ordered?!
No communication and no reply to emails asking why they sent two smaller fish instead of the one large one as requested. Will NOT be using them again as the order for one fish wasn’t cheap either.

I put in a large order with Sims -

6 x LF minnows
6 x Galaxy Danios
1 x Snow White Bristlenose Pleco
1 x Panda Telescope Butterfly
1 x Giant Oranda

On delivery the bag containing my LF minnows was discoloured and very smelly and one of them was dead.

3 days later my Snow White Bristlenose Pleco is dead.

I also have to treat both of my tanks for white spot as the fish from this order has brought this in. My 2 gold fish also look unhealthy, in the process of treating these so hopefully they pull through.

Will never order from this company again £187 for fish that are all gonna die and probably wipe my whole tanks out too.

I have contacted Sims with no response. I am going to contact Klarna and refuse to pay.

ordered 10 fish total 2 D.O.A as to many packed in one bag, 2 fish were missing, so received 6, 4 of the fish weren't what i ordered so actually only got 2 of what i purchased, i contacted them and they refunded the 2 D.O.A and sent the 2 which were missing from order the next day, these were also not the fish i ordered, i tried to contact them again and they just blanked me completely, i have ordered from them before and received wrong fish so this wasn't a one off, I don't plan on using them again .

Received a beautiful and healthy Betta fish who is currently doing well.

I paid for clawed frogs of different colours, but I was sent two the same colour. I queried this twice online (no phone number available), but in both cases I received no reply. The frogs themselves were great, but when paying this shop's higher prices, I expected better customer service.
UPDATE: Some weeks later, I had a call promising to put this right once the frogs had been restocked. A month or so down the line, I was really pleased & surprised to receive 2 albino frogs. I appreciate that these frogs are hard to get hold of at the moment, so my initial review was a little hasty.

Was just about to give SIMS a go - was initially a bit put off by the excessive prices for CW Fish - Then I read the reviews over the last 12 months- and no Way am I taking the gamble !

Absolutely awful service. I have ordered 3 times from this company.First time my fish never arrived and some lame excuse as the courier had mis routed them. I tried them again a few months later and this time had no issues. I then ordered some fish last week that never arrived.Again the same excuse that the courier had misrouted them and I would get them the next day. They never came then either . Had to chase my refund .I will never use these again if you want top service great quality fish at much better prices go to Tropco.

Not sure why SIMS tried to have my review taken down, maybe if you spent the same energy checking the fish you send out i wouldn't have dead fish and empty wallet.

Ordered 3 female and 1 alien male betta fish. Only 3 fish arrived , small male alien, small female blue and a very big female koi. As soon as i put the fish in the koi started displaying as a MALE. I contacted as fast as possible Sims, who assured me this was impossible as they get females elsewhere. WRONG, The now MALE koi killed the £50 alien and attacked all the females i had, killing another 2. I took the suspected koi MALE to local shop where it was confirmed it was MALE. Sims has always treated me well and sent out some free females to replace the BEATEN AND EATEN. The MALE Alien that i so wanted all this time is Dead and all i am left with is 6 finless females that i am nursing back to health. I spent £80 and have one more female fighter than i started with.The death and destruction has made me want to shut down my tank. Very sad...........

We had a excellent service from these and the fish are good quality very well packed . I know some reviews say about the prices but if you want quality you have to pay and our opinion is they are well worth the price we are doing another order as we are very pleased with ours.
