We had an excellent experience working with the Smart Estate Agent team, especially Jasmine who helped us from our initial enquiry, through to arranging the viewing, then guiding us through the next steps of submitting an application. 100% would recommend.

Reading through some of the 1 star reviews I can see the same behaviour that’s happening to my daughter
Systematically lied to and talked over when you phone in.
A leak coming through the floor was reported over a week ago.
No response so chased again on Monday.
Still nothing
The leak has now spread into another room.
They claim to have tried to contact my daughter but they haven’t. They even admitted that the so called property manager was next door on Thursday but she didn’t bother to visit. She reported today that there was no leak next door so that was good to know.
I find it astonishing that she didn’t visit my daughter to establish for herself what was going on. I can only presume she didn’t want to know.
My daughter can’t stay there now.
Promised a plumber visit today but they haven’t arrived.
They appear to have not reacted for a week despite damage being caused from this underground leak.
I hope their team have a great, comfortable weekend while my daughter has to move out.
The solution was suggested that she buys a dehumidifier, presumably one with a big tank.

Avoid if I were you

Jenni was so so lovely , helpful and kind. Nothing was ever too much hassle and made our first move the perfect one.
She greeted us with a smile and always sounded happy and chirpy on the phone.

Very drawn out and frustrating process trying to get my agreed deposit returned back to me.

We were recently showed round a beautiful property by Josh, who we found to be a consummate professional - he was friendly, knowledgeable and not overbearing. Thank you for your time so far and we hope to do busines with you soon.

Smart was the Estate Agent for our vendor but helped us considerably in our move from Birmingham to Exeter. Joanne, in particular, went over and above to help facilitate the move. Solar Panels became a sticking point and she did much of the work to help bring clarity to the issue and help our solicitor to work her way through it.
In addition, there were regular phone calls to check on progress and prompt replies to email requests so that house cleaning could be arranged and even the services of an electrician were organised when an issue presented itself - thanks to Lisa.
We would also like to thank Josh and Lisa for their input with prompt replies, helpful phone calls and assistance during our viewings with suggestions made for a builder in the future by Josh.
All in all, the team helped to make a potentially tricky move as smooth as they could.

Well , Smarts did us proud with their team - Lisa impressed us at the begining with her positive attitude , ( even though it’s an awful time at present ) she was full of confidence - Sarah was on board if it needed renting, & Emily did an agreement for us and Jo took over once a sale agreed - it took just under 8 weeks to complete - can you believe it - we were kept in the loop at all times and helped with filling out and scanning forms - we always received a friendly warm welcome - thank you so much - it was an easy sale , your team is great , sorry if I forgot to mention any body in process xx fully recommend xxx

I found this company professional, efficient and helpful.
I asked them to find tenants for a house after which I would then manage the tenancy.

Just had a viewing today of a flat with Poppy. She was very lovely and helpful. She answered all our questions and was very open and honest about any faults in the property which was greatly appreciated. Of course, I did come across other agents while viewing houses, but Poppy really set herself apart with her warmth, empathy, intelligence, promptness, and helpfulness. As landlords we have had excellent service from Smart Estate Agents. Kay and Poppy-Mae have sorted any problems that have cropped up with our tenants, promptly and efficiently.

From a Landlord's perspective Kay and Poppy-Mae have been outstanding in all aspects of the letting and management of my property.

We were struggling to find a property to rent for 9 months then we met Poppy and within 2 weeks of meeting Poppy we got a house! As it was our first time renting we had a lot of questions and didn't want to be much of a bother to SMART but they answered all our questions and replied very quickly.

Poppy and Kay st Smart are the most incredible agents. They have been looking after my property for a long time and I’m extremely impressed with the service they provide. They are both so diligent and professional, yet relaxed and friendly.
Any problems with the property are immediately flagged up and they have excellent maintenance people on hand. Everything is always repaired quickly and sorted out for the tenants.
In terms of advertising my property and finding new tenants….I’ve only had a week between the previous residents moving out and the new tenants moving in…and that was only because the property needed painting.
Their communication is excellent and I have peace of mind knowing they are always quick to respond to emails.

Smart have always been helpful and polite. We deal mostly with Kay Patmore and she has always been good to us. We've never had any issues with them, and any problems with the property have been dealt with promptly. Top marks.

Great viewing, very informative, friendly and seem to be quick to deal with problems with the house.
