I ordered several Decadent Cheese Hampers as seasonal gifts for colleagues and external partners, and the service from Snowdonia Cheese was excellent from start to finish. Mark kept me updated on delivery plans, was quick to confirm payment and dates, and shared clear Royal Mail tracking details for each recipient, which was really helpful for corporate gifting. Everything felt organised, reliable and friendly, and it made the whole process very easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for future gifting.

Contaminated hampers with rodent droppings – company refused full refund despite photo evidence
I ordered £600 worth of luxury Christmas hampers as corporate client gifts. Thank goodness I had them delivered to me first rather than straight to the clients.
When I opened the first hamper the smell was unbearable. Inside I found multiple rodent droppings, badly damaged and leaking packaging, and several broken items. The condition was so severe that
I immediately contacted the company with clear photos. Initially “Dan” (the only name I was ever given) promised it would be resolved and offered only a partial refund for the visibly broken items when i obviously refused this and insisted on a-full refund the company stopped replying to emails and stoped answering the phone.
I have now had to escalate this through my bank and Trading Standards.
This is not a case of minor damage – this is a serious health hazard and appalling customer service. I strongly recommend avoiding this company completely they are appalling and to be doing this to hard working people at this time of year disgusting

I cannot get this company to reply to my emails. I paid £6 to deliver on a particular day and have had a notification that the cheeses will be delivered 10 days earlier. The address is an air B&B and we’re supposed to arrive the day after my friend gets there for her birthday. I’ve sent three emails and not had a reply despite their automatic reply saying they reply on average in 1 day.

I ordered a hamper as a Xmas present for a relative, it arrived on Thursday and I am very pleased with it. Well packaged, contents still chilled when I opened it. I had three free chutney too! I will be ordering a hamper for myself shortly.

I am sorry to say that your delivery company totally let us down. The product was dispatched the same day as my order. Conformation email came that delivery will take place the next day . The following day I got a message in the evening to say that the delivery now will happen the following day. No time given and no tracking available. Finally delivered that evening.
Driver through your parcel over the gate and left. We only found out some 20min later by looking on the phone that it was delivered . It rained heavily and the parcel was on top of the drain. It was soaked right through to the inside of your beautiful hamper. I am upset for me and your company. Although I love your cheese I will not place any more orders on line. Previous delivery was unproblematic.

Can’t rate the product as it was never delivered. But on rating the customer service what a poor experience and company to deal with

Having been sent a voucher by another customer, I ordered a Cheese Bakes Night In Selection × 1 at a cost of £36.00, that being over the amount required to be able to specify a delivery date which I did for the week before Christmas as a gift. At check out and when paying, shipping was listed as being charged at £6.00 which I took to being the charge for specifying the date specified for delivery. Nowhere did it tell me that because I was using a discount voucher that I was under the £35.00 threshold and therefore could no longer specify a delivery date, nor did the invoice state that it was to be standard delivery.
So instead of this gift arriving as part of a larger sequence of gifts on a particular date nearer Christmas, it is being delivered 17 days earlier than was wanted. Dan who is the only person in customer support, was unhelpful, and simply said that the specified date had not come through their end, so implied their lack of clarity was my error, and he took zero accountability for the lack of clarity by Snowdonia Cheese Co for their complete lack of clarity regarding their buying process and delivery dates. I am so annoyed they have completely mucked up the sequence of surprises for the recipient.

WILL NOT BE USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN , not just due to the error regarding delivery but also because of their total indifference to the predicament their failures have put me in.

UPDATE
NOW at 15.44 I receive an email saying they are refunding the entire amount, but they do not make it clear if they have cancelled the delivery in order to make the refund and if so I will need to organise an alternative gift, or if they are making a generous gesture and if they would answer their phone it would help, buy they don't answer the phone and its automated system cut me off & it was only 4.40pm. This company cause more and more drama and uncertainty with every move they make.

I wanted to order a gift box of Snowdonia Cheese as a Christmas gift but was concerned about storage, so wrote to the company to ask (there was no advice visible on the web site). They assured me that they had a shelf life well into the New Year (it was then late November), so I ordered one straight away. However it arrived with a sticker to say refrigerate immediately. There was no way I could store such a large box in my fridge till Christmas, so wrote to the company, even suggesting that I would return it at my own expense and they could store it for me till Christmas but they didn't want to know. I have now wasted a considerable amount of money on something that will just perish.

Unhelpful, wont deliver to East Scotland directly but will if you order from them via Amazon.
Ordered several hampers from Cheese Hamper instead, helpful, quick and better priced

Shoutout to Dan in customer service, Black Friday offer didn’t apply to my order, replied quickly and sorted this out for me whilst apologising for the error. Thanks so much hopefully the hamper will be enjoyed by my parents!

High quality cheeses, much superior to supermarket brands. Lots of choices which were well packed and
arrived on time. Good value for the money. This is the second time of ordering from this company and would not hesitate to recommend to friends.

Ordered the quintessential cheese hamper for a family birthday and it arrived well presented in one day. I have wanted to try the Red Devil cheese for a while and it definitely did not disappoint. The cheeses are delicious and paired well with the two chutneys. Will definitely order one again for Christmas time.

This is the first time I have used this company and have brought some hampers for Christmas gifts. Delivery was very prompt and the hampers well packed. The hampers themselves are beautiful and very well presented. Communication was always very prompt with excellent customer service at the heart of it. I won’t hesitate to use this company again.

This cheese tastes so good, as a family we can't go back to normal supermarket cheese!

Placed an order has taken 5 days with DHL in the blistering heat, I would expect it to be delivered at least quickly and even çooled. Not looking forward to trying it now

I’m genuinely disappointed with Snowdonia Cheese. I placed an order on 16 June, scheduled for delivery on 21 June before 12pm, as a carefully planned birthday gift for my partner's 40th. I paid a premium price expecting high-quality service to match the product — and it simply didn’t arrive.

This was supposed to be a special moment, and instead, I had nothing to give on the day. No communication, no update, and customer service didn’t even respond until the following Monday, well after the damage was done. They apologized and refunded me, but by then it was too late — the day was ruined.

A refund doesn’t fix the disappointment and embarrassment of not having a birthday gift for someone you care about. If you’re ordering for a special occasion, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I expected much better from a brand like this.

Excellent customer service. We had a problem with our first delivery which was caused by the delivery company. We contacted Snowdonia Cheese Co. and they replied immediately and sent replacement goods.

The hamper arrived, the delivery driver just dropped the box on the floor! I see this all the time now! When opened to check contents The lid was off the port case and bent and dinted, the box of truffles was completely crushed and the gift note was half ripped, for the price I expect all items to be in pristine condition this is a gift and I feel a little embarrassed to give damaged goods, I wouldn't normally spend this much on a thank you gift as money is tight so I am disappointed and wished I had just made my own hamper.

Fantastic company selling wonderful cheese , we had a small issue which was very quickly and satisfactorily resolved. I would highly recommend this company and their products to anyone.
