Following a non fault car accident last year my husband got in touch with Stocalfe who arranged collection of the car and next day provided him with a courtesy car. He signed what he thought were handover documents and all was well. A month later we received monies for our car which had been written off and a week later the courtesy car was returned. All good so far and we were pleased with their communications. However, yesterday 4 months or so later, we found out the other parties insurance company will not pay the invoice Stocalf has sent them for the hire car charges (at this stage the invoice was for just under £24,000 for 40 days of hire) and now their solicitors have written to us asking for both our financials, bank statements etc and how we've paid for our new car so please be careful accepting a courtesy car from them as itâs actually a hire car credit form you are signing for which was never explained to my husband, just papers shoved under his nose to sign quickly. Not his best move I know but heâs dyslexic and was stressed he had put his trust in others. This is terribly frightening for us as pensioners and has added angst to go with our current health woes. Not sure how this will end ð¥¹
Post note: after 19 months of worry and having received court papers with my husbands name on them taking other driver to court for the £24,000, we finally got a call from the solicitors saying the third parties insurance company had settled and there was no further recourse to my husband.

I was unfortunately involved in an accident which wasnât my fault. Stocalfe responded really quickly and I was given a hire car the following day due to my car being in road worthy. Luke and Jack couldnât have handled my claim any better and was able to obtain liability from the other drivers insurance. The communication was clear and consistent, no questions was left unanswered. I canât recommend this company enough!

Very confusing. I'm still unsure if this company was acting as insurers (they were not my insurers, I was led to believe they were) or just car hire company after I had an accident with my car.

Can highly recommend this company after being unfortunately involved in an accident which resulted in my car being wrote off. All staff were fantastic especially Megan and Felicity who I mainly spoke to and went to extensive lengths to fight our corner with both the 3rd parties insurance company for settling my claim and the finance company who even âlostâ our £10,000 payment we made! Nothing was too much trouble and now we have it sorted finally. Excellent service, a credit to the company.

Great service received after a drink driver hit my parked car. Hire car was received within 48 hours and they picked the hire car up the day after mine was returned all fixed and ready to go! Good communication and assistance all the way through.

Reading all these reviews it seems Stocalfe have good communication with their clients that have had an accident, flip it over to the communication to the bodyshop that has repaired a vehicle and would like paying it seems they are extremely reluctant. I have been chasing a nearly £4000 invoice since April 2023, when you email a finance manager and an operations manager that doesn't give a definite response for the payment what hope do you have. We as a company along with others that I know of will no longer take any work from this company.
I was unfortunate enough to be involved in a road traffic collision recently, which was very unsettling. I used Stocalfe to deal with my claim, and my claim handler was Megan. She was calm, efficient and confident when dealing with myself and my case and which I was grateful for in the circumstances. I would recommend this company to anyone, thank you ð
