Katie was extremely friendly, a great credit to the support team at Switchboard free, who, by the way, are all really nice!
I never think twice about calling if I need a bit of support, as I know they are trained incredibly well. They know all of the places to change every setting, and if you explain the exact situation you are into them, they will set up things like call forwarding for you.

So far so good, very refreshing
So far, we've been very impressed. We'd been with our previous telecoms provider for over 10 years, but over time we felt increasingly neglected and frustrated. It seemed they did everything possible to avoid being contacted by phone, which was particularly problematic whenever something went wrong and we needed urgent support.
By comparison, Switchboard Free has been a breath of fresh air. Calls are answered within a few rings, and it's even more refreshing to speak to someone who can answer most of our questions there and then, without being passed from department to department. It's the level of customer service we'd almost forgotten existed, and it's made a fantastic first impression.
How and why we stayed with our old company for so long, I really don't know !

First class service

I just dialled 1 number from the switch board and they have suspended my account and the reason was that they have noticed any kind of fraudulent activity that was ridiculous

Hidden Contract Conditions
After cancelling my service, I was charged a final invoice based on a 30-day notice period. These conditions were not clearly presented at the point of sign-up. There also appears to be a 90-day minimum contract, which was not made clear upfront either.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, important contract terms should be transparent and clearly brought to the customer’s attention, rather than simply being included within lengthy Terms and Conditions. In my experience, this standard was not met. Instead of clearly stating a “90-day minimum term,” the service promotes “no lengthy contracts” and “pay monthly,” without making the 30-day notice requirement clear upfront.
I contacted their customer support team to raise this issue and requested that the final invoice be waived, but my email was not responded to. Despite this, the payment was still taken from my account.
I am disappointed by the lack of transparency around the contract terms and the way this situation has been handled.
I also found the quality of calls to be inconsistent and often unreliable.

Would recommend
I have just started using SBF, and my first impression has been really good. Features like selecting between two very professional, welcoming voices and a wide variety of choices between waiting time playlists make all the difference. I have been helped and directed by the call centre team quite efficiently to get me set up. Abbie and Ali were really good! Calls tested today with a call answering service, and it works really well. Thanks guys
