Avoid switchfd at all costs

I have been through hell with switchfd. They have made endless mistakes with my energy supply. They have no telephone access, and they take for ever to answer emails. When they do, they hardly ever deal with the real problem. At the moment I am finding it impossible to find out from switchd who is my energy supplier. It is impossible to deal with the real suppliers because switchd make you use an email address which is not your own. This requires a separate password and you have to remember the email address which switch has invented, Frankly this is a nightmare. Do not on any account have anything to do with them.

Difficult to regegester

I cannot contact 'Outfox the Market' because I am unable to do so. They keep asking me for a meter reading, which I am unable to do. I have tried to contact them on numerous occasions.

I am seriously considering renouncing my 'Switch' account as I now have a bill from my old supplier—not a final bill but a regular bill. I do not believe that I have been switched at all.

Easy process but some surprises

It was an easy process to switch and the new deal is good, but I was surprised by being added to a paid Switchd subscription once the switch had completed. It must have been mentioned somewhere in the emails, but it cane as a surprise to me.

Because I'm fed up of my old supplier…

Because I'm fed up of my old supplier charging wrong.
I had been I USA 3 months using nothing but a tiny freezer all that time, yet the bills did not show it.
I will not accept that kind of treatment. Thank you Gillian

Switch went smoothly

Switch went smoothly. Only problem was request for meter readings when I was away on holiday. Confused me, as I changed to a smart meter last year and was categorically told that this put an end to manual meter readings. Happy with the service given by Mahdi in our lengthy email correspondence to eventually sort this out.

Switchd does all the work for me

Switchd does all the work for me. I no longer have to spend time trying to work out which is the best electricity company deal for me, and they do all the work of switching for me.

Really confusing and pretty useless

Not entirely sure I am actually saving money but honestly it’s too complicated to work out how to cancel this. Also the emailing everything via you is super annoying e.g password reset emails don’t come through before they expire so I just gave up. I’m now with a company I’ve never heard of with a terrible website that I don’t trust at all.

Change of supplier for gas &electric

I don't know what to say they found me a great deal but I think you could do the same on your own and now I have got to pay them for getting me a change in supply as I am trying to save money so not going to save a lot more but thats life

Easy switch

The switching process was relatively easy. Switchd had great communication with us throughout moving gas and electric. Overall very happy as we will be saving money!

Could do better

Signed up with them as recommended by Nationwide. Unfortunately they are not as proactive as their marketing suggests. I had to chase them for both my mother and for ourselves. The fixed rate contract I had agreed to move onto was a flexible, more expensive contract. The reason I was given is that the supplier could not find my address, despite being given bills! That issue has possibly been partially resolved. Bank account details are given to Switchd so that they can be shared with the new supplier so everything is seamless. The supplier says they don't have them. I would give 1 star,were it not for the staff with whom I have interacted who are effective. My mother too, has had issues.
