Will it save us that much?

Not convinced the latest switch will save us that much as we had to pay a £50 exit fee from EDF.

Got the switch wrong. Company then charged me twice. Then got charged by switchd

USEFUL SERVICE BUT DOUBTFUL BENEFIT

I found this to be useful service and the person handling the switch was very responsive and professional.

However, I had multiple requests to provide meter readings and it was not always clear what stage of the process we were in.

Also, my existing supplier EDF eventually sent me an estimated quote that represented an increase of £40 in my monthly premium as opposed the supplier I was Switchd to which was £50 !

I didn't have the energy to turn the clock back and stick with what I had !

Covid affected service

This was a great idea but Covid ruined the model for me. As far as I can recall I got switched once before covid for a small saving and there were no further switches until that company went bust and I got switched automatically (not by Switchd) to EON who I went immediately into dispute with over credit from previous supplier. I had no final statement from previous supplier so no proof. No switches since then. All in all, its cost me a lot more than it has saved.

I'm sorry to hear you felt our service hasn't been of value to you.

During the Covid pandemic, energy companies paused all their fix deals and a lot of companies went bust meaning energy switching was paused. This was something that was completely out of our control, however we still provided our customers with support through this troubling time. It's a shame you had a dispute with your new supplier after your other supplier went bust, again this is not in our control.

However, we have switched you last month to a 12 month fix deal that over the course of the year will save you money as the price cap has been announced to increase by 9-10% in October.
I hope you have felt this switch has been of value to you. Of course, we are continuing to scan the whole market for you to find you an even better deal in the future.

Hassle free easy to understand process

I was contacted by Switchd about a potentsaving by switching supplier. They worked out the savings for me.based on my last bill, then once I was happy they made the process happen taking all the hassle out of it.

Satisfactory cheaper switch. Good communication with the same…

Nice to communicate with the same person (pretty much) and to be switched to a cheaper supplier. The only thing I didn't like was having my email address changed for the purpose of going through Switchd to communicate with my new supplier although I sort of understand the reason for it; I prefer to deal direct always.

I ended up switching myself to a new deal

Slick offering but not sure it does what it says on the packet. I signed up to a trial via Nationwide but it was my energy provider that alerted me to the fact now might be the time to switch to a fixed contract given where energy prices are forecast to go in the winter. Before I made the switch, I found other suppliers with slightly better rates than I was on. I’d assumed recommending better options was Switchd’s purpose but I didn’t hear a thing from them in my time as a customer
