My wage was being garnished. I depended on Tax Hardship to help with me with the IRS. There were little to no help from Tax Hardship. I received a consultation phone call from the case manager who was handling my case. They said it will take some time with my IRS resolution. After two months of my wage being garnished, I was the who negotiated with the IRS to release my garnishment.

Tax Hardship Center did not provide any help with resolving my wage garnishment. After numerous attempts on a weekly basis, to contact Tax Hardship, they have not gotten back to me on refunding me my payment.

Tax Harship will promise you that they can take care of your IRS issues. They will take your money upfront. Avoid at all cost. There are other places that can help you.

SCAM! I spent $3500 on the tax hardship center in 2023. It is now 2026 and they have still not resolved anything! The only thing they did was drag this out for so long that now I am in a worse situation because the penalties and fees have continued to pile up. I owe more now that I did when I hired them to help me. They are now saying the best they can do is put me on a payment plan with the IRS. No reduction, no waived fees, no negotiated amount, literally nothing was done for that $3500 fee! Can you imagine how much the penalties and late fees have accumulated in 3 years while this company was "working on it"? This company does not communicate with you at all. No letters, no emails, no phone calls. What did they even do for their money? I wish I never hired them. I should have dealt with the IRS directly and would not still be in this situation 2026 where now I am going to pay more that ever! They charged me $3500 to drag this out for 3 years which allowed fees to pile up in the thousands!!! They should refund my money. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB!

I was kept informed of every step taken in the process of negotiations with the IRS. I felt like I was taking an active part in the outcome. In addition, the team treated me like a person, and not a number.

I have put out over 4000 with this company. They do not call you to discuss your case. Yes they asked me to send in a copy of how much is in the bank to submit to the IRS in order to get this possibly to where i owe nothing. I don't think they are working on my behalf?? Mike called and stated i needed to redo my 2019. I thought with the money I've paid out this should be included for them to fix. Instead i get a freaking email requesting another 500. WTH is going on here? Unless I actually see results, which i will send in another review.... Do not use these people. They give absolutely no feedback about anything, and your always the one doing the contacting. Stay away!!!! SCAMMERS on innocent hardworking folk!!!!!!!! I still have not heard back from Mike about the response of fixing my 2019! I will let you know the outcome. This has been ongoing for almost a year.

I wrote a detailed review on Google, but this company is a scam. I paid $6000 dollars and they did nothing. They do not communicate at all, and you have to wait weeks for any sort of update even though you are emailing and leaving voicemails. This is not a rant but a warning as I just experienced this. I will be suing for my Money back once I get my tax issues finally rectified. Please be warned and please do not give a dime of your money to these people. The only time I got a response in minutes was when I told them I am no longer their client. The response was "Thank you we will close your account" and that's it. I have e-mail proof to share. Do not use. Do not use!

Nobody is perfect, that is why the 4 star vs 5 star rating. Early on more facts about the IRS and its ability to get decisions about the Fresh Start programs and breakdown of how one fits in. Otherwise, the Tax relief personnel was led in my case with Katherine Hess as my case manager and facts were not coming to her at times for weeks/months at a time. Katherine was a delight to work with, always took the time to make sure I understood what was going on and back it up with data. I am grateful to her service, expertise and patience where I was concerned.

They helped me out tremendously! Everything was pain and worry free for me. They kept me up to date on the whole process. Katherine Hess was the person working on my case and I couldn't recommend her enough. If you ask for a recommendation for someone to work with your tax problems, I would definitely recommend them!

If you have unresolved tax issues, this is the company work with - I had a stellar experience and my tax issues were resolved in a much shorter time period than I had anticipated. Sarah, Alex and Clay were absolutely wonderful. All calls were returned promptly and they took the time to answer all questions I had. I very much appreciate their patience. Katherine Hess was my case manager and she was absolutely wonderful to work with-she too answered all calls promptly and stayed in close contact every step of the way and her kindness, professionalism and patience were very much appreciated. I cannot recommend this company enough. If you have unresolved tax issues this is the company to work with-they go above and beyond for their clients!

This was a very stressful time in my life and everyone at Tax Hardship was there for me to help me through this process. I turned everything they required from me and they took care of the rest. They saved me for having to pay thousands of dollars. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The tax & resolution team at this company not only prepared my taxes with accuracy but also helped me set up an installment agreement that fit my budget. Their team explained everything in simple terms, walked me through the paperwork and made a stressful process feel manageable. Thank you guys so much for your guidance! I was able to file on time for my 2024 tax return and set up a payment plan that gave me peace of mind!

I contacted tax hardship a week ago, I paid over $500 and scheduled an appt for this past Tues. The appt time came and went. When I would call or text, the response was we are waiting for a transcript from the IRS. Now they are just ghosting me. I feel like I was scammed.

We had high hopes for the Tax Hardship center when we first spoke to someone. We had been working with the IRS for 6 years with a high monthly payment plan but with interest and all the penalties our balance just kept climbing and each year we just were adding more debt as we owe every year. We were very behind on owing taxes 50grand+! My husband works for the Govt and it was very important that we get this settled as it could of impacted his job. We paid them over 3grand and the only "resolution" they returned was the same payment plan we had with the IRS. There was no penalty waiving or attempts other then telling us this was our best offer due to our sitation. this goes against what we were "sold" on during initial conversations. We were also told by the company that we should cease communication with the IRS and send any documentation we received to Tax Hardship. We followed the instructions, even when we received a lien on my husbands check, we were told while in negotiations they couldnt take action, however, starting in July my husband had a lein put on his check and over 1000 a month was taken. I have escalated to everyone we had worked with the company since July 2nd requesting a refund or partial refund but have received Zero responses from anyone other than the Better Business Bureau who told me to file a formal complaint. The only email I received was requesting our last payment of 1300. That will be our next step if this is not resolved asap. The lack of empathy, communication and lack of responses after I paid over 3grand is unacceptable. I do not recommend this company to help you with your Tax resolutions.

Horrible company. Following other reviews I signed with them over 14 months ago. Was told they can help me. Then they collected only old information, and not was i shared with them as being the issue, now. Of coyrse no help. Then I raised the issue again, ooops, now they wanted the new info. In the meantime I received Levy warning from IRS.
NONE responsive, no sense of urgency. no one responds ever. Horrible, waste of time and money.

Originally they said they can help me, so I signed and paid my fee, now 16 moths later still o resolution but my IRS interest fees are huge.
I am looking for legal help with this situation, as this company does not responds to reviews, BBB letters, or direct correspondence.

Please Do Not use this company for tax relief. They have got $3,500. 495 initial fee then 500 a month. We were hit by Hurricane Helen in September asked for a 1.month reprieve so we could repair damages. Everything was good then advised we had to be sent to accounting dept. For a higher fee, we declined then we were ghosted!Save yourself the headache and money! They never even filled a Power of Attorney with the IRS on our behalf it's disgraceful how they do business, Thieves! Use a different company save yourself!

This team took the time to learn about my situation, gave me a comprehensive explanation of alternatives, and worked hard to offer a reasonable payment schedule that worked for me. I no longer have to worry about aggressive collections because of their knowledge and commitment, and I feel like I have financial control once again. They made the biggest difference, so I heartily suggest them to anyone with trouble paying their taxes!
