Simple quote process and a great price. Fitter arrived on time and did a fabulous job and all work completed same day. Fitter was polite and communicative.

Side boarding will not b done was not made very clear. It was in contract which was vague. Making customer fool.

Bad experience

Had our loft installation work completed yesterday.
Excellent work by Chris & Kevin they never stopped working, completing in a day as advertised. Left everywhere clean & tidy.
Quality loft ladder, flooring and insulation fitted. Great communication from everyone involved from start to finish. Highly recommend !

A competitive quote and reliable service. Hottest day of the year and the guys showed up on time and delivered. Communication smooth. Tiny glitch afterwards and quickly resolved. Will have them back to complete boarding.

Originally had our loft booked in for the 8th July however had to be rearranged due to the heat (dont blame them) was given plenty of notice of this and was rearranged just a week later (did think this would be rearranged too as it was still a hot day). Jon turned up on time got stuck right it. Very professional and efficient. Took about 5 hours we had just under 20m² boarded, new loft hatch and ladder, new strip light and insulation all over. Extremely happy with the results hats off to Jon for doing it in the heat as it was stifling up there! Highly recommend this company.

I chose this company based on their reviews and expected a professional installation.

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
The original loft installation had several issues, including loose and missing screws on the loftboards, gaps between some of the loft boards, multiple squeaky areas, and cosmetic filler used on damaged timber.

The loft light also had a noticeable buzzing noise, and the light fitting cover was damaged during the installation by the electrician.
To their credit, the company arranged for the electrician and installer to return. The damaged light fitting was replaced, but the replacement still buzzes. During the remedial visit, the loft hatch was reinforced with a sister timber; however, this timber also split after installation.

I also wasn't impressed with the way some of the electrical cable was routed around the timber, leaving it wrapped around the framing rather than being neatly clipped and protected. In my opinion, this does not reflect a tidy or professional finish.

Communication initially was good, but when I raised my concerns and requested compensation after the remedial work also failed to resolve everything, I received no response for over a month. I was later told my emails had gone into their spam folder.

The company has since offered a third visit to rectify the loft hatch timber. However, after the original installation and the subsequent remedial work also resulting in split timber, I have unfortunately lost confidence in the quality of the workmanship and no longer wish to have further work carried out by the same company.

I appreciate that they were willing to return, but I do not believe multiple visits should be necessary to achieve an acceptable standard of workmanship. I requested a goodwill payment or partial refund so I could arrange an independent repair, but this was declined.

Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this company.

The Fitter was courteous and well mannered he did a good job and left no mess. Everything about using the loft ladder was explained well. The ladder itself looks high quality and well made. We are very pleased with everything and would recommend The Loftman.

The Loftman guys did a fantastic job, firstly installing an extending loft ladder and secondly boarding the loft out. They did the work in searing heat and I was very impressed with their efficiency and hard work. They cleared up beautifully and were unfailingly polite. I thoroughly recommend them. It was very easy to organise the work and the communications with the office was great.

Whilst most reviews are good - we had bad experience with the company resulting in a very poor fitting loft cover & lack of space to access the loft.
I should have been advised not to have a loft cover with the way my loft is made.
I have since asked for assistance as my loft cover drops at one corner - but have been told that this isnt the case - i am just not closing it correctly! This is wrong if I could supply photos on here I would.
I personally would not recommend this company and certainly not recommend their follow up customer service.

I have had a response from the Loftman. One query is that they have inspected the cover fitting (since the review)?
I would be interested to know when this inspection took place?

Great service from enquiry to installation. Hottest day of the year and still came out to complete the work. Perfect job and very professional, highly recommend

From the first contact to the finished job, a great experience for me. The quote was straightforward and gave me options. Paul and Mark turned up on the day of the installation, immediately laid down covers and started work. My loft hatch was stuck and Paul patiently gave me options; likewise with Mark with the actual ladder. In the end, he and Mark were able to resolve the hatch issue, my ladder and boards were fitted and I’m really happy with the result.

Very professional team, we are very happy with their work. Would totally recommend.

From start to finish it was easy, simple, good value and professional. From the guy that quoted to the guys that installed all a great experience. They even hoovered up after they finished!! Highly recommend. Can't fault anything!

Avoid this company at all costs.TWICE I have been goven an install date and twice they have cancelled it..
I Have taken time off work to have the work done and it has been cancelled.

Great service from the initial consultation to fitting. Everything was explained clearly and work carried out to a very professional standard. Jamie our fitter was very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Professional service in a timely manner. Jamie completed the job within 5 hours, cleaned up all the mess, and left a fabulous new storage space with an easy to open and close fitted ladder. I would highly recommend this company.

Telephoned to enquire about a loft ladder and was told someone would call me back. Never did.

The account manager Luca who came to check and quote on our loft was extemely helpful and explained his quote in detail. Also followed up quickly when we had questions. Once a date was decided, we were kept informed/reminded on the date/time of instalation. The installers arrived well within the time frame, completed the job in a few hours, and the loft looks great!
