Arrived on time, lovely polite guys and after finishing the job in an hour and a half, you wouldn’t know they’d been. Perfect clean up . I would definitely recommend this company.

I was thrilled with the speed and professionalism of installer. Fabulous job, he left absolutely no mess whatsoever. He was friendly and polite, and explained it all thoroughly to us when completed. I have been asked about,and have shown and highly recommended the installation to others.

I recently had flooring installed in my loft and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The initial contact was friendly, efficient, and really set the tone. Arranging the survey was straightforward, and the surveyor arrived exactly on time, which I really appreciated.

The quote came back lower than I expected, but the quality of service certainly wasn’t compromised. The installation team arrived on the agreed date, got straight to work, and were fast, tidy, and incredibly professional throughout. They left everything spotless.

The end result is absolutely fantastic — the flooring looks great and has completely transformed the space. I’m genuinely delighted with the whole process and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this team to anyone looking for reliable, high‑quality loft work.

Came and fitted it really quick. Looks and works great.

Professional quick service from start to finish. Installer was experienced carpenter. Where small adjustments had to be made in ceiling these were done very neatly.

Received a quote for boarding my loft, enlarging the hatch and fitting a loft ladder. The job was then booked for the following week.

The 2 lads turned up promptly, were very polite and completed the job in a little under 3 hours. The quality of work was great and they even hoovered my landing on completion.

Personally I wouldn't hesitate in using them again should I need to.

We can't praise this company enough. Our on line contact was answered the next day. A site visit was arranged for Friday the same week and the loft ladder was fitted the following Monday. Our fitter was Lee, he called in the morning to give an arrival time and arrived as promised on time. He was careful to lay dust sheets to protect carpets and explained the whole procedure and expected duration. On completion, Lee removed all rubbish and cleaned and tidied the work area. WOW, what a result. The loft hatch is now of a size that is comfortable to use and no more rickerty steps. Real wooden steps and a hand rail making it much easier to access and store items for later use. Lee gave a demonstration on how the ladder folded and stored, this was a 100% improvement on the one removed. Very easy to use, the steps are solid and feel very safe. We would definitely recommend the loftman company. Price was great and very professional from first contact to final fitting.

Absolutely superb service from initial appointment to installment. Person doing quote was very clear and informative. When the quote arrived, the same day, it was an excellent price and fully itemised. I accepted the quote and booked installation date straight away. I was informed by email that the fitters would be with me at 9am although the email also said it could be anytime between 8 and 10. Fitters arrived at 8.05 and apologised for being a bit late. In my experience I've never had any fitters or delivery company apologise for 5 minutes. The 2 men who came were friendly and polite. They did an amazing job and not a speck of dust was left behind. I couldn't recommend this service enough. I have already given their details to 2 friends. One has since had her loft done and is just as happy, the other is going to get a quote.

The price was right, so we checked the reviews. There were some mentions of scheduling and customer service issues, but the majority were positive, which gave us confidence to go ahead.

The initial surveyor was excellent — prompt, friendly, and efficient. A great first impression and really set the tone for what we expected to follow. The installation itself was also booked quickly and efficiently.

On the day of installation, an issue was flagged with an electrical wire. Annoying, but not the end of the world — these things happen, and I accepted that it meant taking another day off work.

Unfortunately, this is where the experience dipped. When it came to rescheduling, I was promised a call to reschedule that never came, so when I rang in to reschedule myself, I was met with unnecessary attitude despite being understandably frustrated. There was no attempt to approach the situation from a customer-service perspective. I had to call in multiple times to attempt to rearrange, waited a long time to get through, and was spoken to rudely again — which really wasn’t acceptable.

The real kicker was the electrician visit that had to happen before the reattempted installation. He was here for around three minutes, as the wire was so old and corroded it was removed by hand. That felt like something that could have been handled by the installer with appropriate training, rather than costing us extra time and disruption.

I understand cost-cutting and efficiency measures, but the core of any business should still be putting the customer first. A bit of empathy and politeness goes a very long way.

That said, once everything was finally resolved, the final installation was prompt, quick, and efficient. He could have been tidier with cleanup, but it was quick. If the process had matched the excellent impression left by the initial surveyor, this would easily have been a 5-star experience.

Mark & Dan were polite, professional and delivered high quality work. Respectful of the house, cleaned up thoroughly afterwards and gave a great explanation of how it all worked.
Work was completed in half a day!

Decided we wanted a loft ladder fitted and used The Loftman Company to supply and install

First they sent a man to measure up and discuss what type of ladder we wanted
He was excellent he arrived at the agreed time and did a good job

Then a date and time was booked for installation but nobody turned up at the agreed time and on calling we were told that they don`t guarantee what time they will come and it would be later in the day
We had to cancel as we needed to go out

A second date was booked for installation but nobody turned up at the agreed time then they called to cancel saying the van had broken down

A third date was booked for installation and this time the fitters two young lads turned up at the agreed time and installation was completed

Later in the day I went up into the loft and discovered what a Bodge the installation was some screws too short to reach solid wood other screws far too long and going right through the wood with the sharp ends sticking out the other side ready to rip you hand open and these spacers that they use should only be used in a small gap large gaps should use a proper plank of wood to fill the space but these guys put spacer after spacer after spacer with nothing even holding them in place

When we contacted the company they did offer to send the fitters back but we don`t want those boggers back.

After having three loft companies come and survey my loft for the installation of a loft ladder and partial boarding, I decided to go with The Loftman Company, (due to price and their reviews). However, after paying half the cost of the job when booking the installation date it became a joke! I booked the day off of work for the job to be done, (my last remaining holiday day), but two days before received a call asking if they could change the installation date, (due to one of the installers being off ill). I ok'd the date change with my bosses and informed the company it would be fine. I was informed that the installers would arrive at about 1pm. On the agreed date 1pm arrived, but the installers didn't. When it got to 2pm I called the company and got put through to install scheduling to be greeted by a messaging service. I left a message asking for someone to called me back. I called again at 2.30pm to get the same thing happen and left a second message. The third call I made, 10 mins later, I explained the issue to the receptionist, who informed me that she was unable to access any work schedules and that she too would send a message. I received a call from someone at around 4pm, informing me that the installers had been involved in an accident. If true, I feel sympathy for those involved in the accident and appreciate that unexpected things can happen, BUT it was not implied that it was a serious incident and does not explain why I was not contacted to explain what had happened. I received no consideration at all.
I was asked when I wanted the job done and I explained asap, and it was suggested it be done between Christmas and New Year, (when I had plans) or the 23rd December.
When I explained that I would need to now take the time unpaid and said I would want the lost earnings to be accounted for in the remaining balance, the management's offer did not cover all the lost earnings.
It was at that this point that I realised that my custom obviously wasn't wanted, or appreciated by the company and I decided to cancel the job and requested a refund of the payment already made, which I did receive.
The only positives I can give are the surveyor who initially visited was very pleasant, as was the guy who tried to resolve the issues with the installation mess. (He did his best).

I would advise anyone thinking of having loft work done to AVOID this company and will NOT recommend to anyone in the future.

Professional visit, listened to what I needed and delivered exactly that on installation. Quick, clean installation and I am thrilled with the results, solid ladder and so easy to use.

I had a loft hatch installed over a year ago the trim round the hatch is to large making contact with the down lights also the ladder when unfolded hits the banister this has now put a hole in the banister. Even though they claim it has a 2 year warranty when I told them about the issues they said it’s been to long since the install to raise issues then tried to get me to pay them to sort out there poor install.
