I ordered tile backer board and paid extra for next day delivery. The items didn't arrive until the week after, and when they did arrive, they were damaged and a boot print left on the packaging.
I've tried contacting them several times (3 times on the phone) and not heard anything back after the initial call. Still trying to get a refund.
I would avoid this company in the future.

Appalling Customer Service
We had loads of problems with the delivery and eventually had to collect our order from the couriers depot or face being charged £125! When we got there, some of our order was damaged. I provided photos taken at the depot and they blamed on not being secured in our vehicle! The email is really rude too. I'd say it would be better to pay a little extra and go somewhere else for a lot less hassle.

Terrible Experience – Highly Untrustworthy
I ordered goods in December 2024, paid £94.64, and received faulty items. Since then, I’ve sent multiple emails and a formal letter requesting a refund – all ignored. Not a single reply in months.
This isn’t just bad service; it’s complete disregard for customers and consumer rights. I’ve now had to prepare for legal action just to get my money back.
What’s also concerning is how their rating jumped from below 2 stars to over 4.5 within a single month (April). That alone should raise serious questions about credibility.
If you're considering using This is Wholesale, don’t. They’re unreliable, evasive, and in my experience, dishonest.

Please do not deal with this company, shop at Latham's instead. The customer service trying to return an item was so bad, I was laughing. They still owe me money. I hope my anonymous friend 'Trade Sales Team' finds happiness and contentment. How do they have a 4.5/5 rating with 36% of all reviews being 1 star?
You get what you pay for
Bought decking, one board they put in my car was not usable - but I didnt see it until I got home. All of the guys working on the shop floor were kind and helpful. "Customer Service" - aka 'guy in the suit that was too big for him' - came out after I returned the one unusable piece and spoke to me like rubbish. Told me that "Its only £12 a board that we pay for so I'm not sure what you want compensation for".
"Customer Service" then advised that "I’m not sure what you was expecting to receive as we are wholesale" assuming he was stating that the quality of the items purchase from the company that he worked for was expected to be poor as you get what you pay for? Definitely needs to work on his "Customer Service, or at least hire someone who knows how to speak to people/customers.
Anyway, here is an example of the items that he definitely wasn't happy having returned..
No problems - All food
Ordered radiator on the Monday - Arrived lunchtime Tuesday by Parcelforce. Order was correct - no damage found - All good

Rubbish customer service
Rubbish customer service, a bot could have been better. Stopped replying to my emails despite some of my order being missing. I will not use them again and would advise anyone else to do the same.

Worst supplier ever. Customer service doesn't exist and sales people are very rude and unhelpful.
If you return goods they deduct much more than the 30% stated on their Terms and Conditions and they don't explain anything.
After having confirmed the receipt of the goods in good order, and after many emails from us chasing for the refund, they stated that the goods were damaged. They never sent an email about it and no proof of the damage, just taking money arbitrarily.
DO NOT USE THEM!!!
Bad experience with this company
I needed some fire doorframes and contacted this company for advice on what I needed to purchase. They advised me to purchase some frames that were the wrong depth for my needs.
So I asked them to exchange or refund, their customer service response was extremely rude and unhelpful. Even though all of the frames were untouched (besides one that had only been opened, but not used), they automatically said they’d be deducting 30% and charging a “restock” fee of £80. They also refused to collect the frames and stated that I’d need to pay to send them back, these costs went into the hundreds and calculated to be almost more than I paid for the frames in the first place. They were completely unapologetic, and rude.
If you decide to buy items from this company think twice. Choose a more reputable supplier like Wicks or B&Q, who will treat you correctly and handle exchanges or returns in the right way and not hold you for ransom. I lost over £500 dealing with this company. Their rudeness was beyond unprofessional and they don’t care about their customers.
I wish I never purchased from them in the first place. Beware! I would usually never leave a bad review, but I feel the public needs to be warned.
