Arrived quickly and soon sorted

Arrived quickly and soon sorted.
Our garage door had snapped a cable so couldn't be opened and closed normally. I contacted Tom's Garage Doors and they were able to come that day which was such a relief - and they arrived within a few hours of me raising the request. After a brief inspection of the problem, I was given 3 options of increasing cost and complexity: replacing just the cable with a year's guarantee on that cable; replacing the moving parts including both cables, spring box, etc including 5 years warranty on all of those; or replacing the whole door with a brand new one. I chose the middle option - it was still more expensive than I'd hoped, but it does have a good guarantee period and was much less than the new door so I thought that was the best option for me.

Quick,effective response

Answered phone call quickly, arranged appointment, call out charge v reasonable, engineer punctual, and sent notification within hour of arrival.
Assessed problem, resolved quickly and showed me how to resolve myself if occurred again.
However, as problem intermittent may occur again and may need to replace controls which is expensive.
