Tax Relief Advocates were able to resolve our tax debt with a very minimum amount owed to IRS. We are very pleased with the out come and would highly recommend using them. I cannot get anyone to return my phone call and I have not recieved any updates for over 2 months. I still keep getting threatening letters from the irs but all I get is trapped answering service when I call.have I been scammed by this company?

Talking with the original people about the back taxes and the different programs available was great and having a Resolution Officer to through the process and I wanted to pay off the fee assp. When I had some questions from time to time my Resolution Officer would answer or was able to direct me to where I can get the answer. Everyone was very nice and was helpful. They did a great job except the last person who I think was the person to negotiate what I owe. They were supposed to reduce at least my interest or payed reduce what I owe. es
All that was done is to arrange an installment plan. I payed, Total of All Fees: $5,640.50. I could of talked to IRS myself and give them $5000.00 and be further ahead. I also wasn’t happy with the close out letter as it was lacking some information. All the last person said was if I am current about the close out letter that I could call IRS and talk to the agent he spoke to and gave me his name and his agent number.

Everyone I worked with was very kind and helpful. It took a while but in the end I did have my OIC accepted by the IRS and I am very happy with that.

The professionals have been really good with me even though my case is a little bit complicating. But They are working very diligently to solve all my issues and so far it’s working great and Sylvia is a rockstar.

NOTE- Many of the reviews below that give 3 stars or better are all about initial contact, communication of the process. That's good, but NOT the real reason you should be writing a review. It should be about END RESULTS & OUTCOMES. Has anyone ever gotten their actual TAX DEBT reduced? If you haven't- the REVIEW should be placed when your transaction is done w/ them & NOT before then. If they helped to reduce your tax debt- then a 5 would be appropriate, but if they haven't. Then you should be giving them a 1 star review! Important to note- the ones giving a 5 star review- could be an actual employee of theirs too to boost their averages. So far- I have not seen anyone get their TAX Debt reduced- including myself! I tried ATS Tax Group too & lost $4500 of my own money for the service that they said they'll do, but didn't. Optima Tax Relief sucks too. Best to go on irs.gov & ask for an Offer of Compromise. I think they're the only ones who can do anything. Forgiveness of your debt has to come directly from them through their website approval system.

I contracted tax relief advocates thinking I would get some questions answered. What a HUGE mistake within 30 seconds on putting my information on their contact me firm my phone started blowing up with phone calls AND text messages from over 10 people. I’ve told them I don’t want to be contacted by more than one person, they don’t care. It’s been 2 weeks and the calls and text won’t stop. I have blocked so many numbers it’s insane.

I signed with Tax Relief Advocates when wage garnishment became a real possibility. I was embarrassed about the whole situation, but the case manager treated it like a problem to solve, not something to judge, which is really important given the circumstances. I really liked their approach overall.
