Dreadful service

Dreadful service. Car came back in worse condition with things broken and a pair of mechanic’s gloves rolled up and left inside my cup holder of back seat!. Disgusting service. The worse garage I have ever been to

I also feel taken advantage of ( see a couple reviews below) it doesn’t outright say anywhere that when you sign up it’s automatically a 2 year subscription! Yes we must always read the fine print. I was in an accident in which the car was totaled and so could no longer use the service. Not to mention I never even used the rotation or anything else other than the tires. I asked if I could just pay off what I owed on the tires, they said no. I continued to make payments for a bit but then I couldn’t afford it, so I asked if I could make a payment plan to pay off the balance on my 2 year subscription that I was not using and that they were not providing absolutely ANY service of. They said no- they continue to try to charge me every day or every other day to the card on file. They won’t make payment arrangements, they won’t work with me at all even though I’m still offering to pay for a 2 year subscription that I only used about 6 months of, and paid on for about 9 or 11 months, I don’t recall at this point I have to look back in my emails. Scam!!!

I contacted them soon after the accident and continued to pay on it for a few months.
The “paperwork” they provided consisted of an invoice showing the full amount due and summary of the terms. It was not any special paperwork that helped with my insurance claim, just an invoice.

As I said in my review, I felt I had no choice and continued to pay them as I understood that I signed up for it wherever I overlooked the terms or not.
I have emails from the last several weeks going back and forth with “Treads” through their “help@“ email and requesting payment arrangements while explaining my “unique” situation and they just basically said too bad and that I just need to continue to pay on this subscription until paid up.
No payment arrangements are being accepted. I did overlook the 2 year subscription part when I signed up in March of 2023 so maybe they’re more obvious about it now, but I feel they should be subject to TILA. “Truth in lending act” since they are extending a credit of sorts.
Thanks for the reply Treads let me know if you’d like me to forward all my recent emails to your “help” email again, since it sounds like they were somehow lost.

Our subscription model includes a minimum 24-month agreement to ensure we can continue offering our services sustainably. We strive to be transparent about this during the sign-up process, and that was possibly overlooked during your signup. While we do provide the option to cancel by paying off the remaining balance or continue the subscription for its full term, we understand that every situation is unique.

According to our records, we provided you with the necessary paperwork to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement but have not heard from you in the last 5 months until your posting of this review.

It sounds like you've been through a lot, and we're sorry that our payment terms have added to your stress. Although our policies are in place to maintain fairness for all customers, we're always open to finding solutions when possible. Please contact us directly again so we can reassess your situation and explore any potential options.

They only care about money

I used Treads for my vehicle (at the time) and had no issues.. after selling that vehicle in April of 2024, I continued to pay my monthly service fee, even though I no longer use the service.. only 2 payments left.
Here's my issue...
I referred someone to Treads... after 5 months, she was in a vehicle accident and her car was "totaled"... she continued to pay the monthly fee even after no longer having the vehicle. Her financial situation changed and she could no longer pay the monthly fee.. She has spoken with several representatives from Treads in making payment arrangements, in the hopes they would stop trying to charge her card for past payments every ffew days... it's because of their unwillingness to work with her that I will never use or refer someone to use Treads in the future.

The servie is super convenient, bad warranty policy

The service is super convenient, but lately I have had some bad service My tire techs came out and plugged my tires twice in the shoulder of the tire instead of replacing and I ended up having to re-do a new subscription because they didn't carry my tire anymore

... I felt this was a rip off and I was taken advantage of..
I have a 4wd vehicle and needed 2 tires to be warranty replaced after I paid them off and was only given the option to buy 4 new tires, costing me $50 more a month again.. I am very disappointed in this.

App is extremely clunky

App is extremely clunky. It tries to do to too many things at once, random errors appear, time wasted, used to have great experiences with Treads, app wise now, Not great at all. I would prefer to use a website to do all of the tasks needed.

I liked treads at first

I liked treads at first but once I moved (and sold my car) it just became a massive hassle. I was also told for over a year that I wasn’t eligible for service because of where I moved only to be told last month (with 3 months left) that I could’ve gone to Firestone the entire time. It has potential but it wasn’t best for me.

Great Subsciption & Better CS!

I’ve had the subscription for 2+ years and only cancelled because I have a new car with a factory warranty.

This subscription is great, and they have superb customer service. Any time I’ve chatted with an agent, they’ve helped me get my issues solved efficiently and with ease. Will continue to recommend Treads to friends and family and look forward to returning when my warranty is up

We recently had a flat tire

We recently had a flat tire. I was able to get a hold of Treads and get someone out to put the spare on and get us back on the road within an hour. Also set up an appointment in their app for a crew to come out and replace the tire within a couple days and that all went very smoothly. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and competent. Exactly what I expected when I signed up for this service!
