Excellent support showing best in class customer service
After contacting twinkly support to trouble support an issue with lights not connecting to network I received several helpful step by step instructions by email to work out what the issue was. Eventually it came down to power supply being under powered. Twinkly have shipped a new power supply which is about to arrive. Very customer focused for an amazing product.

I have 4 Twinkly devices outside my house.
A tree, for the Christmas/New Year period.
Plus 3x permanently installed strings.
2x 250 strings and a 400 string across the front deck.
On Friday I turned on the lights for the Christmas season and the PSU on the 400 went pop.
I switched over with a PSU on a 250 to prove the fault and then started searching the internet to get a replacement. I sent an email to the Twinkly helpdesk, to be honest, not expecting a reply.
On Saturday I found an email asking for some details of the unit and PSU which I supplied not knowing their likely response as the unit is about 3 years old.
On Friday I received a replacement PSU free of charge sent to my home.

First off, how can you run a tech design company without offering phone support?
When we first bought this tree from Costco, the kids loved changing the patterns and colors. But this year, the connection stopped working, and tech support only communicates by email.
We've been emailing back and forth for three weeks now (( since Thanksgiving )), but they haven't resolved the issue. I've even sent them two videos showing the problem.
Christmas is right around the corner, and the kids are disappointed that they can't enjoy the tree we spent so much money on.
I wonder what one of the company owners or top managers would do if they were in the same situation?

Back up and running
After many years of continuous use 3 light strings power unit failed. We love the lights but they are expensive but Twinkly agreed to replaced all the power supplies. And today I got my first replacement and it works again, great product and great service

Even if only a few people read this message I hope to save you the pain of dealing with this company.
I ordered Christmas lights a little over a month ago, just to be told close to a week before Christmas that there was an error and the order would be dispatched in a few days, which essentially means I won't get the lights I ordered more than a month ago before Christmas. I Don't normally leave reviews but this has irritated me that much, whats the point of receiving Christmas lights after Christmas? The company is terrible and they don't even offer expedited delivery to resolve the issue. If I could give a negative star review I would, avoid this company unless you order 6 to 10 months in advance.

Mapping feature is awesome! Never seen anything like it.
I've had Twinkly lights since around 2021. Pro, Plus, Gen I, and Gen II. The lights are high quality. I am torn with my feelings towards them. The mapping feature is awesome. They hit it out of the park. I love it. The app and connection every year makes you want to smash the lights. Settings on your router/wifi have to be perfect. This year, 2025, I was informed they made some software changes to the app. If connectivity actually has become easier, then I would 5 star it.

4 Weeks later and nothing .. and now with 2 weeks till Christmas, I've received nothing but empty emails.
Dropped them an email after 7 business days and after chasing up 5 times I have received ...
- 3 x Escalating with Warehouse emails
- 1 x Escalating with Warehouse Manager email
- 4 x Empty "We care" platitudes ... without actually appearing to care enough to get anything resolved
- ZERO updates supplied by them without me following up
- ZERO estimated time frames for resolution
- ZERO new lights for Christmas

UPDATE: Claiming there were serious issues with the âDelivery Chainâ is probably misleading. Nothing was ever shipped or even a con note generated.
They ended up crediting 1 and saying they could ship the other, and then they credited that 2nd one 3 days before Xmas.

Difficult to return lights that don't workâŠ
I love the lights and how they are able to change colors with the app. I have a couple $1,000 invested in these lights. Every year a string will only light up half of it, the other half being black. Customer service is very difficult to try to return the lights. They want you to try all these different things which doesn't work. Finally, I was able to get a replacement for one of my lights. I have many that have not worked and I've just had to throw them away.

Support team is thorough when their products fail, but they don't try to "get you" on technicalities. I own 10 strings. I have had some fail. When they do, they have been replaced if they are within the 1st year of use.
