Outstanding support from day 1. James and his team tirelessly helped me to solve my issue with technology with a friendly, efficient and attentive approach. I strongly recommend the Hammock platform, I am very impressed.

We previously used spreadsheets for a modest portfolio but MTD was the turning point. We are also Xero users for company accounts, but Hammond offers property management features and reminders which help us keep our house in order (no pun intended). I have been in the software industry for more than 40 years and can honestly say the software was incredibly easy to set up. However, when I have needed guidance, the responses have been accurate, to the point and helpful straight away with little wait time. Sooo refreshing!

I am an accountant ACMA (sole practitioner) and have a number of rental clients. Today one of my elderly clients who have never even used a web browser started using Hammock software for her rental properties (both standard and FHL) instead of manual handwritten sheets of paper.
She arrived in a pannic, stressed out and worried. After 2.5 hours she left with the biggest smile and zero stress.
She is over the moon with this software that is specifically for landlords. I have a number of landlord clients and they will all be on Hammock within the month. Setting up is so straitforward I did not even have to watch the tutorial videos. It is intuitive and has some great features.

After some research, and an online Q&A with them, I opted to use Hammock as my accounting software for my property income reporting for MTD. As is to be expected there is some initial set up to enter all the required property information which I found intuitive and straightforward to do. Having entered all the information the software gives additional useful information that I wasn't getting with my simple spreadsheets. Linking the software to bank accounts and then subsequently to HMRC was an easy task. I have a small number of properties that I own jointly with a colleague and the software allows for split ownership portfolios, reporting my share of the income and expenses combined with my solely owned portfolio properties. Hammock is a great system with helpful and friendly user support.

I’ve been using Hammock for nearly 3 years now. It was recommended to me by my accountant and I can’t help feeling it’s done them out of business. Hammock is really easy to use and within a day or so I was running my rental business (22 properties) with massively more clarity. I feel I can expand - which I certainly couldn’t before. It more than paid for itself in the first year when I used it to bring together the figures I needed for the previous tax year’s submission and it picked up a large insurance charge that I’d completely missed. I dreaded having to learn (and pay for!) Xero or another of the big generalised accounting packages and I’ve been excited to find this easy-to-use and cheaper package which is specifically for landlords.

We are carrying out a comparison of software to meet MTD for landlords. In terms of design and ease of use Hammock is by far the best option being tailored for landlords' business. In contrast Xero, always top of the Google search, is impractical and very difficult to configure correctly (no support or help).

The really impressive part is the support - excellent guides, videos and outstanding email support from James Kilpatrick.

I have signed up to Hammock in anticipation of HRMC MTD coming in next year.
I absolutely love the App and the website. They are both really easy to use.
I have even signed up for the MTD pilot and submitting the quarterly report is really simple.
When I first read that I was going to have to do MTD next year I was a bit worried, but now I feel confident that I am fully prepared thanks to Hammock.

As a landlord with several properties, I have been looking for a software program that is not just for accounting, but for the needs of a working landlord. I have been with Xero for the past 5 years, and while this software is a great accounting tool, it lacks that landlord touch. Hammock has all the extras that make using it, in my view, far more landlord-friendly. Hammock allows for more details that, as a landlord, I want to record. mortgage payment, rent payment date, and tracking any payment that hasn't been completed. Also, very importantly, the customer service has been excellent. I have been firing off emails with numerous questions, all have been answered with pictures. It is always a worrying experience starting to use Accounting software, but for MTD, Hammock is a very good choice

So, apart from my trusty mobile phone and the occasional letter in Microsoft Word, I’ve never really had much experience with computer software. When MTD was announced, I was completely clueless! Not being one to procrastinate, we decided to start looking into accounting software options. After weeks of research, we stumbled upon Hammock, which seemed to be more tailored to our needs as landlords.

We decided to give it a try on the 30-day free trial, and let me tell you, what I thought would be a daunting task turned out to be an enjoyable, easy, and exciting journey! I wish I had known about this landlord management software years ago.

Their support team has been absolutely fantastic. They’ve been incredibly responsive and knowledgeable, especially Matt, who has guided us through the entire process step by step.

The “how to” guides are clear, practical, and genuinely helpful — no jargon, just straightforward advice. What really sets Hammock apart is the customer support. There’s a real person at the end of the phone when you need that extra bit of help, and they’re always friendly and knowledgeable.

highly recommend hammock. from being sceptical about trying digital entries (thanks to the government we have no choice now) it is a revelation. dead easy to use with a bit of practice (way less than feared) their help options are great and quick, even if you need to call the old fashioned way! very happy.

I had got my accounts in a pickle by not allocating them correctly meaning that my bank accounts didn’t reconcile correctly.
I booked an appointment with Hammock - Matthew Perkins and he was truly AMAZING unraveling what to me was a terrible mess and overwhelming - he corrected all for me and showed me some tricks and tips along the way to speed up my inputs.
I can’t thank Matthew enough for his time, knowledge and getting my bank account back to where it should be.

Hammock is absolutely brilliant for Rental. I have 15 Properties and I have been using it for about two years. It is so easy to allocate monies and most importantly it gives you notice on when gas/EICR/EPC are due. Normally a few months before then you get reminders the closer you get. Honestly I couldn’t recommend it more. If you do get any queries the support team are brilliant.

I am very new to Hammock but very impressed so far. Their customer service is exceptional. I had a reply to an email that I sent on a Sunday evening before 7am the next day, and it was a Bank Holiday too!

Im a landlord with 35 rental properties who was previously using excel spreadsheets for both my rental accounting and my end of year accounts and feeling the burden of this. I wanted to find a software program that was specifically tailored for property income, not over complicated and compliant with MTD. Hammock stands out because its very competitively priced, easy to navigate and most importantly for me has OUTSTANDING customer service. To be able to send an email and schedule a zoom call often within 24 hours with a real person to sort out any issues I may have is invaluable. I have tried Zero and Quickbooks but found the interface far too confusing and no-one out there when you run into problems or there is a technical clitch. Hammock are helpful and friendly and the program has all the functions I require to run my business including receipt capture, automatic tracking of bank transactions and tenancy rent accounts. I am pleased to know I am ready for MTD next April and it was very easy to link my accountant into the platform so tax submissions have now got even easier! Happy customer.

Very impressed with Hammock thus far. It has proven to be a great app for managing our rental properties and only yesterday, we just submitted our trial MTD return to HMRC as part of the pilot. So far, so good!

I am nervous about MTD and the implications if things go wrong. So I was keen to start sooner to get used to the process. Hammock was recommended to me and I’m very pleased with my decision. There is plenty of help to get going (first month free, tutorials, videos, and personal contact when you need it). As with all software, it takes a bit of time to get used to it. But it is intuitive and designed for landlords. You can report any niggles to them and they undertake to resolve. It’s obviously evolving to meet users’ needs. The first big milestone was yesterday when I submitted my first quarterly return. Matt was really helpful, guiding me through the process with zoom, phone and text. Thank you so much!
