Amazing Experience!

India was a pleasure to be my salesperson, she was kind, affectionate and overall SO welcoming, made each and every bit of the experience matter and i highly recommend you give this place a look.

Had a turn around of less than a week which was also really great and communication was SPOT ONNN.

Thomas was so helpful and patient from the start ! I must have changed my mind a million times and even brought along most family members to help make a decision so I’m sure he was just relived I actually bought one ! Super friendly and great service !

Tom (Matthews) was our sales member, he was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Both friendly and professional.
Nothing was ever too much trouble, he kept us updated throughout the whole process from choosing the spec when ordering the car to taking delivery.
Definitely the best experience I have had at VW Hereford for a long time.

Picked up my first EV from VW in Hereford this week. Not my first new car from them but first time change to completely electric. Anxieties about change to driving an automatic were understood and a supported drive around the local area before I left was provided. Paperwork completed electronically this time and well supported by salesperson. Vertu were helpful when I needed help with the electronic signature links. Encouraged to ring with questions about charging etc, lots of support offered.

Vicky and Ellis was very professional throughout, Vicky quoted about 1,001 different cars and specs before we found the one and offered an excellent service. Vicky was then going to be off the following day and passed the details over to Elliot, Elliot took over the sale brilliantly as if he had been on board from the start and made sure the whole process run smoothly. He even managed to source the exact car we wanted from another branch, registered delivered it to Hereford and prepped it all in the space of 4 working days, pretty impressive if you ask me!!!! This car was for my partner, but purely because of the service, I will be coming back to deal with Elliot and Vicky once my car needs an upgrade shortly. Keep up the great work!!!!

Was an extra nice touch that the sales manager Jason personally come to thank us for the business before we left and Ellis called me the day later to check we got home safe and the car was what was expected and to ask if I had any other questions.

It’s service like this that unfortunately is very rare to come across and makes it even nicer once you come across it.

I will also say the team were not pushy, they explained my options and once I said no, this was it. I have walked away from many sales in the past because of this behaviour, so it was nice this didn’t happen here.

I am absolutely delighted with the sales customer service from India, at Hereford. India is very efficient and effective, making sure that it every detail for a smooth transaction and delivery were clearly explained and completed. Visited today for my first service after buying an Amarok from here last year. Everyone was super helpful, friendly and understanding. Hereford Volkswagen (part of the Vertu group) dealt with the purchase of my new VW T-Roc swiftly and professionally in a friendly manner. They weren't pushy and didn't try to sell us extras that we didn't ask for / need and explained everything clearly and to our satisfaction. Jordan was so friendly and helpful and was genuinely interested in helping my daughter find a suitable vehicle within her price range that met her growing family needs . He was super patient and explained everything in detail to help her make an informed decision. I was really impressed with his non- pushy manner and I was so grateful for his help. He went above and beyond at every stage of the process.
In addition he also gave me support to upgrade my car during a recent VIP event and again went through the finance options several times to make sure I was completely happy with my decision .
I absolutely love my new car which I picked up today .
India also helped during my consultation and was super friendly with her relaxed manner and explained all the techi stuff clearly and answered all my questions with kindness and patience .
During the completion of the sale both Jordan and India went above and beyond when I experienced problems with links and were just brilliant . They worked seamlessly together and made me feel super special and nothing was too much trouble. When I went to pick up my new car it had a great big bow on the bonnet in the showroom. 🥹

Fantastic service received from the Vertu VW van centre in Hereford. The whole team, especially Matthew were exceptional. First class communication, going above and beyond in customer service and I have no hesitation in recommending their services.

Dealt with Chris Harrison and he was brilliant from start to finish. Very informative and helped me find my lovely new car. Would highly recommend him. Also, Ellie from the service department was excellent at looking after us when both our cars were booked in for a service. Overall a great experience!

Quite possibly THE worst dealership in Hereford. I have had 3 cars from this dealership and had nothing but hassle with each of them. Trying to get ahold of Richard the manager is like trying to get past a receptionist at a GP surgery.

To also be mis sold PCP finance on my current vehicle aswell as the other issues I have had with it and they aren't willing to help deal with the situation. Infact they offered a figure for my vehicle which is incredibly insulting.

They are definitely not customer inclined and have given me the worst experience. I will not get another vehicle from this dealership and others should be aware of their dishonestly and lack of empathy.

Looking for a new car then I would recommend Vertu Hereford. Great professional friendly service. Dealt with Chris Harrison who was a pleasure to do business with from test drive through to being handed the keys on pick-up day. Thanks Chris.

Very happy with the vehicle and service provided.
Upon enquiring for a van I was contacted the next day by Kieran J. Kieran was happy to help with any questions or concerns I had about the vehicle, and I'm probably not the easiest customer he's had, but he handled everything very well and even went above and beyond to take additional photos and videos of the vehicle for me.
Picking up the vehicle was a smooth and quick process, and even helped me with a concern about my wife's VW golf.

Had a minor issue with the van once I got it home, but Kieran was on it and covered all costs under warranty with no questions or headaches for me.

Really glad I chose VW Hereford, even though it was a solid 3.5 hour drive getting there from Halifax, definitely well worth it.

Poor Service and Overpricing Experience

I recently took my car to this garage for routine servicing, as usual. During the inspection, they identified two issues: a washer pipe leak and a non-urgent brake fluid change. I was quoted £165 (including labor, materials, and VAT) for these repairs. I agreed and returned two weeks later for the work to be done.

Additionally, I asked them to investigate a “Proactive Passenger Protection: Function Restricted” warning on the dashboard, which appeared after the servicing. They informed me that a diagnostic test was required, costing £165—far higher than the national average of £50. Despite my concerns, I reluctantly agreed to the test.

After completing the diagnostic, they claimed the seat belt needed replacement and quoted an astonishing £800 for the repair. This price was shocking, especially since my research showed the cost, including diagnostics, should be no more than £100-£150. Naturally, I refused to proceed with the repair.

To make matters worse, they tried to overcharge me £100 for the washer pipe and brake fluid work, despite the original quote of £165. Only after challenging them did they reduce the bill to the agreed amount.

I am extremely dissatisfied with their inflated pricing, which is significantly higher than national averages or even what might be expected from larger garages. Going forward, I will use this garage only for routine servicing covered by my service plan. For any additional repairs, I’ll turn to smaller, local garages with fairer pricing.

Well what can I say about the service I received? Nothing short of exemplary. I was very interested in a range of vehicles, so i had many calls from sales folk. I ended up getting a call off Luke Hockham, looked at my phone and was thinking to myself, I can't be bothered with another call. So pleased I did, he was fantastic. Understanding of my situation, my budget, the miles I do. Helped with my decision to get either PCP depending on conditions, like type of car, spec, price etc or buy a used one. I had decided to get a skoda octavia Estate, however the car i really wanted was a superb estate. He said he had quite a log go go on, before getting back to me a day or 2 later. Luke went out of his way, scowered his stock, found me a brand new unregistered skoda superb estate in Darlington. Within budget, with the spec I wanted and with me doing 18k miles a year. Luke had organised a video for me within an hour, had an appointment booked for me to view it and test drive the same car with same engine that day. Lots of emails, lots of calls from me to him, all answered, even though alot of them were probably silly. A great asset to the company and recommend if you're after a car, speak to him. Absolutely no pressure, no silly sales techniques
