Didn’t have me booked in, they didn’t have my room booked either and told me they’d have to move me. I told them that was something they needed to resolve as I had it in writing I had everything booked they needed booking. Employees shared a lot of alarming information about the culture of the business and certain management and senior leadership and the downfall of the Vindis name and brand.

I bought a 2019 Audi A7 from these stealers in November 2023. Instantly the car had issues which they tired to fix numerous times.
I rejected the car 3 weeks later to which they declined.
I had the car independently inspected who stated it had been in a major crash and very poorly repaired. They deemed the car to be non road worthy.
Taking all this into consideration Audi Vindis didn’t take the car back and didn’t refund.
14months later, yes 14months later, I have had a refund purely by going through the finance company, Motor Ombudsman and Financial Ombudsman service.
I’ve met horrible people in my life. But non as horrible as the Service Manager, Josh and the branch Manager James.
If you don’t want to be dragged through hell and back, and be called a liar… DO NOT BUY FROM VINDIS AUDI.
My ordeal at the hands of these crooks has put me off buying an Audi ever.

Well avoid Vindis Audi at Peterborough like the plague. Bought a year old Q8 ETRON that's where it went wrong, supposedly checked however one section of the charging lead was incorrect, emails sent pictures sent. then had to take it in to "prove" was wrong hmm I install EV chargers so no when its wrong. was like watching 3month old kids trying to put a square peg in a round hole! no puncture repair kit but the 3rd chap I spoke to told me I probably had self inflating tyres? part was supposedly ordered a month ago despite numerous calls as they always seem to be on training courses it still hasn't arrived. AVOID AT ALL COST
Scratched window when purchasing.
I recently purchased a car from Vindis Bedford. Spent nearly 30k. Unfortunately the car has a scratched passenger window which we didn’t notice until we got the car home. It took a few emails and chasing the salesman and I went down to Audi Vindis Bedford to see if they could buff it out. They tried but it’s still very noticeable and may affect the MOT. The gentleman refused to replace the window so I now have to pay to do so. I would maybe expect this service from a car supermarket but not a main dealer, neither do I expect the car to be perfect with no marks but selling one with scratches down a window is really bad and not replacing it. It isn’t great. I would try Milton Keynes Audi if looking to purchase one in future or really check the car with a fine tooth comb. Unfortunately on the day we bought it the weather wasn’t favourable so was hard to notice. I wouldn’t buy an Audi from here again.

When you buy a car you want to put your trust into a main dealer such as Seat Vindis. I entrusted them and bought a 2018 Seat Leon FR from them in good faith. It was agreed at the point of sale with Harvey (sales rep) that the front shock absorbers would be replaced as part of the deal along with an advisory free MOT. So I thought fair enough and did the deal.
Fast forward 4 months of ownership I take my car to another Seat main dealer for a service who do a complimentary health check, to my horror inform me that both front shocks need immediate replacement due to heavy leaking aswell as all 4 brake discs being heavily lipped scored and have excessive corrosion below minimum requirement. So how did it pass an MOT with no advisories 4 months ago?
The best bit is the front shocks and brakes were advisories from May 2023 MOT! So they have not MOT’d the car at all!
Of course I raised this issue to be met with being ignored and laughed at by members of the sales team. The sales manager Jason was conveniently never available to discuss these problems that were present and not sorted at point of sale.
I tried for a full rejection and rightly so which was refused by Vindis Seat.
My advice to anyone thinking of purchasing a car from these COWBOYS…. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
In the end I’ve had to sell the car back to them for £1700 less than what I paid for it.
Disgusting company. BE PREPARED IF YOU DO BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS COMPANY THERES A VERY GOOD CHANCE IT WILL BE DANGEROUS. AGAIN THEY DONT CARE. Avoid.

On Monday 10th February I made an enquiry about a car that was advertised on Autotrader. I was told the car was still at their preparation centre but they would arrange a viewing as soon as it was on site which they anticipated would be within a day or two. They said they would keep me updated but I heard nothing and had to call them. They kept saying it would be available shortly and they would contact me. This continued over the next several days. I contacted them again and pointed out the car was still being advertised and now at a lower price. They told me the car was STILL at the preparation centre but they said they would reserve it until I had a chance to view it. Finally it would be on site on Friday 21st could I come in then? I couldn’t make Friday but we arranged a viewing today (Saturday) at 2pm. We turned up only to be kept waiting for nearly half an hour. I asked what was happening and eventually got transferred to a different salesman who had no idea what we were there for. When we told him we were there to test drive the car. He said it had been sold!!! HOW CAN IT BE SOLD WHEN IT WAS NOT ON SITE UNTIL YESTERDAY AND RESERVED FOR US TO VIEW AND TEST DRIVE!!! Vindis Audi Northampton will not be getting any future business from me.

Final Verdict – Avoid Vindis Cambridge & VW Approved Cars
If you buy from Vindis Cambridge Volkswagen, be prepared for disappointment:
❌ No accountability from the dealership
❌ Zero after-sales support
❌ Cases closed instead of resolved
❌ Delays, excuses, and more delays
My issue was resolved—but only because I took legal action. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere. The VW Approved badge is nothing more than a sales tactic. Don’t be fooled.
Never buy from main dealer
When buying a car from vindis if you are using as a vehicle for hire or reward .. the extended 2 year warranty is worthless. Don’t be fooled buy the slick salesman as you are paying about £4000 over the price of a privately sold car b cause you hand been told you get a full 2 year or 100000 mile warranty… unfortunately this is not the case .. when the adas camera in mine stopped working and was beeping every 2 seconds was told that the warranty I thought I had was not going to covering this fault as I use car as a taxi … this was after they said I had gone over the 100000 miles which was not the case the 1st time it went to vindis with the camera fault …. In short stay away from main dealer
Booked a test drive about a week ago…
Booked a test drive about a week ago and finally got confirmation yesterday for today. We turned up 10 mins early and was asked to wait by someone slouching in their chair with a tie loose around his neck.
After a while someone sloped over asking if I was the person that wanted to look inside the car. I responded by confirming my test drive at 2pm, to be told nonchalantly that they don't do test drives on the car they have in. No sense of apology, more of a shrug.
We have a £100k budget for a new electric car. We've test driven Porsche, BMW, Volvo and KIA. All were excellent, and interested (as they should be). Not these clowns. They made us feel like we were there to sell to them and in the way of their day.
I won't spend a penny on Audi because of them. Well done!

I bought Audi's top of the range car from Vindis, and they are good at selling, but this is how your treated after….
My car pinged up an electrical fault and this couldn’t be fixed by Audi assist so the car was taken in to Vindis Audi the next day. I was told that the problem had been found and fixed but the service department said they would like to keep the car for a couple of days to make sure the errors didn`t return.
When my car was returned to me, I noticed that the fuel tank was almost empty (the car had about half a tank before) and also the rear parking camera was now not working. I went back to Vindis hoping for an easy fix, but no, had to book in again.
The next day I drove into my local town. After parking I was approached by a couple who then proceeded to accuse me of anti-social behaviour and dangerous driving claiming that I had driven my car dangerously through the town centre (which is partially pedestrianised) and that now they have my registration number, they would be reporting me to the police. I had no idea what they were talking about! I decided to viewed the dash cam footage of my car being returned to me and was stunned to see my car being driven through the town centre in a very erratic and potentially dangerous manner. The driver was persistently driving in first gear and revving the engine and then backing off creating a lot of noise and disturbance to the people who live there and those walking in the high street. The car was also driven in the same manner through another local Town high street too.
I continued to watch and found that whoever was driving my car broke the speed limit on numerous occasions and at one point hit 110 mph in the rain! The car cost me a fortune and to have alleged professionals show this little regard for safety/damage to my car, other road users and pedestrians is shocking. I later found out that he was an Ex-traffic police officer!!.....No official apology.
I’ve also had the car back after warranty work and services and had engine bay lights not working, bolts left half out, panels left loose and an engine overfilled with oil which all required returns to the dealer.
I then discover a fault in the paintwork. When this was reported to Vindis the service man said it was due to stone chips before he’d even looked at it!
He then proceeded to look at the faults through a “special body work magnifier”……..this turned out to be a kids toy microscope that you can buy from Amazon for £10…….he treated me like a complete moron and disregarded everything I said. I eventually got an Audi approved body shop representative to see the problem…………..that took 5 months! During that time, I called multiple times to find out when this was going to happen only to be told the person I needed to speak to was busy or on holiday, and that someone would call me back, but I never got any calls back.
Another time, after getting my car back after some service work, i discovered a dent on the rear n/s wing!
This dent was protruding from inside the wing, as if someone had hit the underside of the wing with something heavy. This was repaired, again, after a lot of wasted time and effort and, again, I didn’t get any official apology, just a young apprentice mumbling “sorry”, because the service manager was clearly too scared to face the music.
I have wasted so much of my life chasing, phoning and returning to this dealer because of poor workmanship, and for resolutions to problems that are not of my making. I was told only “Master Technicians” are allowed to work on my model of car……If this is an example of a Master Tech, then God knows what their regular tech’s are like!!
This whole experience has been a horror show, and Vindis Audi in Cambridge, have been the main protagonists.
I have spoken to a couple of mechanics who left Vindis and they said they left because of very poor work practises and shoddy workmanship. Cutting corners and not doing the job properly to save money seems to be the Vindis way.
How can Audi allow a main dealer to be this incompetent. Avoid!!
Absolutely no response
Took my Fabia to the Waterbeach service centre for an oil service. When I arrived I mentioned that the key fob low battery warning was showing. The staff member confirmed that the car would be washed and that a video of the car would be sent to my phone. When I was told the car was ready, I asked about the key fob only to find that the service dept was unaware of the problem. They didn't send the video either. I went out to the car, and found that it hadn't been washed. Finally, the car had been left in gear with the radio on. I complained via the Vindis website and received an email saying they would respond. I heard nothing and sent another complaint three days later, again getting email confirmation. Then I had a phone call, the staff member said my original complaint had gone missing and the service dept would ring me shortly. I am still waiting....

Paid for a part and was to be left at the sales dask but this useless team of amateurs could not even arrange and organise that.
Took money straight away but didn't deliver.
So disorganised
A 20 minute 'wait while we fix it' appointment at the Waterbeach service centre took 2.5 hours ... because their 'system' said it was a drop off appointment ... which it was not what was booked - and they failed to tell me this until 2.5 hours has elapsed. They then have no email address or phone numbers to register a complaint. Please try to use another dealer.

What an awful experience with the Milton Keynes SEAT sales team. Brought my car nearly three years ago - couldn’t fault the sales process. However, found out in October 24 that the spare key provided during the handover process is not actually the key to my car! Being stuck on a lonely dual carriageway at 6.30am is really not the time to find this out! However, since then I’ve been requesting a spare key that actually works. Numerous emails to the sales advisor that just get ignored, finally speak to the Sales Manager who promises to investigate. Responds with an explanation that ‘the key was ordered but as I never turned up to collect it, the service team returned it’. Talk about insulting my intelligence. Would prefer them to be honest and say ‘we messed up. Sorry’. They never tried to contact me to tell me the key was there (it wasn’t) and they also couldn’t explain where they would have returned it to!
Anyway, Sales Manager commits to resolving this as priority and will keep in contact but definitely within 2 weeks. That was three weeks ago and I’m still waiting.
Just a dreadful experience. It’s a key. It’s not hard. Vindis please just sort it! It’s your error and it really shouldn’t be this difficult for you to rectify it.

Bought a brand new car from this dealership a few months ago. The staff were all very polite and helpful. I also part exchanged my old vehicle, the price they quoted on the phone was the price they paid on the day. Unlike others who try and find pathetic reasons to lower the price. I would definitely recommend them and also use them for my next purchase.

Avoid this garage they ll treat u with the worser way , as an evidence u have they ll delete your emails that you send to them !!! They ll treat t u like people from the road , speaking rude , 0 tolerance and 0 respect . Keep lying and promising to help and as a result the departments with each other have no idea what’s going on there .

Terrible dealership i took my car there
for warranty work for travel assist problems and they said it was the rear lane assist rear module and they stripped down my bumper but they had misdiagnosed the problem because it was a more simple issue and they charged me for their labour mistake,
They broke my bumper clips and didn’t even refit my bumper properly to think this is a VW main dealer i will be taking this further to head office and the Ombudsman.
Update i took my car back to VW bedford to rectify the problem with the bumper and when i collected my car i checked over my car and they straightened the bumper and i thought happy days they have sorted that problem and as i got in my car to my astonishment i noticed they had changed my steering wheel and removed the new steering wheel they changed under warranty for the travel assist problem with a old scratched steering wheel i went in and spoke to the parts manager her name is Ellen and she told me we are taking our steering wheel back because i’ve made a complaint to VW uk about the damaged bumper obviously i kicked up a serious fuss and Dan the head manager came down and he immediately took my car back in and got the new steering wheel back on and i must say he is actually lovely person and sorted the situation out for me,
but this dealership as a whole and some of the staff are actually unbelievable. I can’t believe how they’ve treated me and I’ll be going back to VW uk and the Ombudsman to report the situation.

Every one bar one occasion of my car going in for service or something else there has been an issue over the past nearly 3 years.
This time I booked it on for an oil change, they weren’t able to facilitate for 2 months which is almost on the deadline of going over the 1000 miles limit. Last week I get a medical appointment, I called them and explained the situation, they were less than helpful and was told the next date they can do the oil change is Feb 25. I explained my situation further, in short they were useless so I asked for a call back from the manager. (This was Thursday morning) no call back so I called in again on the Friday and asked to speak to the branch manager, the person said he’s a new manager, he’s in a meeting but would call me back later. (Again no call back)
This company really are the low of the low, when my vehicle needs changing in a few months I will be looking elsewhere even if I have to drive completely out of area or alternatively choose a different vehicle type.
