We had high hopes for this platform, but unfortunately our experience has been disappointing.
The product was presented to us as a user-friendly solution that our team could implement and use without heavy technical involvement. In reality, it has proven to be far more IT-dependent and complex than originally communicated.
As a result, we have not been able to effectively use the platform or launch campaigns, which means weâve received little to no value despite being under a long-term agreement.
While support has been sort of responsive, the core issue is not onboarding, itâs that the product does not align with how it was positioned during the sales process.
At this point, we cannot recommend this solution for teams looking for a straightforward, low-lift optimization platform nor will they let us out of an agreement that we do not use whatsoever.
They keep spamming me with a fake renewal of a starter plan, which is a free plan. So they make me think I pay for something thatâs free. I told them already to stop spamming me but they keep doing it. Really bad company. I switched to posthog anyway, much better.

Incredibly intrusive sales tactics. I've never signed up on their website for anything, nor have ever received an email from them. When I accessed their Pricing page for me to compare them to alternative similar companies, within 15 minutes they've somehow used Cookies to identify who I was!
In those 15 minutes, I received a phone call, a Linkedin request, and an email to my work email address, stating that they "noticed" I was looking at their Pricing page. I was accessing from home, NOT on a company network.
Again, I had NEVER submitted my email address to this company, and it must have simply because I accepted their Cookies and god knows what kind of tracking is happening. But I would NEVER have believed they could identify **EXACTLY** who I was through their Cookies simply by visiting one of their pages. Absolutely disgusted and creeped out.
I'm being pretty generous with the two stars. Overall, it was a disappointment. Their sales pitch and onboarding were very good (hence the two stars) but things went downhill fast. Here were the two big issues:
1. Their UI lets you configure a lot of useful things, but if you are not on their top-level plan, it's not possible to get access critical parts of the data! So, you set everything up thinking that you'll get some valuable results, but then you're expected to go premium to access it. Bait and switch!
2. I wanted to set up A/B testing around an event that was centered on an HTTP POST. No luck. I couldn't get anywhere with support and ultimately they told me, "Sorry, it doesn't work this way." Unfortunately, that workflow was my most critical. I got frustrated and stopped using it. I've been advising other companies to stay away after this experience.
I've been using VWO for our conversion rate optimization (CRO) efforts, and overall, I'm very impressed. One of the standout features of VWO is its seamless integration of multiple optimization techniques, such as A/B testing, session recordings, heatmaps, and web surveys. The ability to combine these tools is incredibly valuableâ for instance, we can watch session recordings of users who gave low ratings on our surveys, which provides deeper insights into their behavior.
Another great aspect is the regular support we receive from VWO. We have consistent check-in calls where their team helps us build A/B tests and actively suggests new testing ideas, which has been invaluable for our optimization strategy.
The only challenge we've encountered so far is with the revenue tracking implementation for A/B tests, but we're in the process of resolving it, and Iâm confident it will be sorted soon.
Overall, VWO has been a powerful tool in our CRO toolkit, and I highly recommend it.
After Google Optimize' sunsetting, VWO became my team's choice for Experiments and Personalization. Tool is easy to use, the servicing and support team led by Siddhant were responsive and helped us to generate new ideas. VWO has also begun incorporating AI features, demonstrating their desire to stay cutting edge. I would recommend VWO to any team starting out in their Experiments journey.

We've been using VWO for a few years now, and compared to other tools on the market out there, I've found VWO to still tick all the boxes. We've yet to try out their personalisation tools but their A/B Testing Tools, Heatmaps, Scroll Depth maps, screen recordings cross device have been instrumental in improving our customer experience online. A huge shout out to our Customer Success Manager Siddhant, who's been an absolute gun, has always gone above and beyond with helping our team succeed.
We worked on few UX changes on the website and wanted to monitor and track the conversions, after enabling VWO for our A/B test we could identify which changes brought us more conversions and also helped us to make changes based on metrics and analysis of Heat-maps generated by VWO.

I've been using VWO's AB Testing tool for a year now and have found that it has empowered our UX team to create AB tests ourselves with minimal technical knowledge. This allowed us to double the number of experiments we would typically run for the year and freed up our web development resources to work on other projects.
Support was always available when required and special thanks to our customer success manager, Vikas, who has always been attentive to our team and has made working with VWO a pleasure.
Data Driven CRO tests deliver wrong Data.
I did a simple splittest on Shopify. Product Page with Image Style A vs Product Page with Image Style B.
One has to say, Style B subjectively looks 100x better than A. So expected outcome was B to perform way better than A.
Overall numbers in Store went through the roof once test was started.
VWO though showed test A was performing better than B. Numbers felt really suspicious.
So i started manually tracking the sales.
I've let the test run for a week. 1000 Conversions on Variant B, 850 Conversions on Variant A --> manually tracked.
VWO showed that Variant A was almost equal to Variant B. So there is a massive tracking error.
I contaced support throughout the whole process, nothing - they said it would track correctly.
Well apparently it didn't. I launched the new version just yesterday... CR went up by 150%, revenue went up by 180%.....
Do not trust the numbers in VWO, please do a manual tracking before conducting a test is good or bad.

Countless bugs at every turn, frustrating and confusing UI, it continuously makes you keep redeploying scripts, and ultimately I am unable to launch AB tests, which was the main reason i purchased it. I hate to be so harsh, but this software 100% is not useable and I have wasted money paying for it. No wonder they don't give you an option to try for free.
Been trying to cancel for about a month, ignoring all communication, I will have to instruct the bank to cancel.

Why make it so hard? I like the service but I was really soured by the need to try and force me to stay
We decided to no longer use their product and there was no option in the interface to cancel. They then charged us one year of costs when we hadn't used their service in months. I then asked to cancel and they kept replying with let's set up a call to talk. When I asked for a refund they said it was not possible. Super frustrating that they are making us pay for a year of service we wont use.
The platform does an amazing job making all kinds of CRO tests easier to launch and evaluate. Besides, the support team is always available and willing to solve everything we need.
