A/B testing should not be done clientside

And definitely not by hiding all page content until your B-test setup is done (as VWO does by default).
Using VWO will slow your pages and provide a worse UX - completely trashing the good work your developers are doing to enhance performance on your site.

Great piece of kit

Great piece of kit, although there are a few limitations, whether that's a Shopify conflict i don't know but it does a good job none the less. It's not the cheapest but as I haven't tried other tools for CRO I cant say whether the value is there. I would recommend it.

Excellent support/communication

Even on Trial Period, clients are given support (thru chat/email). Queries were answered promptly and demo was done to ensure the correct usage of tools and features. Highly recommended.

Good idea, poorly implemented

It's a great idea, which would make lives easier for a lot of people in my field (digital marketing), but unfortunately the experience isn't the best. The tests aren't as simple to set up as they should be, the results are often corrupted, only a fraction of traffic gets recorded on heatmaps and moving around elements on different variations in A/B testing requires knowledge of code, if you want it done properly... otherwise elements just move around the page as and when they please, do not respond to screen resizing or do not appear at all. It would be terrific if everything run smoothly, but I have had experienced VWO in the past and had the same issues with not much support. This time round, the support is actually something I can't complain about as they were very quick to jump on a video call to try and resolve the issues.

I keep getting overcharged by this service. Their pricing has increasd by 500% since I started using them a couple years ago, but sadly there's no real replacement

So far so good

Lots of functionality for your surveys, A/B tests, personalization, funnels, goals and more. I just started using this and the support team has been helpful getting us ramped up. So far I recommend this platform to help make your online presence better
