I purchased a 4SO outdoor dining setâŠ
I purchased a 4SO outdoor dining set ((£2499) which has some slight damage to one of the table legs. I reported this to Webbs who simply referred me to their supplier - who ironically Webbs told me they have stopped doing business with!
I had to send numerous reminder e mails to Webbs (4SOâs insist that any guarantee issues - which this is not as the goods were defective when delivered - have to be dealt with via the retailer and they do not provide customers with a direct point of contact) asking what was happening.
The solution they have offered is to have 4SO supply me with a can of spray paint so I can repair the damage myself.
Needless to say Iâm not over the moon with the response from either Webbs or 4SOâs but maybe I need to manage my expectations? After all the set was only £2499!!

Plants arrived in very good condition and well packaged. One item was missing but when I called customer service they quickly dealt with it and scheduled a re-delivery. Excellent customer service and lovely plants.

I recently ordered two plants which were on a special offer. They arrived reasonably promptly and were so well packed that they were in perfect condition. The plants were bigger than I expected and absolutely beautiful. Extremely satisfied.

The staff within the garden centre and restaurant were very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable.
As continued customers at your garden centre we felt it prudent to just send an email to remark on the helpful and delightful member of staff who served us in the restaurant today . Rebecca was so pleasant with a very happy disposition as was a member of staff at the customer services desk; we are unsure of the member of staffâs name but she assisted us at approximately 1.30 pm today.
It is always a pleasure to frequent Webbs and with the helpful and happy greeting we receive we shall continue to do so.

Delivery took longer than expected , on arrival every plant was snapped, one plant snapped at root completely destroyed plants. Box was a disgrace when it arrived.

This is exactly how your retail experience should be. Just bought a Weber BBQ from Webbs at Wychbold, and Steve assisted us and was excellent. I recently purchased a couple of leucanthemum plants from Webbs and couldn't be happier.
The plants arrived in a few days in superb condition, well packaged to prevent damage and were actually much larger than my expectations.

Awful customer service
Purchased some garden furniture in store. The first issue was getting someone in store to answer my questions about the furniture and after asking 2 members of staff for help (who promised theyâd find someone), we waited nearly 15 minutes then had to go and look for someone. Lady on the desk was helpful and the furniture was delivered quickly.
However, the parasol base was missing so I went into store thinking it would be easier to be told they couldnât get access to the warehouse but would have it sent out via DPD next day delivery.
A week later no parasol base. Called customer services advised again they would send it out via DPD for when we returned from a holiday the following week.
Nearly a week after that still no parasol base. Called customer services was advised the same again, DPD next day and that I would receive confirmation of this.
Four days later (today) I called again as still no base. Was told it was due to be delivered within the next 2 hours. We were already out. Got home no card no communication.
Called the store and was told it was delivered to my neighbour. Great, or so I thought.
Opened the box and the base was cracked from one end to the other. Reported to customer services and told âit would be sortedâ.
You walk into a Webbâs garden centre and itâs full of beautiful things and itâs a lovely place to walk around.
However, the customer service is awful. I never thought somewhere like Webbâs would be like this and itâs completely put me off.
Whether or not I receive a response saying itâs sorted and Iâll get another base does not detract from what has happened. Itâs exhausting and time consuming having to chase people up to do what they should have done to start with. While staff members have been polite and professional thereâs been no apology or acknowledgement of the issues raised.

Ordered a lovely garden table and 6 chairs. Unfortunately the fixings bag had split and were in the bottom of the box and we had a few washers missing. Spoke to Andy who has helped arrange replacement washers. Appreciate the quick service.

Poor customer service
Asked for product dimensions, was told warehouse team would get back to me which they still havenât. Ordered bird bath anyway which arrived scratched, dented and is slanted when fully assembled. Packaging was damaged too. Emailed customer service that they will arrange a swapped item. No contact since then it is taking too long. Today I went on to the website to leave a review of the product, which has been removed from the website.
Update: 100% Refund offered

Hagley Centre. My Wife wasn't feeling too well and wanted a cold drink quickly. After a short time queuing in restaurant to purchase one, she was told she couldn't have it as it was "table service only". Seriously? Thanks for that.
Went to Cherry Lane for some customer service instead.

Unreliable online service.
Ordered a table. 1-2 days stated delivery time. Nothing arrived. Emailed customer services, took four days to reply. Told me the package was damaged in transit, did I want a replacement. I replied immediately, is it in stock. Next day the damaged table arrived, ripped packaging with bits falling out. Phoned and queried this, no apology, so I cancelled and asked for package to be picked up. Delivery company did not turn up on stated day. So the ripped, damaged package is still sitting on my drive over the weekend. All they said was that they were âvery busyâ. Arenât garden centres always busy in the spring? If you are that busy, donât say delivery in 1-2 days.
