.com price increase on my account with 600 domains goes up to 14+/year.

I have been with them for over 15 years, and in that time their "discounted" rate has doubled and is more than a consumer can pay just about anywhere.

Another account I have is nearly $ 2 less, but it has no domains. How is that possible? How much more greedy can you possibly get for a wholesale account? This is not a wholesale account; it costs more than retail. How do you expect people to run a business with this short of a stick, and you're handing it out for an elevated fee?

Overpriced software and a company that takes advantage of long-term customers. Steer clear; at this point, you're better off with GoDaddy or some other place that robs you blindly. There is no wholesale benefit to working with WHMCS. They have lost their way and aren't coming back.

Enom, where they do this through, has also gone downhill since Tucows bought them out. There is nothing positive to this relationship, and now I get to spend weeks moving 600 domains to a better partner.

A system that's mostly okay, but... It's already full of bloatware and useless stuff that many users don't use. Also, ever since WHMCS became part of WebPros, prices have skyrocketed. It is no longer worth purchasing a license if you are a hosting provider just starting out. My recommendation... If you're just starting out and have a limited budget, it's not worth choosing WHMCS. It's very expensive.

I gave it 3, as it's good BUT I would give it 5 for GREED! I have been in the industry since 1999 and have used WHMCS for a LONG time now, back when it was a start-up. Since it's been took over, the greed has set in and the price hikes are a joke. I am now embarking on making my own system to integrate with nominet, enom and manage my invoicing, project management and xero integration. The cost of WHMCS + XERO integration now reaches a point, where it's worth me building something custom to suit my specific needs. It is such a shame to see the project reach this point, where the greed sets in and the price hikes ruin it. Bye bye WHMCS.

Bloated. It's quite a piece of legacy. Reminds me of cPanel. Ancient and overdone in all the wrong ways. Better than most of the others, though.

Expensive. Full of bugs. Customer support either ignore or blame the customer.

The recommended Stripe Dynamic payment gateway is double charging our customers. Initially WHMCS denied any problem.

We had to provide screen recordings showing the behaviour, before they would admit there was an issue (despite having been given full access to our install and provided with logs showing the issue).

Now it's been assigned a ticket number and they refuse to give an ETA.

Our ticket was supposedly escalated to a manager on Tuesday Morning, it's now Friday afternoon and we've not heard anything back.

Great software backed by great customer support!

Some of the staff really care, but it feels like as a company it's just about making money rather than building a great product.
I have been trying for years to be able to properly charge correct taxes automatically, but they don't seem to think that's important for a billing system.

I had two Marketplace accounts and at some point, unknowingly, we started using the wrong account for our WHMCS account. That created problems for us and our clients because we could not renew purchased Marketplace products.
WHMCS stayed with me until they discovered what was wrong and what I needed to do to correct my problem.

I'm very unhappy with how everything is encrypted. For example, I recently updated our WHMCS which caused list elements to be removed from product listings on save. Therefore I had to code an injection script which injects an element in the page allowing me to basically hard code the list element in the database without having to click their save button. We'll be looking into building our own custom alternative to WHMCS, this instability is not something we can afford as a business.

If you cannot offer the product directly, guide the user on how to obtain the same product through alternative channels.

Most helpful. I've got owned licence, which I needed it re-issuing. I contacted whmcs for guidance as the license was for version 8x.

Whmcs team member sent me a copy of version 8, but I'm unable to install it, for some reason. Not sure why it will not install - looking into it.

It's a shame, they don't offer the same service as before for owned licences - ie pay for annual updates.

Knowledge, patience and speed of fixes.

I would remove stars if it was possible.

They keep doing useless upgrades, completely ignoring smart feature requests.

On the last one they made a terrible mess with the invoices, now it's completely unusable. Will move to a different system as soon as possible

I've been having issues with my WHMCS instance that I've been trying to resolve for awhile on my own. I finally reached out to WHMCS and they had it resolved within 24 hours. Pete, Ricardo and Areeb where awesome.
