Willerby are my favourite brand

Willerby are my favourite brand. I am shocked to see so many negative reviews, they obviously don't understand that its NOT Willerby's workmanship causing a problem, its the people that sited the unit that causes doors not to close or drop and a million other things. I know because I have a few including a Pinehurst and a New England and know the pitfalls. Instead of blaming Willerby, blame the site you are on and the siting teams they use!
Willerby are the best for style and comfort.

Very poor after sales

Very poor after sales. My Father has just bought a brand new adapted home but the bathroom and bedroom doors are jammed open and the front door doesn't close properly. They are unable to have the carer stay to look after my Stepmum as the doors don't close so no privacy. The site Manager has been in contact with Willerby regularly but has had no response. I was thinking of purchasing a park home myself but judging by this poor example I won't. My Father has had to bring my Stepmum home to be showered.

Don't get one

Don't get one. No after sales support. Been waiting ages to get the gap in patio doors sorted! Not holding my breath. Will have to tape it over for a 2nd winter!
Have taken pictures but can't upload them.

Warning about the windows.

To be fair - I love my 2017 static - however within the first couple of years 3 of my double glazed windows blew... they replaced them without issue as per the warrenty. Then another blew and because it was 8 months past the 5 year warrenty, they refused to fix it. So warning here is - don't expect these windows to last long - they are obviously substandard and report them the second they start to go cloudy. (Ignore the date of experience - it was Feb 2023 but won't allow me to go back futher.

ZERO AFTER SALES SUPPORT

With an operating profit of over £15 million (latest accounts, Companies House) you'd think these people could afford to fix the door on my brand new Lodge. Or, is it because they don't do after-sales on ANYTHING, as in my case, they have loads of money to pay fat Director salaries and also have a lovely pension scheme? ps. I'm not saying the Directors are fat, just their pay packets!

Despicable customer care

Despicable customer care. Avoid at all cost. They will do anything possible to avoid getting out of their legal responsibilities. Then turn aggressive when challenged. They do not care about the customer buying their holiday homes. Pretty much wash their hands of it once out of the depot.

Nieuw Willerby chalet gekocht…slechte kwaliteit!

Nieuw Willerby chalet gekocht (Nederland)wat een slechte kwaliteit,alle buiten en binnendeuren sloten niet,enorme openingen.De matrassen zijn hopeloos slecht,zo zacht dat je bijna niet uit bed kan komen.Geen licht boven de wastafel.Geen hoedenplankje aanwezig.geen mogelijkheid om het vaste badkamer putje te reinigen(kan nog leuk worden straks,bij verstopping door haren enz).Brandmelder werkt niet,en gelijk al gat in de buitenplaat ,toen de voordeur een keertje uit onze handen glipte.Koelkast moest al heel snel weer nagekeken,maakte enorme herrie,kortom slechte ervaring!Hiervoor hadden wij een Arcabo chalet,wat een topklasse was dat,ik mis Arcabo!

Purchased new (2024) willerby Manor…

Purchased new (2024) willerby Manor static caravan on a Holiday park. We have a problem with one of the patio doors being impossible to open, also the main gas oven and grill will not ignite.
Waiting now for four weeks and still no date for the issues to be resolved. Impossible to get through to Willerby customer service, the only number available is for the showground in Hull. Park owners not yet able to provide a date for the problems to be resolved.
Considering the cost/outlay for a new holiday home the service is disgraceful. Customer care dose not seem to exist. A disgrace. A response from Willerby would be useful. This was meant to provide us with pleasure. Spoiled by a company that clearly does not care.

We bought a Willerby Dorchester in…

We bought a Willerby Dorchester in January 2023 within a few hours of getting the keys we had water leaks from the sinks and toilet, fittings were not tight. The bath is an all-in-one molded unit with ends and sides that go up to the ceiling, where the shower screen fixes the molding is distorted which allows water to seep under the screen. Willerby were informed about this in February. We agreed with Willerby to change the hinged screen to a fixed one. Still waiting for this to be done. I looked at a new Dorchester that had just arrived on-site last week it has the same bath with the same fault and many other faults that we had.
So I agree with all the other reviews don't buy a Willerby their warranty is not worth the paper it's printed on.

Willerby home and holiday

We recently bought a new Willerby Delamere 50'x22' Park Home sited at Broadway - a great site with kind and supportive people, thank heavens. The home itself is almost very good, and, apart from a few design quirks and poor quality fittings has the makings of a good place to be. As for Willerby, I confirm what everyone else says - obstructive, uncaring, disinterested, unhelpful - and that is after just two weeks here! Fortunately we have been able to use our experiences to advise potential buyers of similar homes from Willerby not to buy a Willerby of any description and to look elsewhere and we will contnue to go out of our way to do so. The whole company ethos of Willerby is symptomatic of the standards of poor service that is endemic in today's UK.
PS This review has been sent to Willerby so their response will be interesting.

Shocking Willerby Vogue

We have a Willerby Vogue , would like to say we love it, but after 4 months faults and snags still not fixed. Willerby don't care once money paid. Aftersales is non existent. Buyers go elsewhere.

Zero Customer Support

We purchased a new 2019 Vogue and have had many issues some minor ranging to a full reclad.This reclad was subcontracted out and was carried out this week.Absolutely no communication from Willerby to either the park or myself regarding this or other issues.we arrived at our home expecting the front to be reclad only to find the whole lodge being carried out by a subcontractor. We could not use for three days and returned home. The inside was a mess,no covers over furnishings, windows removed, fixings all over the floor. .With some damage done by the contractor we are now looking at compensation and having to go through the park as Willerby cannot and will not let you contact them direct. I would not recommend either purchasing a home or Willerby as they are poorly build with zero customer support.

Awful quality

Dreadful quality issues with our new Sierra van.Chip in work top
.Leaking shower because door not fitted properly. Internal and external doors wont close properly.Kitchen tap broken,and the plush looking chair just collapsed.A serious health and safety issue. So disappointed with the quality. And apparently 10 to 12 weeks for a Willerby engineer to come out to visit. DO NOT BUY A WILLERBY VAN

I’ve just spoken with a reptile from…

I’ve just spoken with a reptile from Willerby.Teejay Hales is his name.
As far as customer service is concerned Willerby could do themselves a massive favour and sack him.
If only I had 2 minutes in a car park with this w###er.
Completely unacceptable after my parents spending their life savings on their product.
No answers,rude,ignorant,derogatory,unprofessional,f##k you attitude.Absolutely hateful experience.

One star issued because can't give…

One star issued because can't give zero!
Owners of Sheraton Elite Lodge sited 4 years ago. This is just one of a number of reviews posted in relation to our problems experienced with this Willerby unit.
We opened up our lodge in April ready for the new season. Yet again we were faced with problems.
Six out of the 12 kitchen unit doors have bulges showing in the laminate surface. This unit is purchased as being constructed to residential spec so being double glazed and additional insulation. I would also point out that in the 4 years since purchase the unit has probably been occupied for less than 20 weeks in total, due to lockdown in Wales and personal reasons.
The unit does not suffer from condensation/damp and the doors in question are never exposed to direct sunlight.
We can only draw the conclusion that these kitchen units are yet again proof of Willerby using poor quality materials even though this lodge is stated as being one of their premier units using only top quality materials.
But Willerby have no shame! We have been informed by the dealership who are our only method of contacting Willerby that Willerby are not interested. We have been offered a quote for replacing the 6 doors, when actually all doors would need replacing as there would be a difference in shade of a different batch.
We are absolutely sick of this company. A new model of this same Unit is currently being seen advertised in some places as just shy of £100k!!
We are seriously considering taking legal action due to this latest problem being only one of several we have faced in the 4 years of ownership. The unit is a total dud!
Never ever put your trust in Willerby. Crooks to the last!!

We have had nothing but trouble with…

We have had nothing but trouble with our home.
Trims not fitting, cut too short.
Blown windows, entrance doors keep dropping.
The interior doors are an inch too short.
The floors creak Lao much, if someone gets up in the night, everybody wakes up aswell.
The white goods that came with the home were obviously purchased in the UK have no warranty.
The washing machine had a special offer at the time of us moving in, a ten year guarantee if we registered it with Hotpoint, I telephoned to register the machine and I was told that because we weren’t uk residents we could not register it. That went for all appliances plus the Ariston Combi boiler. That has actually been losing pressure since we first moved in. No plumber can repair it for some reason. Had we registered it we could have asked for a replacement. So 6 years down the line, it is still losing pressure and no body can find out why!!!.
We weren’t the only buyers who had problems so
Willerby sent out some engineers in 2018 and again in 2019, they were due to return to finish the repairs but Covid epidemic prevented them paying a visit.
That was the last we heard from them.
Since then we have noticed a large hole above the vanity unit in the family bathroom, it is always cold in there because the wall has been cut too shirt. On the other wall above the vanity unit, the wiring from the kitchen extractor fan are hanging out of a hole.
We had a 5year warranty that expired in 2022.
When I contacted Willerby Customer Care, I was told, as the warranty had expired all of these issues would not be completed and we would be charged for any materials we need to complete them.
Covid was the cause of the lack of another engineers visit.
So, really, we have lost a year’s warranty on our home.
We thought Willerby would have given us that year in light of the Covid epidemic stopping travel to other countries. !!!!!
There is more to be done, but Willerby are getting out of coming over here.
Willerby never have any direct contact with their customers, and Customer Services………..is a waste of time.

So, if anyone out there is thinking of buying a WILLERBY home…….think again and go for another company.
Willerby are only interested in taking your money!!!
Their aftercare is non existent since the company have changed owners, and cut-back on quality of the materials, furniture, in-fact everything that the home is
Made of is cheap, cheap, cheap materials.

Very poor Willerby customer services experiences…

Very poor customer service experiences from Willerby regarding customer services and defect warranty claim resolutions.

We have a structurally defective caravan which is affecting the attaching side panels that developed last year on our ‘brand new’ 2022 Castleton caravan; we reported this to our selling site as a warranty claim as soon as it arose.

However, 4 months of waiting, chasing and haggling for / with Willerby to actually respond just to get an inspection team to come out and inspect was heart breaking. And then, only on their second attempt during the site winter close down did they try to conduct a repair, but we have never been given a repair report nor any other details of what they had done.

Now that the site has reopened and at our caravan can we see that the attempted repair has not worked and that the side is again significantly bowing and rippling when the sun is on it (and its only 13 Deg C!!!!).

We have reported this (AGAIN) to Willerby as another warranty claim about the same defective structural issue, and that the attempted earlier repair did not resolve the ‘original’ structural warranty claim, but Willerby has not provided any reply in over three weeks now.

Seriously, we do not want another summer of heartache, stress and worry like last year over this defective structure and the bad customer service of Willerby like we had last year, without any feedback from Willerby (AGAIN!) and how it intends to resolve the issue.

Willerby needs to up its game and improve both from a customer service perspective, its post sales repairs service and with its build quality control.

Interesting read with updates to follow.

We sold our home and bought a top of the range Wilerby Lodge in 2021. This major decision was driven by the tragic and unexpected death of our beloved young family member and therefore decided a brand new start would help us begin to build our life again and bring us some much needed joy.
However, just days after moving into our lodge the stress began, we worried that our decision had been a huge mistake.
The serious issues with the workmanship and fixings have been endless, problem after problem with our new home, much to the point that we paid for a snagging company to document the findings which left us with pages of issues that required correcting.
All these findings were conveyed to Willerbys and they were given the list at their request, which they finally reimbursed us for after months of arguing about the money we had initially paid out.
We agreed on moving out and into a hotel, mainly so that work could be completed quickly, which wasn’t ideal as I had to book annual leave from work and also because of our elderly and frail Labrador who we couldn’t walk far due to the extreme heat during that week. Willerbys treated us like we had been given a free holiday and they also complained that a couple of evening meals had been added to our hotel bill, we were made to pay the difference.
However, the guys that completed our issues were so polite, very apologetic and just brill, it made us feel relieved and assured that things would be resolved, they appeared so willing to make things right.
After all the snagging work had been completed we were just happy to move back, we even left them a little thank you gift as a token of our appreciation.
However, just months after moving back other issues are still being flagged and identified, for example we have no functioning or usable French doors onto our decking, they’re completely sealed up due to water coming through to our lounge, plus a large major radiator within our kitchen/diner having a factory problem ( a small hole in the metal leaking water) and therefore covered having to be turned off and isolated during the very cold weather, other minor issues outstanding are being fixed by ourselves.
Also, just to add, the employees wear many different hats within the Willerby company, claiming to be managers and such, yet other employees telling you that person is not a manager and has no real status in making thing happen …. so after a while you conclude that this is all attempts at trying to pacify, who’s being honest or who is not ?
Endless unanswered phone calls, employees unaware of what the next person is doing, having no idea of anything verbally agreed, no communication between each other.

Don’t get me wrong, there are some positives along the way, for example when things get sorted after months of waiting, plus the aesthetics of the outside of our home looks stunning and we only seek closure to all this grief and stress, yet on bad days we have honestly considered the worse case scenario of taking our issues to the media platform, someone we know well.
However, in fairness, we are trying to be patient and determine if it’s just time and manpower that Willerby require? we are not out to ruin any businesses or company names, that’s never been our intentions, if anything we just want the home we paid good money for to be fit for purpose and one in which we can take pride!

Update April 2023 :::
After many texts and phone calls we are still awaiting our French doors to be opened up from when they were sealed by Willerbys (due to heavy leakage) and replacing with sliding doors. We were once again promised that this issue would be sorted well before summer. If we go throughout summer with no patio doors to open we are considering a solicitor plus a further media platforms like YouTube to video and give evidence of all the problems we have had. Another update to follow later !

Still doors remain sealed with no sign of new ones as of yet … only promise after promise after promise !

have 2 acorn lodges on site i cannot be…

have 2 acorn lodges on site i cannot be bothered to list all the faults but doors windows and general fixtures and fittings are very poor .I have started to replace these my self as cannot be bothered with the stress of trying to get them to fix .2022 lodge has sliding doors like a banana and will not shut unless you pull it towards the lodge.Ensuite shower leaking after 6 months ,i can go on .Remember the Lodge you look at at the showroom has had lots more man hours spent on it than the one you will be unfortunate to purchase.
