We needed a simple booking plug-in for our dog grooming business. We looked at several and finally settled on Amelia. Now, we are finding this was a big mistake! The plug-in is very complicated to set-up and there is virtually no customer support. The company is in the UK and you can't reach anybody in customer support during the day time in the US. Very poor customer support. We would definitely not recommend this plug-in. It is a nightmare to try to set-up and after spending two full days trying to get it set-up, it is still not working on our website! Super Frustrated!!!! Now searching for a simpler booking plugin.

As a small business owner who wears many hats, it is refreshing to get a plugin that has great support. I found the process of upgrading the plugin easy and when I had questions, customer support was very quick to reply. Highly recommend!

We’ve been using the Amelia plugin for a few years and it provides the options we need for customers to book their own appointments online, particularly the ability to accept partial payments/deposits, granular control over scheduling time slots, and the employee panel function.

We’ve run into occasional problems with the functionality of the plugin, however, customer service has consistently solved the issue in a reasonable timeframe.

I've been using Amelia for my client's booking needs and I'm really impressed with how well it works. The setup was straightforward, the booking process is smooth for customers, and it handles our appointment scheduling perfectly.
The support team deserves special mention - they're responsive and genuinely listen to user feedback. When I mentioned that we'd love to see standalone products (like prepaid service credit packages) added to avoid needing WooCommerce for simple product sales, they were very receptive to the suggestion.
While that feature isn't available yet, everything else about Amelia works exactly as advertised. It's reliable, user-friendly, and integrates well with WordPress. For appointment-based businesses looking for a comprehensive booking solution, I'd definitely recommend giving Amelia a try.
