Aber wie kann man keinen Support haben und trotzdem Software verkaufen? Wacht auf Berlin!!! Kauft einen Bot, seid fleißig bitte....

Ableton software was bundled "free" with hardware I purchased. Downloaded and installed it. Didn't like the program at all......so removed it, or so I thought.
After trawling through every conceivable location on my hard drive to rid myself of this garbage there are still .dll files and remnants of Ableton littered all over the show. It's so bad I can't install ASIO drivers for a midi keyboard. The installation is actually telling me that Ableton is preventing driver installation.
This software is like a virus. Wish I'd never bothered touching it. Avoid this rubbish, fellow music makers, it's not worth the hassle. Horrible experience trying to rid myself of this "virus!"

Poor customer support. I purchased live 12 which won't work on my ancient Intel Catalina mac. The license doesn't work on 11. It's been over a week and I've heard nothing from technical or customer support.

This company asked for a 225$ upgrade fee less than one year after purchasing the 450$ program. Utterly predatory charge for a basic upgrade that hardly adds anything. After explaining the predicament they were unwilling to offer any reasonable discount after I had missed a tiny window for a "sale" price, but even with a sale your looking at 100$ charge every year and thats if you have a double stacking discount like I would have had. So definitely look forward to big predatory charges if you want to update this program.

The support is shocking. Ableton has been great but they need to put some of their money into support. I also use Logic who doesn't charge for upgrades and support their products well. So why can't Ableton do this. The support is also purposely slow, like asking you questions you've already told them to try and stall you or make you give up. Shame on you Ableton.

I purchased an Ableton Push 2 in 2022, and before completing one year of usage, it started exhibiting problems. The buttons would act as if pressed without being touched, and it would write automation without receiving any commands. I contacted support and went through all the necessary procedures. Eventually, they sent me a faulty unit. At that moment, I regretted spending money on their product. I reported the issue and requested a refund, expressing my concern that they might continue sending me faulty units until my warranty expires, leaving me without recourse. They offered me a brand new unit, which I accepted, but that turned out to be my biggest mistake. The entire process took about three to four months.

So less than eight months after receiving the new unit, it began exhibiting problems again. So, I contacted their support and requested a refund because their product does not deliver on its promises. They asked for all the necessary paperwork again, but I declined (I understand they have their procedures), providing the required videos instead. I refused to go through the reporting process again as the issues were different each time. Sometimes the entire device would freeze, or one pad would activate while playing a different one. How am I supposed to provide a report for random issues if they are intermittent?

Now my biggest fear has materialized, as they provided me with another faulty unit, and my warranty is approaching expiration. I worry that they will refuse to address the issue once the warranty expires, despite my timely attempts to contact them. They have ignored my recent emails, and even when I tried to reply to the previous ticket where they resolved the problem with the first unit, I received no response. This disregard has greatly demotivated me from producing music, as their software consistently crashes.

Last time, it took an extensive amount of time to provide everything they requested, and I have other projects in my life that demand my attention. Time is money, and I cannot afford to allocate valuable time to troubleshooting issues just to generate crash reports for their bureaucracy, which appears to be the reason for their disregard. I have videos demonstrating all the problems, and I am exhausted from attempting to resolve this situation. If they continue to ignore me, I will have no choice but to pursue legal action.

Not much to say, other than save your money.... nothing works properly or logically...I upgraded to 12 Live, what a bug ridden application, Quantize settings doesn't work, when you click on it, quite literally nothing happens, no menu no nothing!. The duplication function (CTRL +ALT + D) duplicates the notes as it should, however it moves the notes to the right, meaning everything gets out of sync.. the only plus is the mixer is now available in session view, I have lost count on the tickets I have raised with Ableton on this badly updated program, real disappointment, may have to go to "Reason" If I could give no stars I would!

The new update live 12 doesn’t work at all, a LOT of bugs, I sent solid proof by way of screen recording and was called a liar and discriminated against for having a disability…

We had an unfortunate encounter with Ableton customer support the past week. We bought Ableton retail, and expected to be served in a good way. Tried to help them with scammers who sold their software illegally. Seems nowadays companies like Ableton, are making money but do not really care for their customers.. (read the latest reviews on Trustpilot, especially help for those who'd need a humane approach, the point is: I have used Ableton since version 9, and for me it meant crashes, frustration with stuff that didn't work as expected. I also use Logic Pro X and that works, all the time. My question of all time: why the hell does Ableton produce such overpriced rubbish? What is going on with their programmers, who produce software that is in fact rubbish the first months you use it after an upgrade? Why is their customer support so bad? What's going on with the German company and its support. It's ridiculous how bad their support is. In fact I would like a refund of all the money I spent on their rubbish called Ableton Live Suite. And compensation for moral damage too.
They are a absolute no go! If I had known this before I would never have bought Ableton. As former CEO of Online TV RADIO Europe I say, stay away from Ableton and its software. It is overpriced rubbish. It's a company that sucks to the bone. Pi-Qui

I bought Ableton Live Suite a few years ago. their customer support sucks. as well as their policies towards their customers. Thanks to their behavior, they have lost me as a customer, as well as my band members. Overpriced rubbish is what Ableton sells to its customers. Every time they have an update/upgrade it means months of crashes and frustration. As former CEO of online TV Radio Europe I advise musicians to stay away of this heavily overpriced rubbish.

I've had 7 hours with it and it's fabulous.
The customer service is wonderful too.
I emailed yesterday and got fast response.
Meld is awesome mpe compatible
Roar is great.
Clips and scales is a big winner.
With Ableton you have to go into the engine room and dig deep.
This is where I find sound manipulation at it's very best..
I highly recommend suite 12 if you want to explore new avenues.
I give it a ten.
The small thing I was a little disappointed with was the look in preferences.
Not much change I'm afraid.
I don't want third party stuff.
I'm using a darker one which is ok

Fantastic service! I needed some help with authorizing a PC to run the software. They replied immediately and sorted out my issue.

I write this review as I have just finished writing my 1st album in the DAW. I believe Ableton is more than just a software to make your music. I really bought in to Ableton before investing my money and my time in to the company. I loved the whole idea of Ableton in fairness and what struck me the most was the story behind the DAW and also the musical prowess of Robert Henke and Gerhard Behles. I didn't have a clue of what Ableton was or how it worked and I will admit this at first I found the DAW very difficult to understand and also write music in. The whole process was a true test of my commitment to myself not to the DAW as such to understand and develop my skills whilst learning the DAW. I am forever thankful to Ableton as it has taken me on quite an adventure and I will never forget the experience as a whole. I honestly believe it is more than just a brand or software company as I mentioned earlier and I am thankful to be apart of this movement. Ableton really has given me a sense of purpose in my music and also a confidence in my musical ability.

My rating is a solid 5 on here, I have also Given my personal rating below this review. There has been no issue with technicalities really if my computer crashed or if the DAW crashed then I will admit the DAW does save the work. Also if you maybe have too much going on in the arrangement itself the DAW can stagger and sometimes skip or even become a little fuzzy. But I really have to put that down to over overcrowding the arrangement with too much going on. Other than that I felt the whole instrument side of the DAW is quite sufficient there are a lot of instruments and machines to get stuck in to whilst creating and I also like the sounds in the DAW. I really am writing this review as a newb, however I have managed to finish an album and I have also manged to complete quite a few projects in the DAW. The first impression was a little overwhelming and I will admit this I did get very annoyed when I was learning as I had started as a complete beginner. I have experienced some immense highs from this software and also some lows in my own work. I mean its the same with anything right. But obviously without sounding to corny or lets say cliché, my review is as stands a solid one.

Thanks Ableton and I will review again after the 2nd phase of my musical journey.

I started with Ableton Light. I then bought Ableton standard. Then without doubt just before Christmas 2023 I upgraded to the Suite 11 and await a free upgrade to 12.

This was not cheap but I will admit some of the best products aren't cheap, Ableton is worth the money and I also bought some packs as well.
I will be upgrading my Laptop to a more powerful system in the future although the laptop I am on is just fine. If the stuttering is there whilst on the more powerful device I will also update and notify.

Ableton has been a great service even a friend at this point in my life and I will recommend this experience if you buy in to it as I have.

8.9/10 For the whole experience thus far. ;)

Ich kann mich hier der Mehrheit nur anschließen. Dieser Laden ist katastrophal. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit jemand zu erreichen. Das Telefon scheint wohl immer noch "under construction" zu sein.

Terrible customer support. Takes on average 7-10 days to answer emails.

Took about 3 weeks to action a return, then another 10 days for them to process the refund.

I would dread to think what would happen if someone had a time sensitive software issue.

Ableton should see this lack of customer service as their biggest issue, and prioritize on sorting this out.

I personally would not buy another product of them until I saw an improvement.

Easy to walk through, I'm looking forward to getting more familiar with it soon for future projects!

Absolut unterirdischer Support. Das nagelneu gelieferte Push 3 ist aus der Verpackung heraus defekt. Bei keiner der angegebenen Telefonnummern kann man jemanden erreichen. Die Leitungen sind „under construction“ oder „der Anrufer möchte gegenwärtig keine Anrufe entgegen nehmen“

Die Kontaktaufnahme ist per Browser über die Webseite möglich. Das dauert aber ewig. Rückantworten sind zunächst pauschal ohne Bezug zum Problem. Es dauert Tage bis man Antworten bekommt und die Kompetenz der Mitarbeiter ist katastrophal. Wenn Tasten bei einem Standalone Push 3 nicht funktionieren und das ohne dass es je mit Live verbunden war, kann es wohl kaum an einer falschen MIDI-Konfiguration liegen, zumal das Gerät ja out of the Box einfach nur angeschaltet wurde.

Ich würde Nix mehr von Ableton kaufen. So ein schlechter Support wiegt die gute Software Ableton Live nicht auf.
