I didn't know that the entire field was…
Upsetting and disappointing - I didn't know that the entire field was going to be that muddy, if I got told and had known, it would've been better. Also, the weather - the lightning strikes and the rain pours down, I couldn't stay longer because I was about to catch a cold, all my clothes were soaked wet, there was a leak from the ceiling and we couldn't turn the light on due to the electricity hazard, I thought it was so dangerous. Therefore I decided to call someone that I couldn't stay longer.- I know the client is important but given the circumstances maybe the agency should have told us in advance to prepare well in case for anyone first time being there rather than saying you are disappointed and there will be a penalty because I couldn't stay longer at the shift. I strongly believed I did the right thing for myself and technically the fault was on the organisation. I am sure you'd be able to see the point. Thanks for the food voucher though. The people working with were nice.

We completely understand that the weather conditions on the day were difficult, particularly with heavy rain and lightning. Where there are genuine safety concerns, these are taken seriously and we would never expect anyone to put themselves at unnecessary risk.
That said, as this was an outdoor event, wet and muddy ground is unfortunately a foreseeable possibility, particularly when poor weather is forecast. Staff are advised to prepare appropriately for outdoor festival conditions, including suitable footwear and clothing.

It was an okay experience
It was an okay experience. We got bus from Manchester to the location and back. This was good in terms of transportation. One thing that wasn't mentioned was how the location was muddy and we would have worn proper shoes.

We do provide staff with information ahead of shifts, but there also needs to be an element of personal preparation when working during bad weather. Appropriate clothing and footwear should be considered based on the conditions and forecast.

Great Team Experience
I had a really great experience working as a Bar staff for weekend 2 at the festival. It was busy which I enjoyed. I enjoyed interacting with the customers and the overall atmosphere of the event was superb. Always interested in working more of these with ARC.

The Long Road Festival was my first…
The Long Road Festival was my first assignment with Arc and as with anything, I had quiet concerns about what to expect, would it be organised, would there be anyone to hand if anything went wrong .. I can honestly say I was more than impressed.
Jenny and Poppy were amazing. I was met on the first day with smiles. I was provided with clear guidance and instructions of how the event would run and what to expect. I like organisation and order and they ran it like clockwork, always checking in to make sure all was well. I just cannot fault them.
I provide professionalism, quality service and high standards and I received exactly the same in return.
I look forward to my next assignment (after a short holiday!)
I 100% recommend working with Arc. Work hard, earn money and have fun at the same time .. that’s what I call balance 😀

Wouldn’t work with streamline again - Leeds festival
Wouldn’t work with streamline again. Shifts were so long - my original shift was 8am till 4pm on the Friday which was then changed to 9am till 9pm, however I had to stay on until 3am (18 hour shift, and then had to wake up 6 hours later to do another 12 hour shift at 9am), without any of the streamline managers battling an eyelid. Eve (our agency manager) was great but don’t think there was much she could do as I think so many people dropped out as they were horrible working conditions leading to all the remaining people working so much overtime. Across the 4 days I worked 51.5 hours, of which I had 1 30 minute break to watch some of an act, other than that we weren’t allowed breaks as “streamline don’t do breaks as you are paid for them”

The shift lengths and break arrangements you’ve described are certainly not the experience we want our staff to have. We understand how frustrating and exhausting it must have been to work such long hours with limited rest, particularly with another lengthy shift starting shortly afterwards.
As the event is managed by the client on site, some of the operational decisions around shift extensions and breaks are outside of our direct control.
However, we absolutely take your feedback seriously and will raise these concerns with the client and relevant teams to ensure the issues around shift lengths, rest periods, and communication are addressed and do not happen again.
We’re pleased to hear that Eve was supportive throughout, and we’re sorry that the wider experience left you feeling this way.

Fun festival but hard work for minimum wage.
It was fun to work a festival but it definitely has it's pros and cons.
Working the bar can be fun but my experience was heavily dependent on the vibe given from the bar manager. Over the weekend of long road I was put mostly on bars with lovely managers but one shift was with one who didn't seem to really care about the staff and got annoyed at people if they did anything wrong when it was busy. I asked to move off this bar and arc were good and made it happen.
Festival shifts are long but you aren't guaranteed all your hours depending on the bar you're on. If the bar closes early or there aren't enough customers they will cut people's shifts short. I did an average of 2 hrs less than the shift given on ubeya.
Food is provided on shift in the form of breakfast in the morning, a packed lunch and a microwave meal. These were fine but definitely don't expect fine dining 🤣. Only problem with this is they run out of some things really quickly, there is supposed to be a chocolate bar but it seems these run out almost immediately and we suspected the stock guys were helping themselves to these meaning the staff missed out. I got one over the three days I was there!
Overall working was fine but if it weren't for the benefit of being at a festival I wouldn't be doing these kind of shifts anymore particularly for minimum wage.

I have been working as Bar tender, ARC suddenly turned all my shifts to Hospitality.
I have complained to Delaware North and they said I should speak to ARC.
I want to be working in the bar.

Mostly all fun!
Overall the shifts were great, got breaks and food tokens, and the atmosphere was mostly all fun. Also myself and lots of others turned up for our shifts on time to be told we had to wait 2 hours for the shift, in the rain and with no extra pay. Parking was always easy and all the staff across the festival were always happy to help with directions etc. It was also really good that we could request to be on the same bar as our friends.

However, our site teams do have to follow the event’s lateness policy, which means arriving after the scheduled start time can result in having to wait for the next available start time.

Loved every minute of creamfields this year. Weather did not put me off one bit. Only downside was the hot water urns not working in the arc tent at camp so hot drinks when it was cold.

I loved working the Open everything was…
I loved working the Open everything was just brilliant I met some truly amazing people. The Acr leadership are just simply the best Emma, Sarah and Chole I love them all they are all so helpful and answer queries super fast. I live local to the golf course however after a few long shifts and in the exceptional heart the 20min walk was starting to take its toll on me, I bought this to the attention of the leadership team who iv named above who arranged a parking pass for me. I tuck a week off my normal Job to work this and it was without a doubt worth every second of my annual leave. Without a shadow of a doubt I will most definitely be signing up to ever open am able to and booking the time off from my usual employment to ensure am available for every shift. Thanks so much to the Arc team for your constant support and dedication in ensuring all our needs are taken care of 5* plus from me

I found the higher arc management team…
I found the higher arc management team very helpful in terms of our welfare and well being. They always checked up on us during hard times and were very understanding of certain situations. Some times the abrupt shift time changes were frustrating, when I turned up for my original shift in time and got moved to a shift 5 hours later. I also found some of the bar managers on the busier bars not as emphatic and understanding towards the staff and our wellbeing. I think additional 5 minute breaks in the extremely hot and busy environment should have been enforced more. The bar managers should have trusted their staff more rather than always trying to catch us out which added to the emotional stress of the situation.
