One of the best Turkish cuisine experience in Essex .
Absolutely incredible experience at Areay Restaurant!
From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food is simply exceptional — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted, and the portions are generous too. The interior design creates the perfect balance between comfort and elegance, making it ideal for both casual dinners and special occasions.
Definitely one of the best dining experiences in the area — I’ll be coming back again and again.

The staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. My partner especially loved the Turkish dishes. Overall, a wonderful brunch spot that we’d definitely visit again!

Terrible service
Terrible service! Went in for brunch today and we waited 45 mins for 2 drinks and 1 hour for a Turkish coffee. The service was slow, we ordered pancakes and waffles presentation was lovely but the food was all cold, which leads me to believe that they were made and sat there until someone actually bothered to collect them and give them to us. The bill came and we complained about the bad service and I asked if it was a joke that service charge was applied. They brought us complimentary drinks which we didn’t ask for and I said all I want is the drinks that took 45 mins plus to be taken off. Still we were left sitting there feeling awkward, the manager came over and didn’t give us the money off for the drinks and took the money off for service charge. I’m shocked that they could leave their guests waiting 45 to 55 mins for basic juices and coffees. Good service goes a long way and it’s safe to say we won’t be going back there again.

Horrible 1st Experience
First time visiting today and when we were about to pay for the bill, we were refused the opportunity to and told to seat down only to be told 10 minutes later that they are investigating if it’s our kids who broke the out glass. Held against our will only to be told 20-25 minutes later that there is no evidence to prove it’s our children who broke the glass. A really horrible experience please stay away as the stuff came across really aggressive and causing unnecessary alarm. Shameful experience and made the children really scared

Overrated I'm afraid
Overrated I'm afraid. The food is nice and the presentation was lovely and decent size portions and nice decor. That was the positives but negatives spoilt it BIG time for us. Car park is small so get there early just in case, the music is too loud, they do warn you of this but this is a cop-out because clearly people have complained about this so do something about it?? Live singer was not great either and was singing dead songs, again too loud where you struggle to have a good conversation! Desserts are not great and the service was poor and this was supposed to be a Valentines treat for me! The joke is my wife wrote a review and the owner responded basically saying sorry to hear that he will investigate and come back to her. Erm, to me that was another cop-out as I saw him there in the kitchen and we weren't the only guests complaining about the poor service plus my brother and his partner went there last year and told me the same about the loud music and poor service. To be fair, I think as long it is not busy the service should be cool but when it's busy, don't hold your breath! Overall very disappointed 😞

When I first visit array to have brunch…
When I first visit array to have brunch with my friends they were really good service was very good and friendly that's why we dine there again and again, but when I booked a brunch for my hubby’s birthday on 13 Jan it was 10 of us and we had a really bad experience service was soo slow some of us waited for our order more than an hour they had not enough staff to serve and we could not enjoy our food together which is a not a good time for us they should be doing some management about their service so people can enjoy their delicious food not be stressed

Nice Lycee Martini... Decent Menu
This is a great location if you can't be bothered to drive into mayfair. Lycee martini same quality as hakkasan, food is 8/10 which is good when comparing to michelin starred restaurants.
I read the reviews below before booking but still decided to book and i had a great experience so thought to add a positive review.
