Why are these guys popular again? *UPDATED*

Absolutely horrible experience. I ordered the porefessional pearl primer set when it was 50% off about a week and a half ago. I payed for it via PayPal. Never got a confirmation email regarding it. Got a confirmation email and receipt from PayPal. I contacted Benefit's customer service. They were intolerably rude. The customer rep told me that obviously *I* did something wrong with the order as it didn't go through the system. Although I auto-fill my personal info regarding orders, and all other orders I made around that time with other companies went in just fine. So yeah, it's *MY* fault, obviously. I asked if I could get the product at the same price given that I provide the proof which is the PayPal receipt for the order. She absolutely refused. I asked to speak with her supervisor. Apparently, she IS a supervisor. What kind of people are you hiring, Benefit? And how do you have such terrible customer service? I'd honestly think for such a big brand as Benefit, they would care about their customers a little more. Obviously only public personalities that are garnering more money for them. I was hoping to use this primer for a beauty tutorial but thank you, Benefit, for enlightening me as to how awful your customer service is. This is my first attempt at ordering from Benefit, and trust me, I will NEVER even look at another Benefit product in the future.
UPDATE: So, as I was deeply unsatisfied with the customer service they provided over the phone (to say the least), I contacted Benefit via email. I got word back from them the day right after. They fixed everything up and apologized, so I am supposed to receive my package within a week. Maybe me raising hell and more did something after all. Fingers crossed that I will receive what I bought. I am satisfied with their customer service over email but I'll be darned if I contact them via phone ever again- so I'll be knocking off a star for that.

Great product , fast delivery

I ordered the new duo eyeshadow in bronze and I’m really happy with it . Fab quality and stays on all day and evening . Really pleased with the fast delivery too. I ordered last Sunday and it arrived yesterday (Thursday) .

Not worth the money

I generally like Benefit Cosmetics. However on several occasions I have bought their powder and it eventually crumbles. The first time this happened I bought a kit to fix it and that helped but it didn’t exactly have the same texture when I used it. I recently bought some powder from the website and it showed up completely broken so I took a picture and contacted the company. They said they sent my email to the appropriate department. That was two weeks ago. So needless to say I won’t be buying this brand again. Their product and customer service aren’t worth the money

customer services and lack of information on products

I ordered some lashes online. After reading all the available information on them I believed that the glue that was required would also be included but to make sure this was correct I contacted customer services however never received a reply. I then decided to take my chances as no where stayed I needed to buy the glue separate as lashes I’ve had in the past have come with some sort of glue. When I recurved the lashes and no glue I contacted them again to ask if this was correct. Still I received no reply so I went out and bought my own. This wouldn’t have been an issue if I’d have known in the first place that I needed to buy it. I then contacted them again today to then receive an email just saying that it had been passed on to a different department.
Yes the lashes are of good quality however the customer service is shocking and the information on the products could be a little more informative. It doesn’t take much to say *glue not included*

Avoid purchases from website

I love benefit make up do not get me wrong , I’ve bought benefits range for about 15 years maybe! But I always shop in store. I made the mistake of using their actual website this time. Let’s start with the actual purchase. Bought two things in the sale. Came to about £31 looked at my bank the next morning there was an attempt at two payments. Contacted them and the first email I sent was replied with how their delivery was taking about 2 weeks .... okay but not the query resolution I was after. Now I’m aware there is a global pandemic and two weeks for delivery is not a big issue at all! Until three weeks later when I don’t have my parcel and all of a sudden it’s been “lost” so I they ship It back out. Low and behold 2 days later I get an email saying one of the items are out of stock so they’re only gonna re issue one thing. Okay that’s fine . Look at the website and the item isn’t out of stock it’s just not on sale anymore so they don’t send that one out . Perfect . I then wait another three weeks for my one item to be sent out with my free sample of foundation i wanted to try andddd the item is the wrong primer and the sample is an eyebrow pencil. From now on I’ll be buying my stuff in boots only !also the survey they asked me to do about the delivery all of a sudden has expired.

Terrible service - Scam con and overcharging avoid avoid avoid

Terrible service ordered online in sale, when order was processed I had been charged a different price, and infact I had been charged for grift wrapping which I had not selected. Contacted immediately to cancel as system would not allow. Online replies throughout the day saying could not cancel and to refuse or go out to a shop in the middle of lockdown to return the item, and wait a further 10days for refund. Appalling customer service, avoid at all costs!

I would give no stars at all! But unfortunately I am forced to give one to allow me to make a comment!??!...that's dodgy to start with!!
The most appalling customer service!!! Very arrogant and uncaring about their customer.
The products have become smaller and inferior quality but prices even higher, whilst the customer service is very poor and becomes more and more arrogant.... not nice people!
I have been buying Benefit skin care and make up products for over 20 years and introduced my sister and friends to it...not any more.
They will promise 'free gifts' when you spend a certain amount with them, but will send products 10 skintone different to the products that you've ordered. When I queried this they threw the blame on me. There was no option to request anything different. I have just had arrogance since.
I would now strongly suggest you boycott this arrogant company that ask over inflated prices for dwindling quality! There is much nicer stuff out there and lovelier people selling them.
I will never use them again.

Worst customer service! Do not order online!

Love benefit products, but I highly recommend purchasing their products in store, not online!
Ordered a Christmas gift on 12/5, thinking it would arrive on time since the website said 5-10 business days! I contacted customer service multiple times with no response til 1 week later each time. Tried calling, but couldn’t get through. I did not receive my package until 1/3, almost a whole month later.
I ordered 4 items, only 2 were included in the package...once again I tried to call, to see if the other items were arriving separately. I was on hold for 30 minutes. I Emailed and got a response a week later saying that the 2 items were not included because they were no longer available!
So, why did I have to wait a whole month to receive a partial order? Customer service made no attempts to inform me of this. I understand this is a busy time of the year but I would of appreciated if they just told me, so I could have just canceled the order all together!

THE WORST!

THE WORST!! Shipping, warehouse and customer service are severely lacking at BenefitCosmetics.
Ordered November 29th (order#BC66533953)
and STILL haven’t received it - today is December 29th! I called two weeks ago and was assured it would be shipped in time for Christmas, after waiting on hold for 37 minutes. 3 days later I received a tracking number. A few hours later the UPS tracking number updated to “Delay - your package was not received at the UPS facility” and it hasn’t changed since. I’ve emailed them multiple times asking why, where it is, when it will come, then asking to cancel the order, refund my money (charged on 12/17, then asking for ANY AKNOWLEDGMENT of these communications. Nothing. No contact. No refund. No product. Nothing. Guess I’ll have to get back on hold tomorrow with an outsourced customer service rep. Soooooo disappointing, since their products are so good. I’ve never in my life had such a horrible experience, and I’ve been an in-line shopper forever - before that, a catalog shopper (I hate actual shopping)!

I would give no stars if it was an opinion. Customer service is nonresponsive and unprofessional. I will never purchase from Benefit again. They have sent a defective item and are now ignoring my emails. It's so crazy that a company would treat customers like this.

I ordered $77 worth of product on 12/12/19. I called right before Christmas to find out where in the world my package was since it is way past the 10 day deadline. Furthermore, I was angry that they were suddenly offering free overnight shipping promotions and my order had not even shipped from 2 WEEKS AGO! I was basically told "too bad" and that at 10 days I would get a refund. I was so mad I opened an ULTA online account and bought other products instead. I did get a refund, but then they forced the order through on my card AGAIN! SO basically they had to give me my money back so they tried to force the sale at the last second after I thought everything was cancelled, and bought replacement products elsewhere and I STILL NEVER GOT MY ORDER! I am notifying the state agencies that they are a threat to consumers because of their unethical and fraudulant business practices. They got a new CEO and the product lines and service have severely suffered. I will not buy from Benefit again.

Cyber Monday Scam, company can't handle sales

I ordered a decent amount of product on cyber Monday. I got a notification that it shipped 2 1/2 weeks later, only a few days before Christmas. When I tried to track my package and then reached out to UPS, they never received it. Benefit created a label, but never shipped it out. I then called, and had to wait 45 minutes before talking to anyone. The only help from the representative was they did what they could from their end, which was a lie. They created the label but never shipped it.She then just cancelled my order completely and gave me a refund the day before Christmas. If you couldn't handle the product sales, than you shouldn't have sold it in the first place. Very disappointed in the unprofessional nature in which this company has chosen to represent itself.

Worst service ever!

Placed an order with overnight shipping. Three days later I called and was told I’d get my order in a week, I was on hold for over an hour, the worst customer service ever! One week is NOT overnight. I was also told they would send me tracking information and was never sent any tracking or emails.

Ordered on 11/29. I was charged yet didn't received my products. They sent me a tracking number that doesn't work. I already contact via the website feedback on 11/14 for a refund and they hasn't replied yet.

DO NOT BUY FROM BENEFIT!!

Placed an order online at Benefit Cosmetics on Nov 29. The order STILL hasn’t shipped. I’ve called on 12/4, 12/9, 12/12 & 12/16. Each time they told me they “...are busy with holiday orders and experiencing delays, BUT your order will ship in 24-48 hours!” Obviously lies. The call I placed on 12/16 put me on hold for 27 minutes. I had to hang up prior to speaking to anyone, since my lunch break was over. Benefit will also not let me simply cancel the order. I’ve tweeted at them 3x now without any response... WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?!?!

When asking customer rep, ‘Laura’ to speak with her Manager (who she stated was Lori), I was told: 1. She’s too busy to take phone calls 2. She can’t help you either 3. She’s really not here...so you can’t hold to talk with her.

Buyer beware. I feel I have been completely screwed by Benefit. Will NEVER buy or use this brand again. Filled out a complaint on the BBB web site.
