I returned a product because the shade wasn’t right for me. Instead of using their free untracked return service, I chose to pay for tracked shipping—and I’m very glad I did.
The item was delivered back to them weeks ago, but despite multiple requests, I never received a refund. After repeated attempts to resolve the issue, I was forced to file a dispute with my credit card provider.
The level of customer service has been extremely disappointing—unresponsive and lacking in accountability.
This has been a thoroughly frustrating and unacceptable experience. I would not recommend this company. I advise others to proceed with caution.

I had a very disappointing experience with Benefit Cosmetics. I placed an online order on April 22 and paid for expedited shipping. The next morning at 9 AM, I called customer service to cancel the order because I had to travel unexpectedly.
The representative kept me on hold and delayed the process for almost an hour, claiming the team was not responding, and promised to follow up via email. I only received an email 5 hours later stating that the order could not be canceled because it had already been shipped.
However, I later found out that the order did not actually leave their facility until April 24 — which clearly means there was enough time to cancel it when I requested. Despite paying for fast shipping, the package still had not arrived by April 27, and I had already traveled.
On top of that, I have been sending emails and contacting them through their page for the past 3 days with no response at all. Completely ignoring customers is unacceptable.
This is extremely unprofessional. They refused to cancel the order, delayed my request unnecessarily, ignored multiple follow-ups, and did not honor the expedited shipping I paid for. Very poor customer service and lack of transparency. I do not recommend ordering online from them.
Finally I send ups and they send ship back benefit but they not send me my refund yet

Eigentlich würde ich gerne Null Sterne für den schlechten Kundenservice geben. Nach 1 1/2 Wochen hin- und herschreiberei ,(teilweise wurde ich in Englisch angeschrieben??? Wieso?? ) wurde mir jetzt mitgeteilt , der Kundenservice ist nicht zuständig, ich solle mich an die Mitarbeiterin vor Ort wenden!!! Eigentlich bin ich bis jetzt nicht so abgebügelt worden. Die Kundenservice, die ich bis jetzt kontaktiert habe, haben immer nach einer gemeinsamen Lösung gesucht bzw. mein Anliegen auch bearbeitet. Hier ist in keinster Weise was passiert. Also für mich heißt das im Umkehrschluss nie wieder benefit cosmetics.

It's easier to shop somewhere else, anywhere else. Furthermore, the concealer is being discontinued and it was not clear at checkout that I ordered #2, but received #6. Most of all I just want my $28.84 back so I can go somewhere else. I'll just have to endure the cost of shipping the conccealer back to Benefit.
Customer service sucks
Hi, I’ve used benefit products for years and have loved them. This was until I made an order online. I received old dried out mascara, and old mismatched and unmixed concealer. I tried to call benefit for help and the line didn’t work. I emailed them. I heard from them three weeks later. I am so disappointed that I am no longer using their products.

I would give them negative stars if that were possible. Mascara caused a severe eye allergy. It’s been 3 months of me calling, emailing, and them ignoring me. My emails go unanswered, calls are dropped, and when I get a hold of someone they say there is one person responsible and they are either on vacation or “will get to it”.

I absolutely love their Mighty Fine brow pen. I'm a redhead and its one of the only Brands that does a auburn/red pen! Its lasted me ages and allows me to do really natural looking but nicely shaped brows. I don't often write random reviews unless overly pleased or really angry but this little gem is worth a mention.

This was my first order from Benefit’s official website, although I’ve been a loyal customer of the brand for years through other retailers.
The package got stuck in USPS delivery and didn’t move for weeks. I contacted Benefit within a few days after noticing the issue. Their response came 26 business (!) days later. By that time, USPS had suddenly marked the shipment as “delivered,” even though it was never delivered.
The U.S. forwarding warehouse confirmed in writing that the parcel was not received and asked for an official Proof of Delivery. Benefit refused to request this from USPS and relied instead on a generic tracking screenshot anyone can access.
To add to the confusion, Benefit first told me the order had been returned to them, then later said this was a mistake and not related to my order.
In U.S. commerce, the seller bears the risk of loss until delivery is confirmed.
It’s remarkable that a brand would choose to lose a long-term customer over such a low-value order and clearly broken customer service process.

It was money badly spent. It reminds me of the cakey foundation we bought years ago when there wasn’t much to choose from.

169 € pour se retrouver avec 6 mascaras, 4 blushs, et très peu de diversité, c’est clairement excessif.
La majorité des autres produits étaient minuscules, ce qui ne justifie absolument pas le prix demandé.
J’apprécie pourtant habituellement la marque et leurs boutiques, mais là j’ai vraiment eu le sentiment d’un produit bâclé et pensé uniquement pour faire payer très cher des doublons.
À ce prix-là, on s’attend à de la variété et à de la générosité, pas à une impression d’arnaque. Dommage.

I used to work for the company and I didn't know where else to write this.But I wanted to get my feelings accross if you are recurrent employer of this establishment do not risk it, as you will feel overworked under appreciated and as if certain levels of management are superior to your title.
Not only this, but you will be treated like a child learning to read for the first time. The way on which this company works is so toxic and fake.I feel like back in the day.They used to care about the customer experience.Now it's all about making real connections and selling products. Which can often feel pushy at times. The management of poor I have tried to reach out to H. R numerous times but they don't care about my situation. They focus more on those of Caucasian heritage. As to those that are from of colour, I feel like a slave, working to survive and not getting much back. Being made to feel incompetent, not good enough unworthy, which can be incredibly damaging and disheartening and make you feel depressed.
I feel there was a total lack of respect from certain management.Especially specific area managers that I will not mention. I Wanted To make this post public as I am done keeping my mouth shut and they dont respond to me nor to my emails

I went to benefit in sephora westfeild London on 13 December 2025 and was served by a lovely lady called Hadassah.
She noticed me and mum trying on make up from another make up brand.
Hadassah was attentive and showed great enthusiasm.
She introduced us to benefit make up and showed us a few foundations that would suit our skin tone.
She also did a swatch sample to match colours for our face and neck.
Once we both chose hadassah applied the make up and showed us concealer and bronzer.
I was so blown away by her care and great customer service.
She provided a 1st class service and we were amazed with her attention to detail and her honest recommendation.
Benefit cosmetics now has a new FAN
