Although they did some work on the book, it had a lot of issues. I could have written the book myself faster with all the edits and poor follow up. They would call and press me to set up a marketing campaign, website, domain to market the book. I suspect the books they say they published were not done by Berkley Publishers. Everyone that called me had an accent. They actually started a website, but didn't secure a domain or give me access. My work was deleted from the 360 Project Manager they used as a communication portal. They said they were doing market research but provided no evidence. I finally stop sending money and they pulled everything down.
I now acknowledge I was scammed.

Do not trust this company!

I worked with Berkley Publishing for over a year, and my experience was extremely disappointing.

Throughout our agreement, numerous items outlined in our contract were never delivered as promised. After repeated concerns, I was assured in writing that I would receive a 100% full refund if unsatisfied.

Eventually, they sent me a formal “Project Closure & Refund Confirmation” document stating that I would receive a total refund of $5,042, to be paid in three installments. The first installment was to be processed upon signing, with the remaining payments scheduled shortly after.

I signed and returned the document.

They sent the first payment.

Then they stopped responding.

No second payment.
No third payment.
No communication.

Despite having a signed written agreement outlining the refund terms and timeline, they have failed to follow through and have not responded to attempts to resolve the matter.

In my experience, this company makes strong promises, puts things in writing when pressured, but does not follow through on commitments.

If you are considering working with Berkley Publishing, I strongly recommend doing extensive due diligence and ensuring you protect yourself legally before sending any money.

They have taken $200 of my hard earned money and now will not respond to any emails, text messages or phone calls. They offered an option of 360 manager last year and will not respond there either. This is Feb 2026 and they have not responded to me since last year. I would have to conclude that they are scammers. Jordan, Danny Fisher, Millie, just to name a few are representatives that I have previously spoken with

I am currently working with Berkleys publisher’s company and I am not happy at all they have been having my manuscript since 10/11/25 it’s now February we are just now reviewing the last chapter and now their telling me I need to pay for additional services to publish my book that wasn’t in my contract they have pressed me about buying more platforms and other service I didn’t ask for and am constantly refusing. I asked for a publishing date from my so called project manager Brian and he told me the mid January it would be published and I’m still not published I spend most of our phone calls fussing with several different team members rather then discussing my book it’s always about me paying more money and then saying they can’t move forward with publishing until I pay for their additional services I didn’t ask for. They keep talking about all these different promotions and packages that the company never advertised. I pard for the silver package which was the highest package at the time of purchase. Now all of a sudden there’s been a new package added that supposedly be better for me… I asked for a refund and nothing

Not in NY they are in California or India...they are a scam agency that uses AI to produce phony editor reviews and will take your hard written manuscript, the one you pay them to make it better and screw it up. Complain and they will promise a refund that they will never deliver...you will NEVER see your money back...a RIP-OFF!

Total and absolute scam. Paid in full and over the course of a year had to fight to get a response, even scheduled calls went unanswered and each time I called in my so called project manager and his boss were “ out of the office” or in a meeting. When I complained they told me they’d call back in five minutes, basically they will tell you whatever they can to get you to hang up the call, but never move forward with your project.

AI generated crap, I spent more time fixing their mistakes... when I paid them for the other way around. Regret ever going near these clowns as they pump up with fake reviews. I supposedly spoke with the owner who promised a full refund...which never came...imagine that. STAY AWAY...if you are really interested in writing and publishing a book, take the time to learn the skills and do it yourself. There are many boiler room operations waiting to take your money.

No this isn’t a paid review but my own experience with Berkeley Publishers. I was abit hesitant at first and skeptical because so many publishing companies nowadays seem too good to be true. The experience at first started out with questions mark due to the person I was assigned to But then Mr. Noah Frazier came along and changed my whole experience as a first time author. The level of patience, respect and understanding he approached me with reassured me that I was in good hands and it wasn’t a scam. My book is now published and I can’t thank Noah Frazier enough for his help !! Check him out !!

They are not a legitimate company registered in the state of New York where their address is. Offered a package of $199 on Facebook for services of editing, formatting, publishing on KDP & Barnes & Noble for e-book, paper back & hardcover. After a man name James called me, he offered a “Bronze” package for $299 which included ISBNs. He then said I would need to pay additional $450 for the ISBN’s& barcodes.. I told him they cost $125 each and $295 for 10 of them and $25 for barcodes. He said I could buy them myself. I asked for a refund of $150 which I have yet to receive. The remainder would have been required after completion of their service.
Their editing was totally unacceptable and their so-called team suggested I pay for chapter illustrations I didn’t ask for. There advertising on Facebook is misleading.I asked for a refund on 9/24/2025. He insisted he would make corrections to my manuscript, but they failed to do so to my satisfaction and he has not refunded my payment. My first point of contact was Joshua.

I had messaged the person on the chatbot and they gave me zero solid evidence that proves the liability of the company. The address is fake, it is a fedex building which I called and they said no company of such is in the building. The person I talked to was rude and a complete jerk the entire time at one point even said he and his colleague were laughing at the conversation. Zero professionalism if I could give it zero stars I would. Avoid this at all costs.

I was just contacted UNSOLICITED by someone who claimed he was a member of your publication team and when I explained I was not interested HE ATTACKED ME!! Got all defensive with foul language etc!!
His name is Kevin but that’s all I got!!
