There’s a lot of information to take on board. Two appointments on two consecutive days and I walked out with a pair of hearing aids matched to my needs, my iPhone linked via an app to my ear pieces, accessories and reading material. This is to be followed by another appointment very soon to check on how the hearing aids are doing.

The audiologist was very thorough and went to great lengths to make sure I understood what was going on. Tests and fittings were carried out with care and professionalism. A very comfortable experience.

After two days the aids are working well, I have charged the aids up, tracked the charging level on the app and have been able to put the aids in my ears and extract them with reasonable ease. Minor discomfort at times with “itchy ears” but I just took out the aids and let my ears rest.

Be aware that hearing aids are expensive but take into account the apparent quality, the back up service, warranty and additional insurance. Using a chart and by picking what you want from the hearing aid it was pretty simple to choose the most suitable one for me.

So far so good and my hearing has undoubtably improved.

I had my hearing tested and it was found to be deficient so I was advised about the different models of hearing aids. I decided on a model which although very expensive I was fortunate to be able to pay for. I am now wearing these aids and they have made a dramatic improvement to my hearing.

Boots is our favourite chemist in Dumfries. This was my second hearing test after many years. The Audiologist was frank and friendly and understood my hearing care/needs. This led to acquiring a new set of hearing aids - latest technology and top of the package. So far, although it's only a few days and I am getting used to, my experience has been good.

I had confidence in Hannah. She was patient, knowledgeable and I would not hesitate to contact her again should the need arise. She has a very pleasant manner.

As a first time user of hearing aids, I tried two other hearing services before coming to Boots. I arrived at Boots thoroughly confused about what would best suit my hearing needs. Hannah was super professional, an excellent listener and never once made me feel rushed. The information that she took was the most detailed I had been asked for.
After the test I was given advice/recommendations on what would support my hearing best but assured that I should take time to think. Not once did I feel under any pressure whatsoever. After purchasing, I needed a little adjustment in dome size. I was given a next day appointment to make some tiny changes. I have been left with the impression that nothing is too much trouble. At last, an audiologist who genuinely and objectively seemed to have my best interest at heart.

I am really impressed by the service I received. The very thorough hearing assessment and the knowledge and very clear explanations throughout by the lovely lady who dealt with me. She guided me through the whole process and I was delighted with the results. I really was astonished by how clearly I could hear when she fitted me with the hearing aids that the results from the testing had showed would be just right for me. Perfect.

Need to stoo pushing the most ecpensive hearing aids and advise about lower prices ones as well, i was with my elderly father and if i hadnt been there he would have been pushed to the more expensive ones.

Hannah was very professional friendly and explained the whole procedure with the hearing test and the results on the screen.

The staff member put me at ease right from the beginning, she is so knowledgeable about the industry and the products. She is very patient and made sure I understood the instructions of use etc. She talked me through battery life and recharging, cleaning, care and day to day use. She showed me how to insert the hearing aids and what to look for if they're not in correctly. She also helped me to download the app and showed me how to use it. I had a really good experience and would highly recommend.
