Melissa at Boots Hearingcare, Newport, Isle of Wight was excellent. She answered all my questions in a thoroughly professional manner.

Meliissa Jane Kelly was extremely thorough and very helpful. I learnt a lot about my hearing! The service is excellent at her clinic. Would highly recommend, very friendly and makes you feel at ease with the process and explains everything very well.

I was nervous about having a hearing test but Sam Edwards at Newport Boots put me at ease straight away.He diagnosed my necessary needs for Crossover aids, which he supplied.I now have perfect hearing again,and feel confident when socialising.

My mother of 90 required hearing aids and the service at Boots, Newport Isle of Wight was absolutely brilliant. The practitioner, Melissa Kelly was professional, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable with all aspects of the process and we are very happy with the products and the difference it has made to my mother's daily life.

My husband and I have different but complex hearing issues. Sam Edwards not only addressed these but really listened to our differing needs. Throughout our initial meetings he was highly professional and did not stop to sort our problems to achieve the right result for us. So pleased we decided to go down this route. As an aside he has a great personality and is extremely easy to relate to. Very well done indeed Sam.

The receiver on one of my hearing aids broke on Easter Saturday. I went to Boots in Newport, Isle of Wight, more in hope than expectation. Caitlin, the optician's staff member, checked the hearing aid, consulted with her Hearingcare colleague Melissa and was able to replace the broken receiver on the spot. Which meant I could talk to my grandkids over Easter! Excellent, dedicated customer service. My thanks to both.

Thinking about having hearing aids was my worst nightmare. I was very resistant. Sam Edwards made the process safe and professional. We also had a laugh. The whole Isle of Wight team have been great, helping out when I had an issue. I whole heartedly recommend them.

Took my mum to boots hearing care!!!!!!Meliisa Kelly amazing she was patient made the appointment fun which helped my mum…explained everything and re clarified..has amazing gift with people….honest regarding the initial hearing aids and understood mums atheritic fingers…on follow up suggested different that was easier for mum causing less anxiety getting her hearing aids in…been on numerous occasions to check in to see how things are…the best customer I have seen in a long time…clear simple how information was delivered..Melissa has such a lovely personality and way about her that put mum at ease!!!! We need more Mellissas in the world

So pleased I chose Boots Hearing for my new hearing aids. The Isle of Wight branch have been wonderful, all staff very helpful, caring and thorough.

Having succumbed to the need for hearing aids I visited my local Boots. From an initial test to a full hearing test I found staff explained every stage of the process and were a friendly team. When my need was confirmed I was offered a good choice of aids. No pressure was put on me to choose any particular model and when i made my choice I was given a pair to try out in store and outside with traffic noise. Happy with my choice an order was placed with collection the following week.
On collection everything was explained in detail and the aids were linked to my phone and iPad.
There is a four year warranty to cover defects and I took out insurance to cover other possible issues.
Highly recommend the team at Boots as well as the products.

I had two hearing assessments with Melissa Kelly at Newport, Isle of Wight. I experience mild hearing loss confirmed by the tests; but Melissa said it was mild to moderate.
I passed (or coped) with the Speech in Noise test, which surprisingly Melissa did not comment upon. To my astonishment, Melissa concluded the test by referring to a "prescription" for the most expensive Platinum option £3,400. This was described as necessary for my social life, which as explained to her was limited to restaurant meals in quiet surroundings. My dislike of sudden loud noises was also harnessed to suggest the device would magically stop any reaction. Her advice about using olive oil based sprays (not chemicals) was helpful. I had some difficulty following the medical explanations. If I needed a hearing aid, the Essentials option at around £590 was sufficient or an NHS equivalent. Melissa said the NHS was 7 years behind in technology. AI suggested 3-4 years. Professional job but ultimately a sales pitch for an expensive, unnecessary bit of kit.
