Excellent service from extremely nice staff

The help and advice I had I didn’t realise I would need hearing aids talk to me through it Now I’ve got hearing aids have to go back for a follow-up

Very impressed. Appointments on time, audiologist very thorough, reassuring and provided excellent customer service.

Took my father in law for a hearing check, he had been wearing hearing aids for a number of years which were purchased from another High Street opticians.
We went to the Shrewsbury branch and saw Alison who was absolutely fabulous.
She was very informative explaining everything in a calm and concise manner. She was very patient and listened and answered all our questions.
After the fitting, the new hearing aids exceeded all our expectations and for the father in law a life changing event. We went out for lunch to test them and for the 1st time in months had a conversation which father in law could hear and get involved with.
Huge thanks to Alison her expertise was crucial, can't speak highly enough, wonderful service thank you so much.

Both ladies who dealt with me were kind, efficient and friendly. I felt totally relaxed and interested in what they were doing.
I think a little more information regards charging, turning on and off would have been helpful. I was able to work it out but a less technically confident person may have been afraid to try.
Special mention of Jayna who was fabulous.

What made my experience great is simple, the audiologist! Somia Farooq made me feel totally at ease at what was a very important consultation for me. I was frustrated by my lack of hearing and desperate for help. Somia came across as a true professional with a great balance of personal approach and technical expertise. She tested my hearing, explained my deficit and then opened long closed doors with a pair of Phonak Audeo Sphere hearing aids - bliss!

Well found Somia very professional - gave a clear explanation of the whole process and took enough time to enable me to understand the instructions needed for the future visits - all going very well so far 👍

Jayna was very professional and provided extensive advice and insights into the best approach to addressing my hearing issues.

My appointment was at 1.30 p.m. We had travelled a long way but were on time. The front of house person named (Stefan) appeared to sign me in. I was asked to sit and wait at the front of the shop. After 15 minutes I approached him about the delay. He said "I've signed you in and you will have to wait for her she is in there!" He pointed to another waiting area where I waited a further 5 minutes. I asked him who would I ask and he replied it was nothing to do with him, he had signed me in I would have to wait. I found his manner very arrogant, rude and unhelpful. A young lady came from behind the door and called my name - at long last. ONLY - SHE DID NO KNOW I WAS THERE,HAD BEEN WAITING FOR ME THINKING I HAD NOT TURNED UP! I HAD NOT BEEN SIGNED IN AT ALL.
This awful person nearly lost Boots a customer who is going to spend a few thousand £'s on a hearing aid. He needs to learn people skills and have staff training to correct his negative attitude!

Very professional and everything was explained very clearly very pleased with the service

Have found making follow up appointments really bad have had three appointments cancelled. I am having to wait 2 weeks even though one hearing aid is not working correctly. All staff have tried to be helpful not their fault and get they must be taking a lot of criticism from clients.

Extremely helpful and efficient. Very tight deadline but Somia pulled out all the stops and did a superb job. I highly recommend this service .

Mum had previously been to the Wrexham and Chester branches. When her aids suddenly changed settings we booked at Shrewsbury where Somia Farooq sorted everything out and went above and beyond to get things sorted out. It turned out the previous 2 appointments had not uploaded her records correctly so after waiting over an hour on the phone she managed to get things done. She is an absolute credit to her employer and she deserves a huge merit and thank you. All mum's future appointments will be at Shrewsbury Branch.

Just had initial consultation with audiologist Somia Farooq in Shrewsbury and first impressions are excellent. She was thorough in her examination and explained complex stuff simply and well.

The hearing aids they sell (Phonak) are life changing. I am able to keep up with conversations whether it is a one to one or a group setting. This in turn has increased my confidence hugely!

Special mention must be made for their Audiologist Somia Farooq. Her knowledge, professionalism and above all else, natural empathy shone through. She listened carefully to what my needs were and knew exactly which hearing aids would suit me best. Nothing was too much trouble especially as I needed them for my sons wedding which was the following week. She ensured that I had them in plenty of time! Incredible!

It was clear to me that Somia’s approach is always her customers needs must come first! She is a huge asset for Boots Hearingcare! Don’t lose her!
