I have been using Boots Hearingcare in Shrewsbury for about 5 years and their service is exceptional!

The hearing aids they sell (Phonak) are life changing. I am able to keep up with conversations whether it is a one to one or a group setting. This in turn has increased my confidence hugely!

Special mention must be made for their Audiologist Somia Farooq. Her knowledge, professionalism and above all else, natural empathy shone through. She listened carefully to what my needs were and knew exactly which hearing aids would suit me best. Nothing was too much trouble especially as I needed them for my sons wedding which was the following week. She ensured that I had them in plenty of time! Incredible!

It was clear to me that Somia’s approach is always her customers needs must come first! She is a huge asset for Boots Hearingcare! Don’t lose her!

Took my hearing aid in on 15th August for minor repair, still heard anything by 29th August, had to call and discover that it wasn't sent away until 21st August.
Terrible customer service. In the last couple of years I gave noticed a decline in boots hearing care after service. I would not recommend having hearing aids from Boots. I shall be going elsewhere for my new hearing aids.

Courteous, informative consultation with knowledgeable practitioner.
Not rushed.
Took time to explain.
Various options given and discussed.
Felt confident and reassured.
Follow-up arrangements made and a degree of future -proofing in place.

Bit of a rush I felt that I required a bit more time to evaluate the situation with the information provided, I made a decision at the assessment with the hope that my earring with tinnitus would improve hopefully it’s early days yet to really evaluate the benefits, The information provided was very professional carried out and to find a satisfactory outcome with my situation.

Somia Farook saw me from start to finish for my new hearing aids in the Shrewsbury branch. Fantastic, clear advice in easy to understand terms too. I was sceptical at first of the aids, but am really very pleased and now don’t want to be without them. Highly recommend Sonia.

I saw Somia Farooq for my annual check and I found her to be a very pleasant and helpful young lady who put me at ease straight away. I had to return a few days later without an appointment and Somia managed to fit me in without too much delay and for that I am extremely grateful.

Recently visited on planned appointment. The audiologist I met was Sonia Farooq. Amazing. She was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Set up my hearing aids paired to my phone. Very impressed. Thank you. Ken Knowles.

Everything explained in detail and choices offered.

During the last few months I have booked a hearing test (tests) and had very poor service accordingly
I would never recommend BOOTS ever again
My reasons as follows,
First one CANCELLED at short notice no explanation given re booked accordingly
Second one CANCELLED at last minute on my way
Recieved message booked again
Third appointed today 16/11/2023 time 9.30 a.M
Arrived punctual to learn “yes you guessed it”
CANCELLED for a third time. Stated they
phoned me at 9.00am had left home at 8.40 for this
appointment that was good service.?

Considering my age I am 89 years old having to get up
early I received from the staff an Apology,
Left to travel back home.
What a Shambles and disgrace from a Company as
“BOOTS” The final outcome no hearing test

The audiologist was fully prepared for my appointment. His manner was relaxed, yet attentive and with humour. He understood that I felt awkward and uncomfortable about my hearing loss and the perceived stigma of wearing hearing aids. Hearing tests were fully explained. All hearing aids were laid out in front of me and advantages and disadvantages of them were explained to me. Boots ‘Payment Options’ booklet ensures that I can easily afford my choice.

No waiting. My appointment was bang on time

Friendly and factual interview . All my questions answered and clear explanation of range of aids. A very pleasant experience.

Lisa was very thorough with her assessing my hearing, attentive, calming and assuring. Came away with confidence.
