Avoid. I used Boulter & Co for a conveyancing. My experience is that they are decent enough people, but take on far too much work and need constant nagging to get anything done, which is frustrating and stressful. I am currently paying a bill for £645 to the freeholder for work carried out before I bought the flat because it was missed off the accounting Boulter & Co should have done and now I cannot get a response from them at all.

I purchased a property with Boulter And Co LLP. Sally Louca was honest, reliable and held my hand every step of the way. I had obstacles on the way however she made the sale run very smoothly and I felt very protected. 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been waiting to exchange contracts for our house. Items have been missed which has caused a long delay. They have given no updates. They never call you back after leaving 15 messages over 3 days!
Unprofessional service

We hired Boulter and Company to do the conveyancing on a house sale and purchase. We encountered a number of problems during the sale and purchase which made us question why we used them in the first place but the big problem reared its head nearly three years after we bought our new house.

It turned out that Sally Louca who was was the lead conveyancer had read all the legal documents the wrong way round which has ruined our enjoyment of our home. We believed we owned two fences in fact we owned neither. We believed our garden was private but in fact, our neighbour has a right to come in whenever he wants to do work on his house without notice. A driveway whose upkeep we thought was shared by two neighbours is in fact shared with an entire estate of houses. Basically, we have been left with a huge mess of problems the fallout of which is still ongoing.

To make matters worse Boulter and Co did everything they could to try and get out of paying for their mistakes and dragged their heels every step of the way with our complaints. After repeated attempts at getting a positive response, we had to resort to starting court action. Eventually, after they again tried every trick in the book to avoid paying us decent compensation for their errors we finally agreed on an out-of-court settlement in our favour.

So the motto of the story is to avoid this company like the plague if you want someone who can actually read the most basic legal documents because you could end up in a similar nightmare situation.

I used Boulter & Co on a recent purchase. We were racing to complete within the Stamp Duty holiday and had the great fortune of having Sally Louca of Boulter & Co in our corner. She pulled out all the stops to make the deadline, chasing the vendors' solicitors constantly, all while making sure that everything that could be done at her end was done in advance, so that for each step it was always the other side holding us back, and as soon as they would come through, Sally would be ready to press to move to the next stage. We made it in time, saving a huge amount of tax. Absolutely first-rate service and I cannot recommend the firm (and Sally) enough.

Sally Louca was dealing with our purchase and was so helpful during the whole process. When there were issues with our chain Sally kept us updated at all times and without her this chain would have collapsed. Sally was reachable 24/7 and worked really hard to make sure we get our dream home and exchanged as well as complete before the stamp duty holiday deadline. Highly recommended!!!!

At all times Andri was very professional in her approach and replied to my emails or texts straight away when possiible, not my experience of Solicitors in the past :-)

I had an awful service from John Appleton at the Enfield branch. Whilst trying to sell my shop he was acting as the landlords solicitor and caused all party’s involved delay, stress and extra money.
He was very difficult to get hold of, when we did, he was so slow in completing tasks to the point my solicitor completed them for him to speed it up. He also put incorrect information on the lease which slowed things down and caused extra work.
It took 5 months for the sale to complete which should have been very straightforward.
Never use him he caused us so much stress and cost us extra money.

We have used Boulter and Company (Andrew Joannides) for both Business and Personal conveyancing over 20+ years and would never even entertain the thought of using another company.
Andrew has always been very approachable, professional (but with a friendly relaxed manner) and prompt with his service. His fees are very competitive and worth every penny. Andrew and his team are not just conveyancers, they are solicitors, which means they go through the reams of legal paperwork and point out any pitfalls or issues, they do not expect you to go through it all and find them for yourself, unlike some other conveyancers. We have so far used Andrew and his company for 10/11 private property transactions (Buying and selling) and 2/3 business transactions over the years. We have recommended to friends, family and business partners who have also used Andrew for their own transactions and we all agree that we cannot fault him or his staff. Would most definitely continue to recommend.
