Just wanted to leave a review to say what a fantastic service Butler and Stag have provided us and a shout out to Paul. We have had a terrible experience with Winkworths and had lost all trust with estate agents but Paul helped us regain this trust with lots of support and advice. Can't recommend them enough, thank you Paul!!!

Having just made the move to the UK from Norway, my personal circumstances required additional support and patience from the team at Butler & Stag as I secured a rental property and finalised a tenancy agreement, yet Simon Harrington & Sophie Chumbley were exceptional throughout.
Smart, kind, highly responsive, and extremely knowledgeable partners, they were both integral to my finding and securing a fantastic new property here in London.

I highly recommend Simon, Sophie, and the whole team at Butler & Stag for any property needs anyone may have in the future.

Paul and I clicked the moment we met. I believe he is genuinely interested in what I care about for my property.
The company was also able to help me when I got almost scammed from another contractor for the EICR repairs.
Inventory check company they use is fantastic, they were very thorough!!!
So far I have been more than satisfied with Butler and Stag and hope it is the beginning of a long lasting collaboration.

Butler & Stag represented a shared ownership flat we were purchasing. David at B&S gave excellent customer service, we stayed in touch through him with the sellers throughout the whole process which made things much easier. David always responded to queries and chased all solicitors involved promptly. David was friendly, professional and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

Paul Curtis and his team at Butler & Stag Bow recently listed a rental property for us. The service we received was second to none - professional, detailed, innovative and efficient from the moment they were instructed and throughout the process of finding tenants. Excellent communication and advice along with friendly, professional service. I would highly recommend!

The team were very helpful and always available for any questions I had. In the beginning George Newmarch-Stillwel was a great help then getting the deal done Helga Hanning has been a star chasing up both sides to help get over the line!

Finding a rental property in London is a notoriously horrible and stressful task. But not with Butler & Stag! Simon and Lauren made the search for my new home entirely manageable and even enjoyable. The team is great to deal with - super helpful and responsive. But most of all, they are reasonable - a quality which is increasingly rare in the London property market. I love my new home and I can't thank Simon and the team enough.

I had to sell at a distance so relied on B&S to arrange access for viewings, house clearers, final utility readings etc. All very helpful but a particular shout out to Helga.

Simon, Lucy and the lettings team were very helpful throughout the process. Friendly, professional and very efficient to deal with. Thank you.

I was told one thing and the small print says something different.

You still have to pay even if they do not sell your property.

I would like to add that this reply from B&S entirely misses the point.

I appreciate that costs are involved. It is completely unfair that you charge a fee (a hefty £600!!!) when there has been no sale. However if this is how you work, so be it. The issue is that verbally upon instruction we were told "no sale, no fee".

Only to find out 2 months after our contract term ended that you are now chasing me for a payment. The fact it has taken 2 months is proof that even some of Butler and Stag themselves do not know about this ridiculous cost. I am so incredibly disappointed with this service. To be misled in such a way is disgusting.

We did not terminate the contract early. We also did not engage any other agent whilst in contract with B&S. We were quite simply misled because what we were told differed from the small print. I do appreciate that we signed the contract and should have noticed this but equally such a big cost should have been made very clear upfront.

We were also told that the contract term was 12 weeks only to find out it is actually 16. Again, this is not too much of an issue of itself (though it is long). The problem is that we were told something different.

My advice to others - enter with eyes wide open.

B&S have now fully resolved my complaint. I found the director to be reasonable, patient and understanding. I sent a very long email which I wasn't sure would be read because I'm sure he is very busy but was pleasantly surprised by a very fast response. He said that customer satisfaction is taken very seriously by B&S and proved this much through the positive resolution.

Moved into my first flat in London with the help of Butler & Stag, got it quickly, and sorted all the necessary details with the help of managers Lauren and Freddie. One of the most calm experience I've had which is very important for me

Buttler and Stagg is a very professional state agency. They are very reliable, efficient and organised. I was selling my flat via them and the buyer decided to stop the process of the transaction 4 months after we commenced the process, I have had some financial difficulties and its very useful to have a pro-active, efficient team dealing with your property when things are tricky for customers. Bradley, Simon, Sophie, Oliver, Lucy, Rheanna, Carina and the team are very helpful and highly recommend Butler & Stag

Lauren T from butler & stag buckhurst Hill is a top class employee. When I moved into my new build flat there were quite a few challenges I faced, Lauren toke the pressure of me & toke care of them all, she’s super efficient, Knowledgeable and extremely hardworking, super pleasant and able to work under pressure - she was available out of office hours to make sure I was okay, which meant allot. She’s a good asset to her company. Thank you Lauren for all your help.

Butler & Stag were a rock for us, through the letting and selling of our property. We had lots of bad luck in the process, and they supported us through all of the twists and turns with patience, perseverance, and above-and-beyond support.

A special shoutout to Helga. We couldn't have done it without her. She is amazing at her job, super communicative, frequently going beyond her remit to give us extra guidance and support. We also had great support from Oliver, Rob and Bradley.

We also have experience with many other agents, and B&S were by far the most communicative, trustworthy, personable and hardworking.
