We are truly sorry to hear about your daughter’s experience, and we hope she is feeling much better now. We were especially touched to hear that she chose one of our pieces for such a meaningful occasion, and we completely understand how disappointing it must have been not to be able to wear it for Eid.

We would like to clarify that your daughter did reach out to us, and our team responded as soon as we were able. As outlined in our policy, returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery, and unfortunately her request fell outside of this timeframe, which meant we were unable to process a return on this occasion.

We always aim to support our customers where possible, and we do understand that this situation was due to unexpected circumstances. We are sorry that this could not be resolved in the way you had hoped.

Regarding communication, during Ramadan, particularly towards the last ten days, we experienced a significantly higher volume of enquiries than usual, which did impact response times. However, we want to reassure you that we do not ignore any messages, and we always work through every enquiry as quickly as possible.

Regarding delivery timing, our website clearly outlines a processing time of 1–3 working days, followed by standard shipping of 3–4 working days. These are separate stages, which together can total up to 7 working days depending on when the order was placed. We fulfilled and dispatched your order within our stated 1–3 working day processing timeframe. Once an item has been shipped, delivery times are handled by the courier and are unfortunately outside of our control, and in some cases may take slightly longer than anticipated.

In terms of exchanges and returns, our policy explains that we offer refunds or exchanges where an item is faulty or where an error has occurred on our part. For circumstances such as sizing preference, return shipping costs fall under the responsibility of the customer. This is clearly outlined in our returns policy prior to purchase.

We are pleased to hear that you were happy with the abaya itself despite this miscommunication, as we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our pieces.

We would like to clarify that we do not have the ability to manually create additional orders or charge a customer’s card without a completed checkout. For security and GDPR compliance, we do not store customers’ card details on our website, and all payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers such as Shopify Payments, Stripe, or PayPal.

In rare cases, what can appear as a duplicate charge may be a temporary authorisation or a repeated checkout attempt, which is handled automatically by the payment provider rather than by us directly. As soon as this was identified, we processed the refund accordingly.
