I guess it depends on whether you are a buyer, seller or have had no choice but to sell through them because of a park owner’s agreement.

The fees they charge are more than UK estate charge, for example, to sell a mobile home for £60K they charge £6000 inc vat ……that’s just off the chart. Here is the chart….

If you’re the buyer you can bet your bottom dollar that the sellers fees have been added to the asking price making it way higher than it’s true worth.

If there’s anything that you don’t know then ask anyone other than a Caravans in the Sun representative. The ones I have encountered have no real estate experience, no mobile home technical knowledge and will say anything for a sale. They are now offering homes for sale on plots with no utilities as yet but heaven knows how long that will all take.

As for customer services, well, forget it. 4 years to get some door hinges sums it up.

We were welcomed by the lovely Kiki who was super helpful showing us around Saydo Park. We learned lot about what life would be like living there. She had wealth of knowledge and answered all of our questions. We cannot thank her enough.

Had a tour with Kiki at Saydo park. Kiki was wonderful. She showed us more than we booked and went out of her way to show us that we’re not listed just yet. Explaining everything about the park and all the new work taking place.
Kiki is friendly and talkative which really made us feel at ease.

My husband and I visited Saydo Manhattan expecting it to be another conventional park home. What we found was a lovely surprise. The homes were detached bungalow style traditional type homes.
Anthony was amazing, he took us to view all the different types and sizes of home and explained everything that was planned for the future for the site.

We spent the day at Saydo Manhattan yesterday in Malaga close to Mollina.
Arranging this through Anthony on the park. He was so friendly and communication was excellent. He let us know there would be a film crew there that day and asked our permission which we were happy with. Also Kiki a new member of staff was joining him. I cannot express how warm, welcoming and lovely they were. We had such an informative honest view of the park and visited all different options available. We were so well looked after, breaking for drinks. No timescale no rush all questions answered no hard sell. Obviously the park is still under development but what we seen was amazing. The views stunning surrounded by olive trees and so peaceful. We were also treated to a trip to nearest town which was beautiful very Spanish feel which is what we are looking for. We shared a lovely tapas lunch with Anthony Kiki and the film crew. It was so lovely to just be informal and chat. I honestly felt like we made real friends with all of them. And to be treated to such a lovely lunch was fantastic! We will definitely be looking at all options and both felt almost instantly that that was where we wanted to buy. Anthony and Kiki are a credit to their employers I hope they recognise that. The best house viewing I have ever had

Me and My partner decided this year was the year to buy something to call our second home. After searching everywhere we found Caravans in the Sun. After much communication with James in the UK branch we decided that Tuscany was the perfect fit for what we wanted.
The communication was brilliant always on point with not just the UK branch but also William in Tuscany.
We were able to check in earlier and the staff at the reception were welcoming and friendly.
The lodge we stayed in was clean and in a quiet location of the park. Unfortunately we arrived just after the storm. There were some fallen trees and the road within the park was washed out. We could clearly see that the staff were working hard to get everything back to the way it was before the storm.
The park is lovely, beautiful , quiet and has the tranquil feel about it. Everything you need from a place such as this.
We met up with the sales manager William on our first day. He kindly showed us all the lodges we wanted to see. His honesty and professionalism was outstanding. William has a great knowledge about the area and the tips were extremely helpful.
Thanks to William for being patient and going an extra mile for us to have the full experience as guests or future residents.
The only issue we had with (and that’s why we couldn’t give you five star review) was the maintenance guy Eduardo’s attitude. On the first evening we did not manage to get our boiler working. Meaning no hot water to have a shower. We walked to reception to get the mobile number of the staff who was on duty. After few attempts to get someone on the phone, we gave up and walked back towards the lodge. On the way we bumped to Eduardo and with help of google translate we managed to explain that we need some help regarding hot water. Literally all we got back was shouting and the google translate managed to catch few wards such as we are not the priority and he has stuff to do. He also said that he should supposed to finish work an hour ago. We do understand that sometimes the work can be stressful and guests can be a hard work. We are both working in the hospitality and trust me we do know. However a kind word and being polite goes a long way.
He really needs to learn and understand that the guest and residents on the park pay his wages. To be fair he shouldn’t be working in public areas or dealing with guests.
After the abuse we decided to boil some water and have a wash in the kitchen basin.
Next day we reported the issue to William and he send someone to check the boiler. He also apologised for Eduardo’s behaviour.
Overall our experience was amazing. We loved the park and we decided to go ahead and seal the deal with William and loved the Lodge we have purchased and the fact that we can modernise and upgrade certain aspects is a great factor. We love Italy and have found the perfect location to explore from with Toscana Village
We are looking forward to come back soon and making many memories in Toscana Village

After being miss sold a home in Malaga which was suppose to be my dream I’ve been left with the after effects of this scamming lying company they showed me plans of the home and the decking through out the purchase not only have they gave me the wrong home the park owner has stated he never agreed to the plans cits sold me the decking now has to be taken back which leaves me enough room for a lemon 🍋 cits insist the park owner signed off the plans the park owner insisted he hasn’t I’ve requested I don’t know how many times for a copy of these plans which cits now say they have put away in their file (liars ) the park is a beautiful park and the owner is fair how the owner is still allowing cits to sell on these park I don’t know
I was in bed one morning on my own in the home and I heard the voices of men on my plot I looked out to see William Kay and his side kick ready to remove my decking I was shocked and told them to do one now they are refusing to respond to my emails phone calls and Brian the agent who told us from his own mouth he didn’t trust his boss William Kay has now blocked me I am suing this company my name is Donna McGuire I live in Plymouth Devon I’m on Facebook I’d appreciate any of you on here to email me with concerns I can put you into a very very good solicitor who works in Spain and the uk I would also recommend reporting this company to the financial ombudsman and trading standards and action fraud
I guarantee this time next year their be running under a different name of mobile homes abroad

Although some people have stated that they’ve had good experiences with this company— I would not recommend them to anyone. Their caravans are overpriced, their customer service is very poor, they don’t respond to emails, their fees are extremely high, and they are very poor with resales when you’re ready to sell your unit. Mines been listed for sale for five months and hasn’t been shown even once by their part time representative. I just can’t continue to make excuses for their poor performance. They claim to have exclusive resale rights on the caravans in the park, but this was not explained to me nor did I sign off on this when I purchased my caravan. This company has built a closed loop system where they control everything from purchase to resale. So you basically have no control over the money you’ve invested in your caravan and the park. It can leave your investment at risk.

In my opinion, it would be wise to steer clear from this company. There are so many other companies In Spain with much better service . Unfortunately I am to the point of having to hire legal representation to address the issues I have with this company. So beware.

UPDATE—10/2024. Although this company is really good at responding in a way that twist things around, Their response to my review is mostly incorrect. I haven’t received a response from this company in the last three weeks or directly from the company. And their part time sales rep told me she had pushed my concerns to the office and the manager. James the sales manager never responds to any emails and I’ve never had any correspondence or conversation with him. I do have a large email trail of correspondence and requests to the company and little action has been taken to sell my Caravan And is well documented. It is true that it’s been on the market for five months now and has not been shown by caravans in the sun. And has had very little promotion by the company. It is true that they have total control of the buying and selling process in this park (You can verify this information on their website) And the owners of the caravans have very little control of their investment if CITS Chooses to not promote your caravan. I find it interesting that even after this review that Caravans in the Sun has not contacted me directly, and they obviously have my contact information. I have proof of everything I’ve posted on this website and if they really cared about their reputation on custom service, they would contact me directly. Please do not be fooled by Their statements Without scrolling down through all of the buried negative reviews. There seems to be a common thread And negative experience by customers. And this new person Jon Has been hired to debunk all of the bad press that they’re receiving. I challenge caravans the in the sun and Their management to contact me directly if they’re really interested in addressing these issues. I’d be glad to provide you with all the proof I have Of my experience. I still caution people to do their own research and Be careful with this company.

Speedy and informative response to inquiries prior to making my decision to travel to view.
On site support team incredibly helpful, honest and no pressure sales tactics used during the selection / buying process on site.
Support with snag list prior to purchase, to identify any areas of concern with vans, and commitment to rectify.
Purchase process easy and straight forward, complete on day of viewing.
Offer of continual support if required after sale has gone through.
I would have no hesitation in recommending carivansin the sun when planning to purchase new or reused static homes. Good honest British company.

I was looking to buy a mobile home in Tuscany and found one with Caravans in the sun. Went to visit and stay on site and looked at the van I was hoping to purchase. Decided to buy and the process was so easy that i was the owner of the Caravan within 7 days of viewing. Caravans in the sun made it so easy and were very helpful. I would like to give William Kay special mention as he was very helpful form the time i enquired right to the to the day i purchased my Caravan. Also to Thanks to Vincenza at the UK showground, Chiara and her staff at Toscana for making the purchase very smooth.

I am very disappointed in this company.
I phoned a few weeks ago and asked to view a mobile home in El Rocio. I was told James would call me back and he never did. Very frustrating as I told them I am a cash buyer and had a limited opportunity to view.
I chose caravans in the sun as I had heard they are a reputable company sadly they have proved me wrong.

Quick and efficient, friendly and supportive.

Our experience of a purchase of a static residence on the Ria Formosa site near Tavira in Portugal was first rate. The representative on site of Caravans in the Sun (CITS), Lisa Hellak, gave us a brilliant service on the run-up to purchase, keeping in contact throughout the purchase negotiations with CITS and her hand-over when we finally took ownership was smooth and trouble-free. She also made our interaction with the site owners, in terms of contract settlement, effortless. Her husband, Martin, gave great service in terms of adjustments to the van in addition to post-purchase snagging. We would recommend purchase through CITS and, in particular the brilliant service from Lisa and Martin.

We recently bought a home in Portugal. We had missed out on a couple of occasions but this time we found our dream place. We love the area and want to spend more time there. The representative on site was really helpful, provided sound advice and facilitated a smooth purchase. When we came over to take over the van everything was sorted for us and it was hassle free. Many thanks to the team in Cabanas de Tavira, particularly Lisa and Martin.

Helpful all the way through and not pushy.
Everything was set up on site on chosen pitch to chosen layout to schedule.
Everything was as offered. On the sole problem, the plumber was on site immediately and rectified immediately.
Liaison with the site was perfection.

Where to start? The site is really nicely laid out. The vans are well arranged so there is no feeling of being a sardine. The long stay community is incredibly welcoming and friendly. The staff are so knowledgeable and helpful. The on-site restaurant/bar is a run by characters who make you feel one of them. There is a town close by that you can walk to in minutes that has a great locals bar, a pizza bar, and other restaurants - one with a large balcony looking over the countryside. On Saturday there is a small market selling local food.
We will be going back soon.

Caravans in the Sun are a great team, and always look after their customers. I'm looking to buy again soon and i will be going straight to the Caravans in the Sun team for their advise and guidance.

Our experience with caravans in the sun, from initial offer through deposit and completion, was both professional and efficient.

My experience with this company when buying my mobile home was stress free! I have had a great experience and would definitely use again.
