It was our first time selling and we were very disappointed by our experience with Chancellors.
On the first viewing the agent arrived at the same time as the buyer so we had no time to show them the house & point out the things we thought should be highlighted.

At the end of the viewing the agent left the house completely unlocked and the back door literally wide open. She had written my husband’s number down wrong so couldn’t get through, then after speaking to me didn’t wait for my husband to return (who was waiting in a coffee shop 5 minutes away).

Then a potential buyer knocked on the door, he said he had been trying to book a viewing but nobody had phoned him back. I then reached out the our agent and the viewing was formally arranged. This man was the man who ended up buying our house.

We had the photos redone as the first set really did not capture the house well at all, the second lot were so much better.

The paperwork and details were incorrect repeatedly from the start which was frustrating & slowed things down.

I raised these multiple issues with the branch manager & he was pleasant and polite, but it was the number of things that were below the acceptable standard which I feel warrants others being aware.

It was a very disappointing experience overall and made the situation of selling & buying a house much more stressful than it needed to be.
