Splinternieuwe Iphone ruilen voor een refurbished toestel?

Ik had een splinternieuwe iphone 16 pro max met een kapotte achterkant, deze wilde ze niet repareren alleen maar ruilen voor een (refurbished) toestel. Dit vind ik erg raar? Ik heb namelijk geen idee hoe oud dat refurbished toestel is of wat er mee gebeurd is. Ik snap niet dat ze een simpele reparatie zo willen oplossen. Ze hadden namelijk ineens de polisvoorwaarden veranderd. Verder zou ik aanraden dit niet af te sluiten. Je kan het beter bij je inboedelverzekering erbij zetten, veel goedkoper en makkelijker.

Wrongly handled claim

When i made claim for a stoken tablet the replacement was set up for a damaged tablet, which was to be handed back to courier. Coukd not be corrected that day

Remboursement effectué mais traitement trop long

J’ai bien été remboursée au final, mais la procédure a pris beaucoup de temps. J’ai dû relancer plusieurs fois la personne en charge de mon dossier pour obtenir un suivi. Une gestion que je n’ai pas trouvée trÚs efficace.

The process of claiming the device was


The process of claiming the device was not cumbersome and it was delivered the next day I reported it.
The device received work same as the lost one and I'm really excited for that.

Ik verzeker me telefoon wegens epilepsie en ben al sinds 2023 verzekerd .
Nu heb ik een claim nodig, odido heeft niks gezegd over polisnummer vernieuwen etc. Eigenlijk heb ik een verzekering van een telefoon die al 3 jaar oud is en niet in gebruik heb. Ik raad dit aan niemand aan. Nu heb 11 euro maandelijks betaald en dankzij hun moet ik nu 259 euro betalen voor scherm. Controleer alles want ze maken van een mug een olifant. Ik betaal jou geld en verwacht service hiervoor ook al is het een oude polisnummer jij hoort aan mij door te geven het is verlopen. Chubb was vroeger totaal niet zo maar nu DRAMATISCH

Although all my dues were not cleared in a single even though I provided all the evidence but people were super responsive when I raised it and quickly everything was sorted

I had an excellent experience with my claim. The entire process was handled professionally and efficiently, and I always felt well informed. A special thank you to the representative who assisted me—he went above and beyond to help, showed great patience, and made everything much easier for me. Even though I don’t remember his name, his support truly stood out. I really appreciate the high level of service and care provided. Thank you

I was happy about the delivery of my new phone in march 2026 , and the upgrade i received in the place of my phone was 3rd time replaced phone that updates untill 2030 . Though I have not moved on to the new phone as yet.
The claim is difficult to phone though to Chubb, being on the same SIM made it easier to get through.
Chubb still have not sent me new insurance papers and these ones dont have the phone I was changed and the date and no extension to how long they are going to give me the insurance date for.
I was able to go to the EE shop and they had the information on the computers as did Chubb insurance claim.
I am unsure and still need to phone them back on the matter as my full insurance I am paying for only will last now for so many months.
Chubb themselves were ok with me and made a £100 addition to my EE account due to unnatural harassment and care to me over the phone calls and the phone delivery, but it was not taken from my bills as yet on my EE account.
I was still grateful to be insured for a replacement but they should watch what they have ritten on their insurance papers and keep the paperwork updated in my hands not just there's.
I like to be insured for my property and the upkeep of it.
All in all I must say if everyone who looses there phone's and no's, keep yourselves a copy of all no's with your passport and another spare phone and SIM so they are able to put your no back on the SIM as they only deliver your replacement when you are back in the UK. Let them know before you leaves always helps in these cases.
