What an amazing place to stay.

Myself, my partner and our 2 dogs booked our stay to see in the new year, what a great decision that was. The Dolly Wagon was just perfect, so cozy and spotlessly clean in beautiful surroundings. Our dogs loved having the freedom of running around the allocated dog field, which was perfect. Keswick centre is just a 5 drive away or a 20 minute walk, with plenty of choice of pubs which serve delicious food. I would love to return in the summer months to experience sitting outside looking at the amazing views and to explore this stunning place more.

What a fantastic stay we had. Our plan to escape the commercialism of Christmas worked wonderfully. Westside Woodshed was perfect; a beautiful place in the middle of nowhere (but only 20 minutes away from civilisation - Penicuik). Thank you so much for the chance to experience your beautiful place. Have recommended this place to all friends and family!

I love that you can drill down to a particular type of trip or accommodation. On this visit I wanted to stay in a treehouse and Coolstays site makes it easy. Great choice of accommodation as well. We have also used the Late Deals and got a real bargain on a last minute weekend away.

I have been with Coolstays for a number of years and they get me not only a large number of enquiries but also many excellent bookings for my Cornish beach property, Buudha Beach House.. The Coolstays team are also very helpful with any tech. issues I have, Thank you Cooolstays for all you do.

A wide variety of properties are on this platform, you can easily search for specifics, such as with hot tub, or in a certain area. The descriptions are inviting and the booking process (not through this site) was easy.

Loads of properties to choose from, very easy to book. Would definitely recommend

Wow what a lovely cottage on a really well maintained estate! The walks from the door were amazing and kept us entertained all week! We arrived in storm Darragh but the cottage kept us warm and cozy whilst the storm raged. We have stayed in literally thousands of cottages but this was definitely one of the best equipped ! From the gorgeous crockery to the fabulously sharp knives and the beautiful toiletries it was fabulous!!!

Absolutely stunning! I am so glad I booked The Willow Hill for my partners birthday surprise, it was perfect. The lodges are beautiful, situated in the most gorgeous hill top overlooking the sea and the estuary. Our lodge "Robin Goch" was so clean, so tidy and so beautifully presented, I want to go back! The owners even went to the trouble of gifting us a gorgeous candle due to their being a fault in the room (which didn't affect our stay I must say), they went above and beyond! Would highly recommend staying here to anyone and everyone, perfect location, quirky, great hot tub, 5 stars!!

14 close family came together at the Boathouse to celebrate 2 of our 60ths. 11 adults 3 children. The house was perfect. Even Storm Bert didn’t cause us any issues there. The family room containing the snooker table was a big hit especially because of the weather. It is well equipped, warm & cosy. Having direct access to the beautiful cove’s small beach is fantastic. We even managed short walks on the coastal path that runs along the side of the property. Suzie the host has been a dream to deal with, responsive, helpful & informative. i would love to return in better weather & take advantage of all the house & location has to offer. I have no hesitation in recommending The Boathouse.

The house is beautifully presented, luxuriously appointed and we found it perfect for a 3 generation family birthday party. Loads of things for everyone to do, welcoming host, good communication before we arrived.

No stone was left unturned in order to make our stay perfect. The kitchen is so well stocked with all the condiments you could possibly wish for (brilliant kitchen for cooking)!-and I have never seen such a variety of teas and coffees. A delicious bottle of wine on arrival to go with our our pre- ordered meal ( we arrived late) helped to get us off to a very good start - candle lit dinner from Little Fish. Breakfast was delicious using the well stocked supplies and equipment. Having had my own interior design business I was blown away by the attention to detail. The furnishing, mirrors, lighting and bedding is exquisite. It is a beautifully quiet location with access to stunning walks - and some very good coffee shops. The Millstream Hotel restaurant (the one next to hotel) is a 2 minute walk and their kitchen was excellent - even without a huge amount of choice. I would go again in a heartbeat!

We stayed at Water Lily Lodge and it was absolutely fantastic. The cabin itself is beautifully kept, spacious and very comfortable to stay and sleep in - we didn’t want to leave! Peaceful lake side cabin with fire log and hot tube. All amenities provided for a pleasant stay with loads of recommendations via brochure for activities in local area. Add ons for special occasions was a lovely touch as we celebrated a marriage proposal. We are returning guests to the cabins managed by Browning Bros booked via Coolstays. Host Sarah was lovely and had good communication throughout booking process and stay; helpful and supportive with all enquiries. Highly recommend to all and will definitely stay again.

What Coolstays does is fake. We rented accommodation in North Devon in August. Very charming in the photos! On entering the house, we were met with the smell of drains and mould. The cottage was in a dilapidated state. We were able to prove everything with photos, but Coolstays refused to put the review online.
Obviously, only top ratings are allowed. This damages reliability to the extreme.

I would like to respond to your statement as follows: Your loyalty to the owner in all honour, but in this case this loyalty is directed against the weaker party to the contract, namely the renter. The only option left to the renter is to write a review of the property, for which he usually pays a lot of money. In our case, the awful smell in Philham Water Cottage in Hartland was so extreme, plus the dirt and dust. We fled after one night! And then you come along and want to protect the owner. It is quite obvious that you are putting your own business interests above the interests of the renter.

Coolstays is a fabulous company that really delivers! They deal promptly and thoroughly with issues that may arise for either guests or hosts.

Like previous reviewers I found the web site confusing and unhelpful. My husband had reveived a voucher for £250 for a significant birthday from his children and so started researching different locations and stays. It was very difficult to use the map and the price ranges quoted changed markedly once you were put through to the owners web site. We had thought that a voucher of this value would cover half the cost of a weeks stay in a small place for two people! - how wrong we were. Overall the prices for the properties seemed very expensive, ( in comparison with booking.com or other similar companies) and the voucher did not even cover the 2 night stay we chose. Having said that the place we chose was extremely nice and we had no complaints about the quality.
I did not like the way that we had to pay upfront and then reclaim the amount of the voucher from Coolstays - although having said that they refunded it within about 3 days.
I would suggest that if you are thinking of giving a voucher for a present do have a proper look at the web site first and bear this in mind.

As a recipient of a coolstays gift voucher on 29th August 2024 by email, I started researching this business. Having used several "Holiday Cottage" websites over the years, I knew what to expect but found this service to be lacking. Like other reviewers, I had difficulties with the country map of properties, the lack of the ability to filter results etc. Looking at the 3.5* Star Trustpilot reviews, the distribution of responses was heavily polarised between 5* and 1* and little in between. I decided to look at the detail and found that of the 56 Reviews:

Could I suggest that asking your property owners and your customers to share the same Trustpilot 'account' with their respectively different views is not going to correctly reflect what the paying customers' star ratings are. Your 3.5 star rating is heavily propped up by your property owners, not your customers. In fact your average rating by customer-users only is 2*. Your current hybrid system is not reflecting what your end users really think of your services.
