Sofa Hunting.

We have been hunting for a new sofa for a good few weeks. We went into multiple shops from
Independent to mainstream. Naturally DFS was a major contender for a sofa. We tried Farnborough and then tried Reading to see if anything was different. Stephen, Stephen was different. We walked in to Reading DFS fed up of sitting on sofas but with a clear idea of what we wanted a very specific idea. Stephen wasn’t initially pestering us which we all come to expect. You walk in the door and someone is down your throat. He wasn’t. We walked around once or twice then he politely asked if he could help. We explained our predicament and he was clear, polite, knowledgable, professional, friendly and relatable. After a long chat we left feeling more confident. A week later we returned confident that we wanted Stephen to sell us a sofa. The second time was much like the first but better. With coffee is his hands for us and an hot chocolate for my daughter and a more than happy attitude towards me, my partner and our daughter we sat down and he remembered everything we said the week prior. He built our sofa, the shape, design, colour and measurements exactly as we described a week before. Needless to say we spent £4000 thanks to him. Happily spent it! All in all a very good experience and Stephen was the man that made it happen. Would strongly advise asking for him when you walk in! A job well done!

P.S - Stephen I hope the football went well on Sunday!

It was a pleasant experience. There was no pressure (which you get in other stores). The salesman was very courteous. Would recommend this store.

Aga was very helpful and very pleasant personality. She knew exactly what we wanted and showed us examples of the recliners . Also the different fabrics . She was very knowledgeable about the different services that came with the purchase.

We received honest and clear advice from the sales person about the 2+3 sofas we ordered today. We hope that we receive the order as seen and agreed in 6 weeks time.

We have been looking for 2 small armchairs and a small sofa, dfs has a large stock and Agnieszka helped us to look through the options. Once we had decided on the items we were buying she explained the options and the extras we could buy. Choosing the fabric, colour and what legs/sliders that best suited our needs resulted in an excellent match and we quickly decided we would go ahead and buy the furniture plus the extras that were recommended. Delivery was included at a very reasonable cost. Altogether a very positive experience with a good value end result.

Good Range, Clear Pricing, Great staff

Sandra was so helpful knew immediately what I was looking for. I didn't feel rushed and was guided through all the options and choice. I was allowed to sit as long as wanted to get a feel for the sofa. Even got a coffee while I relaxed.
Even bought a new coffee table too. Brilliant service 👏

Today I went into my local Dfs store, the salesman was good informative and very helpful,and not pushy on selling any particular sofa, and trying his best to give us what we wanted even if the purchase was cheaper than what we was looking at, for me this is great costumer service putting the costumers needs before profit,

Good service from John. However I’d phoned the main phone line beforehand who told me that the sofa I wanted to see was at that store but it wasn’t

Also the website links kept breaking and the pictures for an extra seat are confusing
