Not trust worthy with warranty/guarantee

I purchased a Leather sofa from Durian on 12th Feb, 2023 for Rs. 2,70,000, Order no # SOHYD-2223-0086 from their showroom located in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The invoice warranty/guarantees for any manufacturing defects and service for 5 years. After 1 year 11 months since last 25 days we were experiencing one of the 2 seater sofa seat going too low down inside when seated towards one side. We raised a complaint with customer service online on 17th January, 2025 and they sent a person after one week for inspection. The inspection revealed the middle vertical wood support cushion foam between the two seats of the 2 seater sofa got misaligned and slid to one side due to not being fixed properly and so the investigator informed us that he will need to add further a small piece of foam on top of that to fix it and give it a little more firmness. The next day i received a call and followed by an email from Durian customer care demanding to pay Rs. 3000. This is totally unfair practice to charge customer for manufacturing defects and Rs. 3000 for a small piece of form (2 feet by 3 inches). Totally a eye wash with their 5 year warranty/guarantee. Please do not get mislead by their 5 year warranty/guarantee, it is not worth it. You will later regret and be surprised by their behaviour and tone in which they speak to customer once the product is sold. Sorry to say inspite of highly priced luxury furniture there is no genuine warranty/guarantee. They are not trust worthy.

After a long search for the right…

After a long search for the right furniture, I stumbled upon this incredible store. The selection was overwhelming in the best way possible, with so many beautiful options. The staff took the time to understand my vision and helped me choose a cozy sofa, accent chairs, and a stylish coffee table.

The sofa is incredibly comfortable, and I love how it fits perfectly in my space. It’s a great spot for family movie nights, and it has held up beautifully against everyday use. The accent chairs add a pop of color and are just as comfortable. My kids love them!

Delivery was flawless, and the team ensured everything was placed exactly how I wanted it. They were respectful of my home and even offered some styling tips. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to create a warm and inviting space!

I had the worst customer experience…

I had the worst customer experience with this company. Every interaction was filled with lies or proved to be useless. The bed I ordered arrived a week late, despite being promised each day that it would arrive the next day. When it finally came, it was missing parts. Each person I spoke to assured me they would resolve the situation, but they never did. I will never purchase from them again.

5 year warranty is a hoax

They offered a 5 year experience.
However, the sofa we bought developed issues twice so far (in 3 years) and they levied heavy charges both the times.

They are chor.

broken chair - Customer Service Person Never Arrives

Poor quality chair. Not real leather. One of the iron legs is broken and the chair is unusable. I have written to customer service at least 10 times in the last one month, but no person has arrived to address the issue. looks like their customer service is non existent or simply inefficient.

Cheap quality, Low Brand Trust and Value

Durian Sofa has cheap product quality and you realise this once you buy and start using the product. Don't go for Sofa as the material will get torn within a year near to stitches and the stitch will also come out. when you reach the service center, they will ask for money for material as they will then inform you that the material cost will be additional. This was Durian "unmatched" 5 years warranty, which they will never inform at the time of buying product. Low trust on the brand and pathetic service.

Durian is the worst brand.

Durian is the worst brand in furniture manufacturing market. Specially the Leatherette Sofas made of worst quality China make Leatherette within one year will look like street dog without hair. The sofa cover costs 75000Rs for three seater. It’s not worth buying this brand. Small parts they are not providing to customers and forcing customers to repair through them only with unreasonable pricing. Please don’t bye sofa from Durian

Worst site

Worst Customer Service

Worst Customer Service
My office chair developed a defect and the the durian executive visited my premises on 15th November 2022. I was informed that the same will be resolved within 10-12 days. It is more than a month and the issue has not been resolved yet. Nobody picks up the customer care number and I am tired of sending mails. Very bad customer service.

Very disappointed with the king size…

Very disappointed with the king size bed fitting, even movement the bed jerks and makes cranky sound

Durian Furniture is the Worst…

Durian Furniture is the worst possible place you can spend your money. An Ikea sofa (meant to be economical, less robust) is better quality than Durian (premium positioning and high priced).

Within one month of purchasing a sofa set (1.5L+), the sofa starts making a creaking sound every time someone sits on it. One of the metal legs rusts. The service team comes home after 3 months of complaining, stuffs the sofa with more foam without hearing what the problem is. Now, the sofa has also lost its comfort!! The creaking sound from the sofa frame remains.

Another couple of weeks are spent complaining. Nazneen, Deepak are actively involved. Some of their team mates misbehave on call (make statements like you don't know what a leather sofa is). anyway, after visiting their showroom and complaining again, they picked up the sofa from home. After 15 days of supposedly "fixing the problem", we went to the showroom to check the sofa. It is still making that creaking sound, every seat of the sofa has a different comfort level and the person responsible for getting the problem fixed is not there. The POC allotted has no idea about our complaints.

So, it's been 4-5 months since we complained for the first time (note our sofa was only one month old when we complained), and the servicing has not been completed.

Please don't get fooled by their sharp sales team that will promise you they'll assist with servicing. Don't get fooled by how professional their showrooms look. Take your money and go someplace else please. This store and its employees' non-customer centricity is not something you should deal with.

Edit: They will respond saying this is an exception and we will call you to resolve, but never call. NO call till date. Once again reiterating - this is their business model. Poor customer service is profitable for them and so they stick to it. Stay away from this brand please - all you future consumers

The delivery was quite late. Not sure if the reason was Covid.
The product is excellent. The finish is brilliant.
