Just want to say thank you to Michelle at Oak Grange for all your help and support. The service has been outstanding and Michelle has been so understanding throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend an Elan Home.

Friendly, helpful and supportive sales staff.

Currently been in our house for 2 weeks. Support from Rosie was great throughout. She explained everything and supported chasing solicitors to get the sale to complete when we needed it to. The site manager has been helpful in responding to the minor snags that we have encountered. We love the house.

We didn’t buy a new build we bought a poorly presented house with many many faults down mainly to poor and sloppy workmanship! Why a tradesman would stand back and say to him or herself ‘that job is complete’ when it’s quite obvious the job wasn’t satisfactory at all.
Window & French doors not sealed on the outside of the house.
Very poor quality door hanging
Hob loose in the worktop
Countless faults with the kitchen
Garage eaves need replacing as acid has damaged paintwork (Elan notified in November 2024)
Toilet flush pad needs redesigning ( Elan’s opinion) as whole panel opens when flushing
Bathroom mirror very loose on wall
Painting of walls pretty slapdash
Internal walls out of plumb by 8-14 mm, plasterer should have visited today but didn’t!

We’re now entering delay tactics on another level. Customer Care use all the ‘buzz’ words but there’s very little action. I seriously don’t think I will live long enough to see our NEW (joke) home finished to a satisfactory standard. POOR POOR POOR!!

The move was made so easy with the easymove and charlotte the solicitor.Michelle in sales was very informative,patient and helpful had it not been for her help with all the legal paperwork we couldn’t have done it. We are very appreciative of her help and needs regonition for her roll within elan homes

We've been in a few months now & are very happy with our new home. Tracy & Janet were both very professional & approachable throughout the buying process - both a credit to Elan. We've had a few niggles but weren't expecting perfection & all houses come with some issues. All ours have been quickly & easily rectified. Lynn & Vikki from the Customer Care team have both been very prompt & helpful in responding to any requests. Overall, a very positive experience & we'd thoroughly recommend Elan Homes if you're looking for a well designed & economical to run cosy new build.

Elans home is a great developer. They were very supportive and prompt in meeting our needs and request throughout the process. Happy to recommend them to any intending home owners.

I previously gave a glowing review when dealing with Rosie during the sales process which started in October 2023.
Unfortunately the drastic change in my review is down to the service post sale and by looking at other reviews, this seems to be a very common narrative.
After purchasing our house and upon move in we decided to pay for a professional snagger due to it being such an expensive purchase for us. The snagger who is now semi retired and from a high level construction background stated in his report “I’ve witnessed a shocking display of poor quality and clear lack of consistency. I’m disappointed to say the least but ultimately feel sorry for my client having to admire the spectacular failure of how not to present a brand new house. Not only have Elan Homes failed to meet the most basic of quality standards but managed to replicate it in every room?…quite remarkable considering the cost of the purchase”
I consider myself to be a reasonable person and did not expect a perfect house on handover, human error happens but unfortunately for us there were errors everywhere. And again, this wasn’t the biggest issue for us, mistakes happen, but it’s how they are rectified that makes the difference. However the issue has been Elan Homes actually caring about selling us a home with so many issues and trying to resolve these issues, it’s very apparent there is a clear lack of accountability within the after care team.
We moved into our house in August 2024 and of the 268 issues found by our snagger around 90% still remain outstanding.
We had a baby in January 2025 and instead of being able to enjoy maternity leave I’ve had to turn into an unemployed member of the Elan Homes project management team to even attempt to get outstanding snags completed and to date I’m hitting brick walls as they can’t even adhere to their own deadlines that they set. Not only have they failed to respond but they can’t even have the decency to communicate to state they have a delay, they apologise and aim to respond by a certain date. I’m unsure how they are called the customer care team when there is absolutely zero care provided by them.
I will continue to chase as I will not buy a house at an expected standard and settle for any less. I implore anyone who seems to be in the same situation to us to google ‘Elan Homes complaint procedure’ and follow this through with the NHBC who regulate the industry (and I can’t say I’m surprised that they haven’t received a 5* rating from the NHBC).
On another note our garden is completely unusable as no drainage was put in (we’re on a road of 12 houses and all houses are dealing with the same issue of having an unusable garden) so with some surprisingly lovely weather in March we cannot use this with our toddler effecting our family life (contrary to what they state on their website about their ethos for families and communities and houses built for us).
This is the first negative review I have ever left and it feels disappointing that I have had to, especially when this is regarding the most expensive purchase I have ever made.
It’s surprising that they have spent so much money on relocating their show home on the Hazelfields development yet we get people knocking on our door asking for our feedback before potential purchasers invest, should they have put any care into looking after our purchase the information I tell them would be a lot different.

I am a new home owner under Elan Homes. The customer service experience has been excellent. I had problem with my plumbing system and Elan responded very swiftly to my concerns and got it resolved in less than 24 hours. I can't be prouder to have Elan Homes as my Builders. Will recommend the company to prospective home owners 100%

Really poor quality homes, very badly designed, poor quality finish in the show homes, so cannot imagine the finish in the other homes.
They had definitely not paid a professional to dress the show homes. Wallpaper from The Range, really cheap furniture, colours too drab.
4 bedrooms in what should be a 2 up, 2 down, with a tiny living area.
Don't waste your time going to view these houses. (Just my opinion)

Nothing has changed from my last review , it’s worse if anything , 3 YEARS we have been waiting for our floor to be relevelled.
The delay tactics by elan are quite admirable !
Finally thought we were getting it fixed , contractor came out twice , went and quoted for the work. Told us they wanted to start work last October and were waiting on Elan for the go ahead .
Then Elan last week had the absolute nerve to try and tell us they needed to send the contractor round for an estimate again !
Nope I’m starting to think this will only end once my solicitor gets involved . Absolutely the worst customer service and company I’ve ever dealt with !
DO NOT BUY ONE !!

Purchase at Bamoral gardens was completed smoothly by the sales team and a month early, as we were in a temporary flat this was very welcome.
Handover went well with George the site manager particularly helpful , small fault list agreed and mostly resolved quickly apart from some window fitments issues which were delayed due to supplier issues .Customer service from Vicky Foulkes very good , quick responses to e mail and progress updates.
My experieence with Elan Homes was positive and compared favourably with previous new built with Barrat/Wilson, customer service responses and fault fixes much better with Elan Homes .
One critisism and 4 star rating would be they are very slow at finishing the roads and pavements , we have been here over 2 years now and part of the road out of the estate is still not finished even though the final constuctions are well away .

I was really nervous about moving into a new build as I have never had one before and people kept telling me you will fill a sheet of A4 paper with snags when you move in.
We have been in our new house since last March and we have only had 1 snag which is a tile cracked with movement in the en-suit.
I called the customer care team and spoke to a lady called Lynn, she listened to everything I said and dealt with the issue straight away.
We are absolutely in love with our new home and so happy we chose Elan.

Actually means -
We are really annoyed you have found all the mistakes we tried to mask/hide from you - we will not be taking responsibility for any of them and if you continue to challenge our non-actions we will use every possible excuse and delaying tactic provided by our legal team to make sure that the only way you will ever get anything ‘over and above’ basic levels of service or complaint resolution is to take us to court - are you ready for that fight ???

I've just moved in to my new home by Elan Homes. My experience with Elan from beginning to end went smoothly mainly due to the professional and friendly service offered by Rosie Tierney the sales executive at the Balmoral Gardens site. Rosie has seen me through every step of the purchase making it less stressful than I imagined it would be. Rosie offered good sound advice and made the whole experience a pleasurable one. Rosie has been at the end of the phone or in person at the office whenever I have had a query or a decision to make. Rosie is a true asset to Elan Homes !!! Thank you to Rosie I now have a new home that I managed to purchase without any problems and I'm now happily settling in, still with Rosie's help as I do so !

We moved in 2 years ago and are still waiting for the roads to be made up. The ironwork is raised making it a nightmare to drive through the development.
We have been given dates for it to be done, but then nothing happens.
